This opening track is not Frosti. It is the musical box version of Pagan Poetry which appears on the single, Cocoon. The Alexander McQueen Exhibition in London had Frosti playing within the Romantic Exoticism Room - a life size rendition of musical boxes with revolving mannequins and mirrors - jaw dropping.
Mmmmh, i just checked the bacl of the case of "vespertine live at the royal opera house" 's DVD and this track is in fact listed as "Frosti"...who knows?
@@inherewithus it's an intentional error--"frosti" was just easier to put in the tracklisting for the live dvd and less confusing, that's all. the opening song playing on the music box is in fact, Pagan Poetry (music box version) : th-cam.com/video/9MUz9MMKqfs/w-d-xo.html
this was simply beautiful. of all the things they'd played, this was the one that made me emotional. Pagan poetry is my ringtone right now for about a month, and this, just the harp music, nearly made me cry.
The music box has a series of prongs of different lengths that touch the spinning disc and the little holes flick the prongs, making them play different notes. The crank is what makes the disc spin. So basically it'll play the same song over and over and over if you keep cranking it up And I agree with you, this is tuly beautiful
Frosti is basically very similar to the music box arrangement of Pagan Poetry, I think the two peieces of music are purposefully intertwined, and it does say Frosti on the DVD you are right, but this is actually the pagan poetry version. Either way I love it, thanks for posting!
Despite the fact this is officially listed as Frosti, this song is actually Pagan Poetry in a music box rendition. I realised that listening to the album and the live in sequence. Anyone else?
I play this concert for my toddler god kids. If I can’t get any of the adults in my life to listen to Björk with me then I’ll listen to it with the kids lol 😂 I also sing “Hidden Place,” “Undo,” and “Sun In My Mouth” when they’re fussing in the middle of the night.
Björk used more than 1 music box. if you listen carefully to Pagan Poetry on the album Vespertine, you will hear this in the background. It is 100% clear that it is not Frosti, unless you are tone deaf. the DVD labels it as Frosti, but clearly that is a mistake.
A bit different that from the album but i believe it IS Frosti. Pagan Poetry is slower and a bit threatful ... It's just nothing, but as sweet as honey.
isn't this the music box for pagan poetry?? either way, i still love it. vespertine was definately one of her best albums.

Lol you again!!
I was about to type the same thing.
This one doesn't have that gorgeous chord progression.

Eric Sandoval *laughs*.... wherever there's a music box I am there

It's so cute when she picks the paper confetti out of the music box.. This is such a beautiful, simple enchanting tune. Björk forever!

the most decadent concert i've ever attended. sheer beauty.
i’m soooooo jealous
it's incredible how she can turn a 'simple' thing in such an amazing and impressive presentation!
i feel like a goddess listening to this..so divine..

her music scratches my brain in like that silly little spot

The DVD say "1.- Frosti"
;_; So much beautiful

aunque debo decirte que Volta me sorprendio gratamente, canciones como Wanderlust y Declare Independence me hacen vibrar
Amazing but, this isn't Frosti, it's Pagan Poetry :3
Frosti is the Music Box version of Pagan Poetry.
@@v0lt4 nope
@@v0lt4 it absolutely is not!
no, it is actually frosti. but it is simplified, shortened version for her smaller music box, not the one used in the recording.
This is also how i feel ...it's pretty and calm
MÁGICAL
yeah! is rosti...
Doesn't sound like the album version but it is still an excellent piece of art.
@lilplinky lucky! hahaha "I WAS THERE!!... die of envy"
Holly motherrrrr!!!!! iffin amaziing!!!!!!!!

Referring to the audience-Oh my God,stop shouting and listen to that beautiful music!

yep, this is the music box version of pagan poetry.
why did bjork name this track of the dvd as Frosti?
Horay!
Homogenic y Vespertine son como la dualidad entre el bien y el mal
How can anyone get this music box...I think I would name my first baby after the person who could help me.
i second that. it was good... but i was hoping for better. vespertine was a masterpiece.
@lilplinky lucky
you self fighteous critics need to shut the hell up, bjork is the goddess of sound, let her be!!!!!!!!!
me gusta muxo esta cancion ... de exo siento q el vespertine es el mejor disco de bjork ;) sin duda
A bit different that from the album but i believe it IS Frosti.

هذا الفيديو نشر قبل أن اولد انا حتى😅
@MONGWANAproductions That's because it's actually Pagan Poetry, not Frosti.
what song was after this one...im curious to see how she followed it
los 6 a quienes no les gusta esto, me pregunto que diablos los emociona en la vida????????
Sounds like the music box version of pagan poetry
Agree with the comment down/up here
Soberbia!!
Frosti X Pagan Poetry!! ❄
Hey, this is not Frosti from the Vespertine album.
what is a disappointment? she named the song Frosti because that's the name of Jóga's son.
see es verdad .. = el ultimo disco es ggenial pero este es mas relajao :p
Hahaha! sorry i can't help you
This is not Frosti. It is Enter Sandman.
This is not "Frosti", it's "Pagan Poetry" ;)
nevermind, I understand what you're saying after watching the entire video.
It goes beyond of playing accurately a song. We're talking about essences.
Kyou!.
Every album has great songs, but in Volta EVERY song is beautiful.
My point of view.
Kyo.-
This is not Frosti.
Es muxo muchismo mejor homogenic ;D
the beginning of this video sounds similar to gagas jewels n drugs
Alex Chasirides it's the sound of tuning the strings
+David de León ohh ok
It's Pagan Poetry, not Frosti.
Hmmm... she seemed a little flat in this one... :P
Mmm, no, i think not...
Pagan Poetry
This is pagan poetry, not Frosti
i know. i don't get why they call it frosti. such a disappointment no matter what.
