The Tysha reveal physically hurt me. The show completely cut that whole part which was like a huge disservice imo. The way Tyrion was so convinced nobody could ever love him only to find that Tysha did all along... it's so cruel. Tywin deserved exactly what he got.
The same thing happened to me, Tywin stretched the rope when he already had Jaime in his hand, bringing Shae to the stand, and Tyrion went up to see his father about Tysha, my anxiety made me write the meeting between Tywin and the sweet Tysha, of like Lannister hooves trampled on the brand new wings of that butterfly
as someone whose read the books multiple times, nothing brings me as much joy as seeing videos of other people falling in love with the series i hold so dearly. MOREEEE
Same. I'm like an ASOIAF Jehovas witness. I'm always trying to get people to read the books and any time I'm at a thrift store I always pick up any ASOIAF books which I then give to people for free as an extra incentive for them. I haven't had much success though😭. In all my years of propagandizing I only got three people to read them and two of them are in my family. All those books I handed out are gathering dust on various shelves. I just enjoy experiencing that first time reading vicariously through others since I've practically got them memorized at this point. I mostly have to get that experience on the internet unfortunately.
"Jaime Lannister sends his regards" - the Red Wedding is never easy. And the fact that it's just in the middle of the book, like you have so much to get through after it. Feels really bad.
Love seeing someone read these books and really get surprised. I know someone mentioned the combined reading order for the next 2 books, and that's how I read it the first time, but personally I don't recommend that for your first read. It really throws the pacing off, and book 4 is a great read on its own. You just have to let yourself get invested in it
The Ohers attacking the Fist of the first men and Samwell trying to escape are some of my favorite chapters. It is so scary. The wights are nearly completely unstoppable and nobody is ready for it.

I really love hearing women’s perspectives on these books. I wish there were more female booktubers reviewing these books. I’m trying so hard to get my sister to at least try out the first one, that I literally told her I would read any of her romance books of her choosing, if she at least reads A Game of Thrones.
I wish I had a channel when I first read them because I'm so obsessed I've read them all like a hundred times!! How does your sister feel about audiobooks? Roy Dotrice did a great job, the prologue chapter is especially gripping to listen to
Maybe get her into fantasy romance first, like throne of glass by Sarah j maas which is genuinely amazing and then she will be more inclined to read AGoT x

@@erinmoloney_x I haven’t heard of that. I may check that out myself. Appreciate it!
I hope you enjoy reading the 4th book, it's my second favorite. Although most people don't think it's a good book, it introduces many of the characters and central plots of the chronicles. Mainly Dorne and House Martell.
Video was worth the wait. They're both great books. Clash is probably my favourite of the series, because as you said it feels like Tyrion's book. A lot of the quotes you highlighted make it into the show, word for word. It's not explicitly stated, but there's a theory that Robb dies twice. When he dies at the Red Wedding he "wargs" into Grey Wind, but then the wolf gets killed, so he dies again in the wolf. On Joffrey, your initial thought makes sense. Tommen will be easier to manage.
I loved this video! Asoiaf are my favorite books, and it makes me happy when anybody reads them. ASOS is widely considered the best book, and I can see why. But I actually like the next two even better. They may have slower moving plots, but the character development, the prose, the subtle magic of grrm to me just keeps getting better and better. Also, small paul is the best character in the series haha
Ahhh Erin this is amazing! I was waiting for ACOK and you released a 2 for 1! The next book is really different by the way. It’s a funny one, a lot of people, myself included, didn’t like it on the first read, but then on rereads it becomes a favourite. The next two books were originally one book, but publishes made George split them as it was way too big. So you end up getting half the characters in each book. It means that when you start A Dance With Dragons, you end up going back in time again right to where Clash finished. There are some chapter orders, like the All Leather Must Be Boiled one, which sync up the two books so you read chapters from each, but you might just want to read each book as it is, just wanted to let you know :) I love love love Jaime chapters. He really changes as a person, I think he’s the most complex character in the series. The whole magic slowly coming back into the world is so cool. Tyrions abuse is heartbreaking. Arya’s journey is depressing, her journey through the war torn riverlands is so sad. I’m really glad you enjoy the series!! Can’t wait for the next 😊
Man I'm jealous of your books. I probably caused myself eye damage from reading the tiny print on the mini books for years lol. Also I like the covers as well, I didn't consider that the UK had different covers for some reason. I'm gonna have to collect them all now😂. Honestly I prefer the Uk format, Splitting the books makes sense and having bigger pages and bigger print just makes for a more pleasant reading experience. I'm almost mad at myself for not investing a little more on my quality of life. ASOIAF are my favourite books of all time and somehow I let myself read the whole series front to back three times over the years on these tiny fat books that started falling apart on my second read through😭
Great video! I am always afraid, when someone starts this series, that they will be pushed away by the graphic content and sometimes unpleasant fanbase when it has so much beautiful writing and character work in it. George's plottting and world building are great, but in my opinion none of it would matter if it weren't for Arya, or Jon, or Tyrion, or all of the other flawed FLAWED, yet understandable characters.

sadly tywin would have had a more painful death if you believe the theory Oberyn poisoned him
I just watched the part where she so innocently says "I really hope this works out" and all I could think was "oh, my sweet summer child"
if you love brienne, you’re going to love a feast for crows!
I'm so excited for you to read 'A Feast for Crows', in my opinion it is the best book in the whole series :)

Asoiaf is probably my favorite book series, but as much as I love the books, it’s just so disappointing we’ll most likely never get an official ending
dont worry i will finish it
kevan lannister chapter IS the ending
a feast for crows is fantastic book. jaime and cersei chapters are fire.

Ahh okay thank you for letting me know about the next two books, I’ll keep that in mind. Thanks for watching!
Danys House of the Undying chapter is one of the best chapters I’ve read. The visions and propehcies are so cool

Loving the ASOIAF content! I would love to have you on my channel to discuss the series at some point. Let me know if you're interested 🙏

Arya wants to kill the big names herself
4 and 5 can be read together. I hope you do that and treat it as a giant book 4 (because that’s what it is), instead of reading them sequentially.
Okay I will!
@@erinmoloney_x let me get you the chapter order. You’ll be flipping back and forth between books.
It’s so much more rewarding to read it this way. Unfortunately the book was too large and had to be split.
i prefer reading it separately. theres so many povs its can be difficult to keep track.
I loved ARYA in the TV series and she was my favorite
I'm sure you said in last video, but did you watch the HBO series?
I did, but it was years ago, need to rewatch it after reading the books!
Do you plan on reading Fire and Blood?
Yeah definitely! i’ll see what is the best reading order
this books are fantastics
