    That was great. Thanks so much. As a TH-cam taught potter I am so grateful for your videos. I wish I could spend a few days in your studio you have so many cool little tricks.

    I use a diamond core 800 flexible pad and the bottoms are glassy smooth. I used to use a 200 3M until I tried the 800!

    Just a random human coming through. How do you make the bottom smooth? I buy a great mug from shop and its horrible, like scraping your fingernails on a schoolboard.. I almost pass out of the noise. How do I fix it?

      Regular sandpaper should do it slowly, diamond sanding pads will be faster

    Hiya, thank you for this video! Can I ask what wheel and systems are you using please? I need to buy a new wheel and I like how yours has little square bats you can take out and also fit all the other items you are using. Thank you

    Question for you? What is the best glaze for keeping teacups tea stain free. It seems to not matter on price as I have 2 x cheap Ikea mugs - one is visibly more matte then the other and stains up easy. The other Ikea mug is perfectly white at all times, whereas other commercial mugs from high street chains all stain up. What is special about the glaze on that one Ikea mug I wonder?

    Doesn't it then take your signature off? Or is your signature really deep?

      My stamp is maybe 0.1-0.2mm deep. So not very deep, but in terms of sanding clay off, it is plenty deep enough to not be removed. It would take a little while to remove that much clay. Plus I have the slight raised foot around the lip and the logo stamp is inside it, so that gets the bulk of the sanding and leaves the logo alone

    Hey bud. New to all of this and was wondering what clay you are using that doesn't have the little grog in it?
    I see you have a light one and a grey colour that was on the mug with the killer green glaze but im lost as to what im looking for.
    Really enjoying your vids and your style of work.

      I use a dark clay called Anthracite and I have been using a light clay called KGM body but I'm looking to replace it

    I'm surprised how you can get a defined foot with so little trimming. Since the bottom is thin, are these trying on the bat until they pop off?

    • @OldForgeCreations
      @OldForgeCreations  3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      No, I wire off after leaving them on the batts overnight. There's another video about why I time it the way I do. I only lose 1mm or less from wiring off though.

      @@OldForgeCreations I see, thank you. Still perfecting this myself as my studio is too drafty to dry uncovered but that extends the timeline of everything.

    How did you attach your diamond core sanding disc to the bat? Just superglue or something?
