Beauty of Joseon is releasing a sunscreen stick !!! I’m so glad that’s so convenient, the sunscreen itself isn’t bad but it’s super thick so it would be nice to have a stick form 😊
everytime i watch this series of videos you make my wallet cry because it already knows im bouta order some more stuff😭 why do you do this to me TINA?!
i love the boj sunscreen, the only thing to watch out for is that if your skin is sensitive or irritated the boj will sting and make it more irritated. i noticed one day my skin was very sensitive, i applied the boj sunscreen and i felt a burning sensation. it has never happened before and it was only on that particular day, so it's just something to keep in mind.
My skin in extremely sensitive and BoJ sunscreen never irritate my skin, on contrary, it makes it more calm and less red and patchy. So I guess it depends.
I did notice some slight burning, however I have that with most products and the sensation vanishes quickly. What bothered me more with it was horrible pilling, although I can't guarantee it was the sunscreen really causing it, and not my moisturizer. I did however happen with 2 different ones...
I have multiple sunscreens for different purposes. However, I often buy “tone up” ones to even out my skin tone. 1. Innisfree No-Sebum sunscreen: matte finish. 2. Espoir Water Splash Cica sun cream: dewy finish 3. Glow Recipe’s Watermelon sunscreen: no tone up effect, glowy finish (I use it when I stay home with no makeup.)
I'm greasy af and the beauty of joseon sunscreen feels so nice on my skin, it just sinks right in. While I do want to try out different sunscreens once I'm done just to cover my bases and make sure that this one really is the best, but I really do see myself going back to it in the future because it really is so nice
@LoveYourselfAsMuchAsJinLovesHimself GodLovesYou I havent noticed any white cast and I don't feel like it makes my peach fuzz stand out. I have a strangely bushy mustache for a girl and it doesn't excentuate that either, if anything it makes my mustache a smidgen darker because of the wetness, but that will dry fairly quickly. It honestly just behaves like a nice moisturizer imo
I agree. I have super oily skin, the kind where you can fry eggs on in the morning after waking up. And also regular blotting throughout the day. BOJ has worked great for me like no other I’ve tried. I feel it really helps with controlling overproduction of oil throughout the day.
[Oily forehead, dry/dehydrated cheeks and nose] Isntree left a layer on my skin that I didn't like, so much so that I'm using it up on my body. I love Scinic's Enjoy Super Mild Sun Essence, it has a light texture and is cheaper than Isntree, BOJ, etc. The only drawback (for me) is it's dewy at first, although it does settle into the skin after about 15 minutes. It doesn't trigger my rosacea either - that's Holy Grail status for me!!!
@@endorphin180 It's fine on my oily forehead, I also have acne prone skin and it doesn't cause breakouts, so I'd say yes. I get it from Stylevana, it's the cheapest place I've found it.
As a certified greasy forehead girl, I really appreciate the lightweight sunscreen suggestions! Just ordered the Verdio and the Kiss Me Mommy one to try out, excited to try them out :D
@@surreal1st_ yes :) I’ve been trying them out for the past couple of days and I can say they’re both the best and most lightweight sunscreens I’ve ever tried. Neither of them make me greasy and they absorb so fast. I also have darker skin and it leaves no white cast! I will say the kiss me mommy sunscreen is more moisturizing/hydrating but I have really enjoyed both.
@@endorphin180 no oily shine to the sunscreen but it does have a natural dewy or glowy finish after it’s fully absorbed. I also have oily skin myself so I do need to blot or powder later in the day but that applies to me regardless of sunscreen. No tone up, but when the Verdio one first goes on it kinda looks white cast-y but it quickly goes away once you blend it in. For reference I have dark type 4 to light type 5 skin tone on the Fitzpatrick skin types.
I have oily skin and the beauty of joseon sunscreen is amazing for my skin! Even after 8hours of work, my skin look healthy, hydrated and not greasy at all. But I want to give a try to Round Lab
@@abcd-gl7ur hi! I buy mine from Yesstyle and the full name is Beauty of Joseon Relief Sun Screen But it does have a white cast. Not fully white but it has a blueish tint on darker skin tones. So be aware of the cast! Even on me who is quite pale I can see a slight cast
My favourite all time sunscreen has to be the Canmake Mermaid Skin Gel UV SPF in Clear. ZERO irritation, fragrance and whitecast! Only problem is the tube is tiny at 40g so it finishes so quick 😭
I've had the boj for a while, but only recently started using it more often (like everyday) and my skin has also recently started acting up and been getting a lot of bumps, after what you said I'm starting to think that it's the rice in the boj sunscreen that's making my skin get bumps ( = texture ) idk yet I'll try to stop using for a while, especially since it's not my fave, considering I have oily skin and live in a humid country (bought it without proper research after it blowing up on tiktok) Idk what this ramble/comment was for just wanted to share hehe... I mean idk yet but thank you to this video and in general ty tina, I literally love your videos and am now broke.... lol
THANK YOU for including the Wishtrend creamy winter sunscreen!! My go-to super rich moisturizing sunscreen (COOLA Mineral Sun Silk Moisturizer) just got discontinued and I'm on the hunt for a replacement! Even in summer, my dry skin in AC all day needs a RICH CREAM. Basically out here looking for a night cream with SPF lol.
Which tone up sunscreen do you recommend to use on its own? I don’t like makeup and usually will just wear sunscreen and off I go. I am currently using Biore UV Bright Milk. Just wondering is there one that can help tone up, cover pores and is moisturising at the same time? As I age, pores and hyperpigmentation are getting more obvious 😢
The klairs sunscreen is sooo good(thank you Tina's Treats)! Will definitely repurchase it when I empty my BoJ sunscreen 💖 And thank you for always including j-beauty products as well 💕
I have combination skin, and I have tried abib quick sunstick, round lab and beauty of Joseon. I have to say the best would be roundlab! It doesn’t leave any sticky feeling or oiliness,I feel like I’m using a moisturizer. Second best would be BOJ, I have to use a little though cause if I use too much it leave my face feeling soooo oily. And lastly, ABIB from my experience, would be suitable only during the winter and not summer or else you will look so oily and messy😢
I did buy the Klairs (because I love KLAIRS - the brand) sunscreen (the new version), and I have more oily, combination and really sensitive skin... But.... It is really heavy for my skin. I wanted to use it in the winter, and it is okay, but a little bit heavy in winter, too. So for my skin, it is better the Neogen airy sunscreen, which is OMG, the BEST sunscreen, I have ever tried. 😍 PS: in the meantime, the klairs sunscreen stings my eyes after aprox. 1 hour of aplication....😑🙄
I agree. I really like the formula, but it does go on a bit heavy. Too heavy for summer, IMO. For me, the perfect texture is the Goodal Houttuynia Cordata Calming Moisture Sun Cream.
I also love the Shiseido anessa and their own lines sunscreen they are slightly pricey however I think the quality is unmatched !! Their BB+ creams are also one of the best I love Japanese BB creams they’re so amazing and have many skin shades available compared to Korean ones…
I have never tried any Asian sunscreens but now want to get the Beauty of Joseon or ByWishtrend. I am still going through 5 bottles of my current ones so these will be added to my “skincare I need to try” list. It is so large since discovering your channel. Hi! For sunscreens that claim that can be used as primer, do you apply another primer after that? Haha. For example the d’alba one, do you typically just sunscreen->makeup or sunscreen -> primer -> makeup
thank you for this amazing detailed review. my skin is normal but tends to be dry too so i'm definetly considering switching to some of your mentions, my question to you is regarding the sun sticks, how often do we need to reaply if the sun stick is mineral? and based on your use, how much does a sun stick last, let's say in months?

hey i wanted to ask u abt the fragrance in goodals tangerine vitamin c? is it a heavy fragrance or?or is terribly bad with essential oils? cuz ik some essential oils r worse than synthetic fragrances
is it just me who found that the round lab sunscreen literally makes your skin a shade lighter? i know some korean sunscreens have "brightening" effects but the roundlab sunscreen was never marketed as one of those so it was very jarring for me to see my face a whole shade whiter when i applied it at first(i do use proper skin prep with moisturizer and stuffs). i got it because i wondered why it was rated as korea's best sunscreen, but after seeing the huge whitening effect i kinda figured this might be why. it does feel nice like a thick moisturizer but ive tried other sunscreens with a nicer texture that were more moisturizing. but i dont think it's a bad sunscreen perse. it's definitely a solid sunscreen and i get why other people like it. i guess either i got a weird product or it's just not the sunscreen for me.
I have yet to find a better sunscreen than the Kose UV Perfect Gel Super Water Proof which I see on the shelf behind you! My second favorite is the Verdio 220g UV Moisture Gel sunscreen you mention in this video!
Thank you so much, I look forward to watching your videos. I have tried and loved many of your suggestions. I have dry skin too, and it's currently winter in the U.S.
Same skin type as me, except I’m a combo mix! I’ve been searching for a good sunscreen and decided to order the Verdio sunscreen, the Isntree airy sun stick, and the Kiss Me Mommy sunscreen (since I mainly work indoors) to see how they work for me. I was interested in the the gel/lightweight texture, I’ll let you know how it goes once they get to me and I can try them out!
Many reviews say that the new dear Klairs All-day Airy Suncreen peels off after 30 mins of applying, so has anyone experience this? I quite enjoy the old version, so reading this makes me confused whether I should purchase the new version.
Waiiiit, the verdio is fully chemical sunscreen!? I always thought it was a hybrid sunscreen, thanks Tina! Will check it out since I looove their old version, omg it was so good and very affordable too!
i expose to direct sun light only between 9 -10 in morning. i using spf 20 for face and spf 30 for body. should i want to reapply suncreen every 2 hours ? i use aloe shoothing gel as day cream
I'm a really really oily girl and I tried 3 of these sunscreens so maybe my experience with them can help Beauty of Joseon: Sadly this did not work for me. It stays very glowy and kind of tacky on my skin and gives it a very oily look. It makes me sad because I was really excited The Isntree one is a bit better. It leaves a glowy look but doesn't feel tacky. I like to use it as my Spf on days where my skin feels dehydrated. Not my favorite under makeup though The Round Lab one is pretty much my favorite. It goes on similar to the BOJ and Isntree but I feel like it dries down/ sinks in better. It takes about 10 minutes and then it is a natural glowy finish that doesn't feel tacky or sticky on the skin. My current go to on no makeup days. I haven't tested it enough with makeup yet Disclaimer: I wear these SPFs without an extra moisturizer underneath. I cleanse my skin, apply toner and maybe a serum and then go in wit the SPF. This works the best for my skin
I'm suprised that rice could be irritating to some people. Same with centella. But I guess anything could cause irritation. I just bought Skin1004 centella serum, have been using it for a week and I feel like it is irritating to my skin.. is it even possible?! 😭😂
Where did you order from? I am tempted to order from Stylevana but I have come across negative reviews regarding customer service and shipping. Apparently your order can have two statuses with Stylevana; “Not Shipped” = In Stock or “Not Fulfilled” = generally means there is some kind of stock delay. I used Reddit to hear what people were saying about these sites, I found it helpful but also made me more skeptical about ordering 😅 Now I am in a pickle!
@@Briimariexx_ i ordered at Joseon’s website. I ordered something else from Sylvanna and the same problem. No items received from both companies until now.
Hey i heard somewhere about two finger rule of sunscreen and should i use this rule with this sunscreen because sunscreen is pricey and two finger rule of sunscreen is like how can i afford that 😂
Umm… the word ‘Whitening’ on my Tocobo sun stick box packaging said ‘Whiteninig’. Probs a typo😂 But does anyone have the box and able to check it for me
Are there any chemical sunscreens that aren't terrible for the environment? I've been trying so many physical sunscreens and they all feel and look terrible, even highly recommended Korean ones :(
This has been proven false! Lab Muffin Beauty Science has some videos about sunscreen myths and about reef safe sunscreen. I recommend watching it, I also thought the same about chemical sunscreens. Thankfully they aren’t bad for the environment and I can use sunscreen that actually works with my darker skin!

I'm suprised that rice could be irritating to some people. Same with centella. But I guess anything could cause irritation. I just bought Skin1004 centella serum, have been using it for a week and I feel like it is irritating to my skin.. is it even possible?! 😭😂
Centella - me too!
I also asked the same question
I ordered the Joseon sunscreen for a month now and have not receive the product. I email them and no decency in replying to my inquiry😡
I love the BOJ sunscreen!! I have gone through 4 rubes. I also love the wishtrend one. The one with the red cap is my go to at the moment
LRP actually developed a sunscreen line dedicated for the Asian market.
There are many negative comments with stylevana, people who have not received their order for months
Have you tried any of the other sites?
Thank you very much for such a great explanations❤❤❤
Now I'm confident about what I will buy soon😅😁

Umm… the word ‘Whitening’ on my Tocobo sun stick box packaging said ‘Whiteninig’. Probs a typo😂 But does anyone have the box and able to check it for me
I’ve been using purito daily sunscreen and it gives a nice glow I’ll try BOJ next ❤
so nobody has problem with boj? it literally burned my skin😭
Are there any chemical sunscreens that aren't terrible for the environment? I've been trying so many physical sunscreens and they all feel and look terrible, even highly recommended Korean ones :(
Try Undefined r&r sun serum. It's physical sunscreen. with a slight tint. It's also vegan.
supergoop sunscreen is chemical and vegan
This has been proven false! Lab Muffin Beauty Science has some videos about sunscreen myths and about reef safe sunscreen. I recommend watching it, I also thought the same about chemical sunscreens. Thankfully they aren’t bad for the environment and I can use sunscreen that actually works with my darker skin!
@@gabyiskewl7678 omg! this is a game changer. Thank you ^_^
The omi verdio pills everytime for me :( does it pill for anyone else??

@@emilya5209 I still have been using it, just can’t rub it in completely but it eventually soaks in! Hopefully they change it though 😭
Beauty of J had a really stong smell. Then it made my eyes sting and my face dry.
No the wishtrend is so thick and heavy. I did not like it at all. I have acne-prone, dehydrated, sensitive skin.
Thanks for sharing😘
