The most important issue that Nigeria need to address is to clean up corruption. Then good governance will benefit Nigerians. ✌️🙏❤️
This Gentleman has spoken clearly and consistently
It's heartwarming. 'Charity begins at home'. Our home refineries should be adequately supplied for mass production and that will supply domestic use and export. Let the present dispensation not be sabotaged
God bless Nigeria
Enhanced security across the nation; Intensified farming and food production; local refining of crude oil; and accountable production and management of mineral resources; cost-effective transparent governance are the recommended solutions to the Nigerian economy.
Tinubu for 8 years presidency. It now shows that Tinubu will turn out to be the president in the history of this country.since the floating of Naira in Nigeria,we have never seen a naira recovery like this one.
What is recovering ? Why must we'be speaking English without doing English ask your self how much is a bag of rice in the maru
No criminal have a place in Nigeria's history. He met it at N700.
Nigeria is improving like it or not.
Clap for yourself.
For all of you who are commenting about my post, I want to repeat that Tinubu will end up the best President in Nigeria history.Look at his 9 months presidency and compare to any Nigeria leaders since 1960,then you will agree with me that Tinubu presidency has been consequential to Nigeria never seen before in Nigeria history,Naira started float in 1996, we never experienced a situation when naira lost value against dollar and revalue again only in Tinubu era, from 2000 naira to dollar just three months ago and now 1150 to a dollar.Kudos Mr President.Eight years a must.
When is the recovery going to reflect on the prices of commodities or is it just a Voodoo recovery.
Let Cadoso and City Boy give us the amount of dollars that importers bought at 1900 last month and those goods have not yet arrived. How much are they going to sell those goods at?????? Are they going to sell them at $1100???? to the Naira?????
What a brainless question. Because they bought the goods at 1900 dollar government should keep dollar at 1900.
Did importers or whatever you call them explain to Nigerians why the goods they bought at lower rate was bitterly increased bcos the dollars was in the the high rate by the time their goods arrived Nigeria ,My friend the should lick their wound bcos its business
Today, the interest rate is 30% tell me if any productive sector can borrow at that rate.
Naira is not the problem but ineffective or insensitive of those governments to stop insurgency
But when the price are going up. You guys are shouting naira is too expensive to purchase dollar
You are an ingrate.
Great, honest analysis, well put together.
If we only we depend on crude oil, we will definitely get back to high rate exchange. Because this magamaga is short term. Unless we get back to production in other sector and fight insecurity. If this are not carried out, we will be back there sooner rather than later.
We hope this recoveries reduces prices of goods and services because Nigerians are still suffering. The young man spoke eloquently
That was greatly analyzed.
Now will subsidizing dollar to BDCs be sustainable?
Today, they are defending the Naira, in fact, they are now dictating the price.
The Naira is already crashing again, losing about N100 to a dollar every day, and the media is still reporting Naira comeback? That is no longer true. Naira is N1,270 to a dollar today and crashing fast!
very intelligent and data driven analysis
Sambo and his dumb questions
Top performance, But when will it start translating to price reduction of Domestic goods and services.
Yet prices of commodities are rising, pms is now 750
Has d naira value gone back to 600naira to $1 before Tinubu government ?😡😒
Buhari and Jonathan should also return it to 80naira per dollar he meet it
@@oyedepoolaoluwa2429 🙆🏿♂️another Stockholm syndrome sufferer…🤦🏾♂️
You are talking about the fixed rate of #600 with the subsidy?
@@oluwaseyipeter4911which subsidy? They still pay subsidy till date, they do that secretly, the present government is the more you look...... Until APC, tinubu led government reverse naira back to #190 they met in 2015, they're joking, after all Buhari promised $1-#1 which never happened upon all the noise in 2014/2015 during campaign, all of are not dumb and fools in this country, I will consider them working when I see dollar to naira below #190 before 2027.
@oyedepoolaoluwa2429 these politicians are not representing our interests except few of them, the present day federal government is the more you look..... stop defending them, if you see what their plans and programs for me and you, you will forever hate them, put tribalism aside and begin to think constructively.
I find it difficult to understand the difference between defending the naira under Cardoso and that of Emefiele.
Please, what's the rebound really about if it hasn't reflected positively to prices of commodities in Nigeria? Everything is still very expensive.
No gains, he met it at N700. There's no gain at N701 period.
learn something new today: permit me ashawo money!
What about Tinubu's Agriculture revolution? In addition to ramping up of oil production.
They're unknowingly setting time bomb. People who bought dollars at the rate of 1800 should now fold their hands and walk away just like that. 😡
What did you say when those people sold the goods they bought for 700 per dollar at 1500? Do they give masses or government the profit?
Floating and speculation.... Nobody has ever explained it in a simple term.
Just jagons... Support local production simple
The policy by CBN to continually hike the interest rate has proven to be very effective. Hopefully this is a sustainable move to help the Naira appreciate even further.
You brain is upsidedown
Is the rise in the value of naira not temporary and fake?Local production and consumption of home made goods and its exports could provide a more longstanding value to naira. Wait till after Tinubu regime then you can assess Cardoso’s performance.
I thought he should separate the short term, medium and long-term measures and the context in his analysis otherwise it mixture of strategies.
Yahoo boys should also start billing clients in Naira. We need to strengthen our Naira
This man has spoken absolute nonsense. Yemi Cardoso was appointed after the policy came into effect. There was an acting governor after Emefiele was kicked out, and Yemi Cardoso came in later to meet tye challanges on ground. He met backlogs which he first dealt with, and once those were out of the way, he started the process of recovery. Again this man is speaking absolute nonsense.
Wrong absolute floating has been on hefty re he was appointed. Don’t brake shine out there f his good work. Don’t let Arise witch-hunting derail you. You spoke well already.
The obingo sey he score Cardoso under minus😂😂😂 While trying to sound civil he still managed to expose his love for Emefiele and his reckless policies.
Even with emefiele's recklessness the economy then is much better than now. So what's your argument?
@@nwanchamaalu8017 Tell us what your tribesman Emefiele achieved with ffg policy:
1. Multiple exchange window
2. Confiscation of Naira
3. Currency notes redesign
4. FX grant and waivers to cronies
5. Continuous issuance of BDC licences without justification
6. Non compliance with fund repatriation agreements.
Let's not talk about the money he stole cos efcc is handling that one.
The obingo na tribal bigot..his not happy with cardosos successes
9:46 What does Goldman Sachs know that we don’t or should know? Let’s stop jumping on what foreigners who don’t apply the Nigerian factor to their textbook analysis.
If Goldman Sachs wrote something bad about the Nigerian economy, I guess you wouldn't type what you typed. We know people like you. You happily embrace negative news, but you scrutinize the positive ones because you are concerned that good news will put the administration you don't like in a good light.
@@olukoredefakorede1422 Please, stay on topic.
@@onon7687 I'm on the topic. All these skepticism because your candidate lost the election. We are waiting for you in 2027.
Oga you are talking nonsense you claim that naira is gaining to dollar are you and your Tinubu that makes the dollar to skyrocket and let me make it clear go to the market and see who you people make things to skyrocket
God bless President Tinubu and the federal republic of Nigeria. 🙏👍🤣
As an economist, we understand that the free hand of market forces of demand & supply will always eventually take dominance. So whatever magic that saw this sudden appreciation of Nigeria's currency is impossible to be sustained in the long term and long run. In fact the boomerang effect is so so dangerous and catastrophic.
Why do Nigerians continue to mispronounce the word fiscal. It's completely different from physical.
Anyway, the so called appreciation of Naira is not sustainable. The only sustainable measure that would keep Naira stable is productivity in Nigeria. Absent that, we will be seeing this type of temporary knee jerk reactions. It's simple economics, not rocket science.
English should not be our first language anyways.
