It sounds ai generated. And China is singlehandedly deforesting Africa. Despite what you have been told, to discriminate is not an inherently bad thing. It means to make a distinction based on certain criteria. I would not be surprised if the entire thing was made up nonsense. I googled the Gobi desert and there appears to already be grassland areas. In fact the only reason the desert is spreading is because they cut the trees in massive numbers. And this appears to be a massive government endeavor to fix the problems they created as the reason they cut the trees was to make farmland, not deserts. Not sure where this so called chinese business woman fits in. They have no real private property, the thing sounds fake just on the face of it. In my country the communists would spread stories like this around. Men that made 10 times their quotas or did some great act, stories dedicated to the glorification of the workers meant to obscure the massive centralized waste by framing it as heroic sacrifice from the average worker in the face of unavoidable (this is the crux of the lie) hardship. Since the government is literally subsidizing this kind of work, i fail to imagine who was telling her this is a bad investment. The answer is probably no one, since its mostly made up nonsense
