    Thanks Chris, I went to Gloddfa Ganol in the 70's and loved it. Fantastic to see it again. God bless

      @@shonkytours2039 it is but I think with the right conditions there is enough left for it to be reopened, well one can hope. Changing tack would you consider a video on the mines and quarries of the pennant Valley, especially Prince of Wales, Moelfre and Hendre Ddu.? God bless

      @@darreno9874 only been up there once, Cwm ciprwth copper mines and Gilfach. And only quick visit to Prince of Wales. Yes, could do video, but it will only be of outside, and buildings there's only one tunnel through to the open quarry. I think there might be a couple of adits in Hendre ddu, because they're open quarries, there's only tunnels connecting the pits

      @@shonkytours2039 I've wanted to walk around that valley for years, but I'm not able to due to M. E. So would love to see what's there. Thanks for showing me places I've been and some I will never get to. God bless

    Thank you very much, I really enjoyed this one, I look up there every day when I’m walking the dogs. It was very nice to see inside. The commentary was very informative. Well done. I see you are well on the way to your next milestone for subs.

      Just a pity most of it has been destroyed. The lower levels are much better, and much bigger with plenty of artifacts. I'm just lucky I got to see a lot of the other levels before they got destroyed by McAlpines.
      Yes it was only a few days ago I reached 100 subscribers, nearly at 200 in a few days. The only annoying thing is TH-cam must have noticed I'm getting lots of hours viewed, so they've put adverts in. I make the videos for the love of the mines, not for £, but TH-cam still adds adverts

    Old workings with extensive hand work on the supports, etc. You almost never see that amount of wall building with the waste rock over here in Canada. Thanks for posting this. You should find someone to do the exploring with you as it's good to have back up in these old mines I think. Even though I have toured many by myself over the years.

    • @shonkytours2039
      @shonkytours2039  3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Yes, those walls are amazing, nothing went to waste in these mines. I've usually got people with me underground, and would never go alone if I had to do dangerous manoeuvres, but I know these mines inside out so can risk going alone 😊

    A rare delight & pleasure to see it again. Wondered if Gloddfa still linked through to Nyth y gigfran ?
    Gloddfa Ganol was beautiful . A tragic loss. Soon it will all be gone.
    Can I rent a dummy out for the weekend , or by the hour 😜 £ ?

    This video is slightly misleading, as it suggests that it's a continuous trip. It's initially far from continuous as the false crane chamber and the inner end of the reservoir/former escape balcony have long been completely isolated due to past untopping. Impassable roof falls prevent the continuous trip suggested here.

    • @shonkytours2039
      @shonkytours2039  3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      I don't understand what you mean as miss leading. It might be edited to come across as a bit miss leading to stop others searching for the proper way in as it's a working mine. As for continuous, it is barring having to go outside for 2 minutes, which I cut out to hide the location

    Very concerned when you saw the coblynau at 21:45 you didn't leave them a pair of boots or a piece of food. They might make you pay for your rudeness...

      I've already had my payback off them in that mine, slipped and cracked my tibula 🙈😂. So they leave me alone now
