I grew up in Owen Sound. My dad had a 70 Dodge Monaco. bucket seats, stick shift. Man that sucker flew. As kids we would race someone from one light to the next. One block, you'd get to the next red light and you'd see the gas gauge dropping. lol.
I had one back in 78' was a 2dr 383-2bbl 265hp automatic power steering and power brakes AM/FM power Windows and locks power seats, cruise control, factory working Dual climate control air conditioning, bright gold metallic , brown alligator vinyl top with soft green cloth.. I paid $200 dollars for it!!! Looked really nice and had 134,000 miles on it which was a lot for a cast iron block and head engine... drove it for about a year and traded in on a 1977' dodge charger se... And those were the days 💖 I also only got about 9mpg....

I love this. I took my drivers test in a 69 Newport that was two tone green with a white roof
So did I. My dads silver one in 1980

If the side of the car lifts when taking off it may have a broken motor mount. My 69 2dr Newport custom did the same thing
Inc had new one july 1971. It was soooo big just not fit good in garage. He bought car at dealer we rolledback windows down and promptly fell out.
