@@damemethief8900 well, you still are flooring it through the entire corner, actually the more power you have, the more you have to use the throttle to control the car. With low power, it's all YEET !
@@Charlie-Charlot its way more fun and easy to just peg the throttle 90% of the time and learn to clutch kick, find gears, and steer properly in these.
Dude, this video is really good! The in-board is fuckin great. We can see everything - right angle , right camera mounting, we can see the driver. We can see everything right as we need to see it, and enough of it.
@@airconditioner130 I'm going inside as soon as I let this car run for a bit longer and Forza is going on on that circuit💯🤣 Superb content Alexi, low horsepower high commitment haha👌😎
This is soooo cool. I love me a high-hp smokeshow too, but something is just downright riveting about how hard they manhandle these things to get them (and keep them) sideways. Chuck in so hard, clutch kick, YANK the e-brake, and foot buried in the gas. Just looks so fun
Damn that sound it's amazing... just like that in that video with an AE86 racing two EF3, for me nothing can match the sound a small inline 4 screaming it's guts out
god i love everything about this video, this is my new go to video when im explaining to someone what drifting is and i want to show them what drifting looks like
I’m 400 miles away from my own 86 right now. I moved to a new place with limited parking, so I had to leave it with my family because I only have my daily for now. Not sure when I’ll get to drive it again. This video brings me so much joy, in the mean time. AE86 forever.
The fact that there's just SO MANY AE86 coupes in Japan is tear-jerking to me. I've been trying to look for decent-looking 86 GTS's in the States for a while; zilch, ofc. But then I look here. PEOPLE JUST HAVING A BUNCH OF FUN AT AN EVENT FOR *ONLY* 86s. Personally I think the coupe>hatchback, but seeing all these little econoboxes being thrown around just makes me smile. I'd love to actually PARTICIPATE in one of them later in life.
Hopefully this inspires some restoration to that rocket BEAMS86 of yours Alexi. 😉 Make it look good again, you drift it good enough now not to crash often. 😜✌
I LOVE TSUKUBA!! I drift this in psvr all the time with my wheel its one of my favs (: so cool to see real corner entry and steering technique, it really helps me get better!
Love the video! That camera angle was awesome! We could him, his hands, his feet, the road ahead, and the left side of the car for them side by side drifts. Just awesome!
The most appealing factor about drifting low power cars (especially the AE86) is that you're almost always full throttle. Quickly lift the gas to dip the front and violently change direction for oversteer, then full-throttle all the way with the engine screaming at its full capacity in unison.
I feel like people are more interested in these low powered cars because they're more attainable and can still be just as fun as a high powered cars. This video was too cool🤩
@noriyaro2 That 360 camera angle from the passenger seat is amazing. Love how you can see not only the track but the driver's inputs as well. Also the sense of speed is tenfold. Great investment for sure!
your videos always remind me of how bad an idea it was to let go of my levin and my trueno... tried making up for it with an FD and a GT86 .... but we all know it can never be replaced.
idk if you ever see this I just wanted to say I love your content and have been watching ever since the itasha meet video. much love and I actually like your goblin laugh :P much love from Sweden!

well what if i drift 140hp bmw with no handbrake?
You got complex, thats easy to tell
I prefer these low/no smoke drifting a lot more than the high power smoke fest

Both are good, different, but equally good
@@AR-uz4ek but still you have to more carefully pick gears, use your momentum properly, try keeping the tires loose as much as you can
You know what they say... different smokes for different folks... that is what they say, right?
Agree with ya. Remember me the time I practice with so low power car. Learned so much with them.
What we wanted:
What we got: *Beans*
Yeah 240hp@9k (or thereabouts), catastrophe!!! :D :D
Yeah I know 😅
hey, at least the Beans86 has an interior... ish.
Beans is awesome though
*Confirmed*
I know its cool to have high horsepower drift cars but there is something charming about this type of cars, lightweight and low power.
They seem a lot more fun IMO
@@Charlie-Charlot its way more fun and easy to just peg the throttle 90% of the time and learn to clutch kick, find gears, and steer properly in these.
Agreed
@@patrickdabs that’s what I meant
low power drifting is literally the original form of drifting
That was a really cool camera angle, its awesome to see everything going on outside the car and see the driver and pedal work all in one frame! noice!
Best camera angle
Runningfree86 style 👌
Oh yeah, my eyes sub conciously glued on the foor and wheel work
Great insight
Have to agree. Also good edits.
I absolutely love how that navy and gold colour scheme looks.
Like the 3rd gen camaro two tone
Suits the car perfectly don't it
I love the dark chocolate colour, too. That car is so cleeeeeaaaan
