play with the gain/volume on your mic, my guess would be gain down, volume up. and every 5-10 laps with the suction cup, pull up and tap the valve back down, it gives better contact on the mating surface and gives a thicker ring on the valve, consider it like clearing the flutes when drilling a hole.

My audio setup definitely needs some help. Mostly me. Good to know on lapping!
Are you going to change the clutch?
Not yet. I’m going to get it running and driving and see how the clutch and all the other parts are doing afterwords
