Completely forgot about the possibility of Mheetu when typing that lol. And yes, Scar possibly saved Zira from drowning and that’s how they met. Zira actually possibly had a brother named Nuka but he unfortunately drowned when they were cubs. It’s rumored that Zira named her son Nuka after her fallen brother.

It is theorized that Nuka was Scar’s actual biological son, but Scar rejected him because he saw Nuka as being too physically and mentally weak. Nuka resented Kovu because he believed that Kovu had taken his role as Scar’s successor and believed he was the rightful heir to Scar’s throne. Zira also ended up developing these same feelings towards Nuka and he became her most neglected child. All of Nuka’s life was spent trying to prove himself and gain his mother’s love and respect and prove that he could be just like Scar, but it was never enough. Scar may have rejected Nuka because he believed he was unworthy of his throne, but eventually it was not Kovu, but Nuka who ended up becoming just like Scar. Nuka may not have been as smart or cunning as Scar was, but he did inherit one major trait that made Scar who he was, his jealousy. Like Scar, Nuka became jealous of his brother for taking what he believed was his rightful spot on the throne and in the end his jealousy, hatred, and hunger to prove himself is what ended him just as it did Scar. Ironic isn’t it?

Nuka looks a lot like his dad but Simba didn't know about Nuka until he banned Zira and her lioness I would take it that Nuka and Simba are cousins cause Scar is Simba's uncle so that must mean that Zira's cubs are Simba's cousins oh wait Vitani and Kovu aren't actual her cubs she just raised them like they were her own cubs okay that probably makes a lot more sense Kovu and Vitani called Zira their mother cause they don't know who are their real parents are they were probably killed by Zira I didn't know Nuka survived I thought he died

Nuka’s coat wasn’t scraggly as a kitten, lmao.. all kid artists get this wrong… 🤦🏼‍♀️ he had a nice coat as a kitten because he was young and healthy, only through neglect and other things in his life did he lose his coat quality, mainly due to termites because him and his family was banished, and he never truly had his mothers attention once Kovu was said to be scars heir and all of that so his appearance as an adult is reflective of that. Kovu’s coat being healthy because he was born later and was favored..
