Zira's Origin II Jerome (Lion King AU)

- Hello everyone and welcome!
Finally! After weeks I can finally present you this Lion King Alternate Universe, of Zira's Origin! I can't believe it's done.
𝗙𝗶𝗿𝘀𝘁 𝘁𝗵𝗶𝗻𝗴𝘀 𝗳𝗶𝗿𝘀𝘁: This is an AU, meaning that this storyline, characters etc. is purely fan-made. There is no official/ canon origin story to Zira, so this is me just having fun. Feel free to let me know your thoughts, but please don't go ahead and be like: "Well actually Zira got the scar because...."
Just a quick fun fact: I had to create 27 (!) layers for this monstrosity! Sony Vegas kept crashing, so I was only able to render a few scenes and had to put them back together.
𝗦𝘁𝗼𝗿𝘆:
-A young Zira is brought away by her father. Suddenly two lions appear and take Zira with them. Zira doesn't understand what is going on, but has no choice then to stay still.
-The young lion cub is presented to her new pride, but most of the lions aren't very pleased with her being there. Especially a young female lion cub named Yakuti. No one takes a liking in her, expect the young prince Mukuwa.
-Time passes by and Mukuwa becomes the new King of the pride. A King needs a queen, so tensions between Zira and Yakuti are high. Even after all the time Mukuwa prefers Zira over Yakuti and they both share a romantic time together.
- Mukuwa still hasn't made Zira his official queen, so Zira decides to confront him, but to her shock she sees the young king spending his time with Yakuti. Zira is deeply hurt and runs back to the cave.
- The sun goes down and Mukuwa returns. Zira confronts him and Mukuwa attacks her and scars her ear. Zira is devestated.
- Her desperation only rises when Mukuwa announces that Yakuti is going to be ruling the pride by his side and they even have a cub together.
- Feelling alone and heartbroken Zira decides to leave and runs days on end.
- After running for days Zira rests on a rock. A young male lion, named Scar sees her and starts to talk to her. After hearing her story Scar takes pity on her and offers her a place in his pride. Zira gladly takes the offer.
- Scar presents Zira to Mufasa and Sarabi, that are currently celebrating the fact that they'll soon have an heir. Mufasa and Sarabi agree that Zira can stay.
- Scar and Zira grow closer and soon fall in love.
- Another circle of life starts once the young prince Simba is born. While everyone celebrates, Scar isn't happy. (Basically were the story follows the Lion King movie)
- Scar tells Zira about his plans to get rid of both Mufasa and Simba. Zira is shocked, but would do anything for her saviour.
- Scar kills Mufasa and takes over the pride and Zira even gives birth to their son Nuka. Scar is not happy with him.
- After Simba returns Scar is defeated and killed, which causes Zira to seek revenge for her fallen mate.
- After Nala and Simba celebrate the birth of their son Kopa Zira decides to take matters into her own paws. Time passes by and Kopa grows older, until Zira murders the little cub and leaves him to die.
- Simba exiles Zira and her cub from the pride and so Zira starts her plot to take the pridelands back.
- Basically the story ends were the second movie begins.
Puuuuhhh... that was quite the paragraph. Well I hope I was able to get the story across through visiuals, but I wanted to right the story down just in case.
I know there isn't a lot of explanation to the beginning, but it's not really necessary to the story. Plus Zira has no idea what's going on, so why would we know?
I personally don't like the Lion King 2 toooo much. I don't hate it or anything, but it's not really one of my favourites either, but Zira as villian nailed it. There was something about her that I absolutely loved.

I like the idea that Zira never had anything against Mufasa and didnt really want him dead but was just so crazy-driven by Scar so she just did anything for him.

Zira has always been these interesting character for me and I was thinking why she would be so obsessed with Scar. What woulf be the background that she would even threaten hef daughters life? (As Vitani switches sides to Kovu)

Ok Mukuwa, that was all uncalled for! I mean Zira overreacted JUST slightly, there wasn't a kiss between Mukuwa and Yakuti or anything that confirmed he was cheating (I mean, friends hug sometimes, though I will admit Yakuti pinning him doesn't look good). But she did have the right to ask about it and him scarring her for it was completely uncalled for!! Did he actually have feelings for Zira? It honestly looks like he just played her.
Also, sidenote, I love Mukawa's design...
Thank you so very much!! ^^ I initially wanted to show Mukawas's feeling more clearly. He did care for Zira and had feelings for her, but her status in the Pride (being very low) and him being the King was pretty complicated for him. So I guess it's really up for everyone's interpretation ^^

@@flufflewarrior ohh interesting... but honestly Zira deserves better than him (although I'm not sure Scar is better) if he hits her out of anger. That would not be a healthy relationship.

I personally don't read a lot of these theories. I prefer to come up with own stories, especially when there is no canon story yet. ^^

Also for this au, when Mukuwa and Yakuti hold up their cub, I saw a strong resemblance to Vitani. Maybe if you develop it further, Zira and her lionesses are hunting further when they find the spot, seeing Vitani and potentially massacring the pride and stealing Vitani away.
Just an idea though, really good work with the au and I knew what was happening throughout the entire thing. Creative video

OMG I have absolutely *no words!* 💖💖 I love the song, the effects, the characters, all of Zira's masking, but most important: a wonderful story! I know you worked hard on this crossover..... *It's Perfect* ❤️❤️❤️ You created like a 3 minute Lion King movie! Even though Zira was an actuall villan I still feel sorry for everything that she's been trough.... But I absolutely love her as a villan character, both in the original Lion King, and in this AU 💖

I really loved Zira as villain. There was something about her that just made me love her And so I started to think why she would go this length and become so obsessed with Scar.
After being left behind by so many lions she cares for, I thought that Scar would have probably been the only character who didn't just toss her aside. I didn't. Not to mention how manipulative Scar can be. I didn't want her to have an activr part in the killing of Mufasa, since I personally think the only reason she would turn into a full-on villain is when Scar dies. The only lion who treared her with respect.
So this is the story I came up with ^^

Yeah, in general I love villans with traumatic past! For example, for a long time I have been participating in RP (so-called role playing) on Messenger, based on the series "Survivors" by Erin Hunter: I created an antagonist to one pack, who was once a completely good, normal, nice and admired by everyone famous sled dog (inspired by the film Balto). However, everything changed when one day an avalanche struck his team during the race. His companions died, and he, despairing that he could not save them, returned to the city. His father (in short, an asshole who only wanted his son to win races all the time and didn't give a f*ck about his safety) got furious and told him to leave, claiming that he had brought disgrace to his family. A few moons later wandering in the woods, he found a Pack of wild dogs. Later on their Alpha let him stay in the pack as a new member. After moons he became one of the most respected dogs in the whole pack, despite his character changed dramatically. From good dog, he has become a proud, stubborn, ruthless, arrogant and often very aggressive dog who loves to exalt himself above others and despise the weaker ones.

@@flufflewarrior Well, Steele's mother was actually good and cared about him deeply, but his father had this great ambition of his son becoming a champion, just like him. And Steele (yes, I've aslo taken his name from Balto, oh that inspiration😅) He just loved his father too much, he always wanted his father to be proud of him and didn't had the courage to stand up for himself.

Beautiful, Zira as a baby is so cute. Mukuwa is an asshole, gave her hopes and cheated on her. Its an unusual story, no Kuzimu, no Azola, but very interesting. I love Zira

This is so sad what Zara had to go through as a cub but the videos and the editing skills are amazing love this😍😍 but it’s still very sad that zira’s father gave her up to go live with a different pride and how that one male lion practically used her and then tore a chunk out of her ear that was extremely sad to me 😭😭😭

Apparently zira is originally a pride lander and she was born and lives in pride lands sometimes i mistaken her as a robot built by zurg but that theory is stupid I made that theory up by myself I also made a video about zira as a robot

Have been watching this video several times over as it got released. Recently I also watched your series Traditions and Dreamers. It's amazing to see how you have improved at making smooth manips and turning characters into other characters. What stood out to me even from your older videos is your exceptional talent of telling very compelling emotional stories which get the viewer hooked for more.
I think "Traditions" could work even as a story with your own drawn characters. You have so many skills that I think you could create a succesful animation/comic or other art medium story completely of your own from beginning to end. I hope you don't give up drawing for a boring nine to five job. Your skills deserve so much better, you yourself deserve better. I hope you are doing well mentally, times have been quite rough for you♡ Wishing you good strength to withstand in this harsh world.
Also sorry if it bothers you when I ask, where did get these two Zira masks or did you do them yourself at 1:52 and 3:04? I am in a middle of a huge Zira project myself and any help of gathering some Zira masks would help. I understand if you don't want to share them especially if you did them yourself but if you do, I am highly grateful.
I am also one of the few people like you who thinks Zira was the showstealer of TLK2, easily my favorite TLK2 character. She gets way too little of love by this fandom.

I love writing stories and creating characters. I actually planned on making an animated series in the future, but I sadly lack the time to do so. I do have a job already, but don't worry: I won't ever give up drawing. It's something that I have done for as long as I can think and it really helps me to feel good.
And thank you again :) I'm doing pretty good at the moment. Things are a bit stressfull, with work, but things will get easier again. Hope you are doing well yourself!

I personally think it's because Sony Vegas wasn't able to handle over 48 layers anymore and now only displays an error once I try to open the file... :c If I get it to work again I'll happily let you know!

Absolutely agree! You might not believe me, but I personally didn't like the TLK 2 that much. Simba was unlikable, Nala was only there for a few seconds and I don't like Kiara that much. But Zira saved this movie for me! She is just so underrated!

Life is kind of complicated for me right now and not feeling my best. But trying to make it through the hardships! One day I wish to write a book and reboot my old childhood comic. It's a lot of hassle though since I am currently restricted to my office job. Thank you for sympathies and I wish a lot of strength for you

I could understand Simba why he behaves the way he does if the fan theory of him losing the male cub seen at the end of the first movie is true and that would make him the traumatized overprotective helicopter father for Kiara. Probably losing his father as a cub could play a part too. I am neutral towards Kiara but love especially Nuka and Vitani a bit too. Zira wins with her interesting psychology. My personal headcanon for her behavior is abandonment and parental abuse trauma. But I really like your idea of having a toxic relationship too! Her having a nonsafe childhood home could explain her treatment of Nuka, because she would unconsciously see herself in him. Not being a cub who is like their parents wants them to be. Not living up to their expectations. It does not, of course, excuse her mental abuse aimed at Nuka but could explain it and make a good villain. Somebody seriously needs to make a crossover about Nuka and Zira with a song by Kikuo called "You're a Worthless Child". I have been hesitating about opening a MEP with this theme.

Thank you! :) It's pretty simple, but very time consuming.
Basically it all comes down to masks. You mask out the part of the clip (for example Ziras nose) and then color it the way you want :)

It's a made up alternate universe. This story (same as Kopa) are NOT canon. There i no actual reason Zira has a scar. They designed her cause many villains have scars

Same! She has a really good personality and she is gentle and kind, but still fierce! When scar gets mad at her, she doesn't back down and she sticks up for herself, and the lionesses.

Hey there! :)
I made it with maskings. It's kinda difficult to explain, but basically you use a ton of layers.
One the bottom layer you have the basic character ( in this case Kiara, with some slight color changes)
Then you create a layer on top and mask out the markings (in her case, the triangle shape, and the eye markings), now you just adjust the color and there it is ^^
