I have more expensive watches, but the GS is my favorite. You guys are great together. So comfortable in front of the camera.
Yesterday I had to decide: Patek Nautilus blue dial or an old Swatch Once Again in 34m with a worn out plastic strap - guess what: I took the Swatch. It simply corresponds more to my inner attitude and it just shows more exclusivity at the next dinner party in Park Avenue. Gosh, I love that Swatch ..... forget Patek, AP and Cartier - you see it everywhere
That whole Brooklyn story was an entire adventure ride and I feel like Michael can make the best out of any situation just from his wits and charms alone haha Also that GS Omiwatari is absolutely gorgeous.

The SBGY011 and SBGY009 .... same movement and idea... different dials obviously, but with 100m water resistance... I agree completely that no one works harder for your money than Grand Seiko.

Hey Christian, dummy, take the bracelet off and put it on a strap. I bought this watch for my wife and we share it on a black perlon strap. My guess is you could find about a half dozen straps in your shop that would work beautifully. Let me know if you want me to “curate” you a collection. ;-)

If you prefer the other GS, just buy it and replace the goddamn bracelet with a leather strap. I do it all the time when I buy a watch with a bracelet. What's the big deal? In fact, if you ever decide to flip the watch, the bracelet will be pristine. There's no down side.

I´m so happy I recently purchased my (now discontinued) SBGR251 instead of a 36 DJ. At 37mm with a sunburst silver dial and it´s zaratsu polished case it´s just so timeless, crisp, clean, classy yet low key it´s mindboggling.
I think I maybe the only person in the world that does not LOVE the GS. I went to an AD and tried the cherry blossom spring drive on. Nice watch, cool dial but very light (titanium I know) and flimsy. It did not feel like my Tudor or Omega, not substantial. Just did not work for me. I do like larger watches. Bought a Jaquet Droz Grande seconde instead, like new condition for much less money, crocodile strap, enamel dial, elegant finishing on hands an mini dials and I am very happy. GS is not for everyone.
What a coincidence, I watched Walter Mitty movie yesterday for the second time since it came out many years ago. That movie motivates me to leave everything behind and go into the unknown while wearing a great field watch.

Always call the police and fill out a report when in an accident, ESPECIALLY when the other driver tells you not to. You never know what that other person is hiding. They may be on a suspended license, no insurance, or even a warrant.
@@SOHCorsa So if later the driver decides to sue you, then what? Call the police have them access any injuries and document it so someone can't concoct something later on. Plus if someone is on a suspended license because of a DUI, I don't know about you but I'd want that person off the streets. It's common sense to cover your butt. If you don't take that advice that I don't know what else to say, you're an idiot.

Christian has almost identical taste in watches and style as me. Smaller classic look. No bracelet! Leather straps on all my watches.
