I don't know whether you know this, Railways give preference to women passengers opting for a coupe (provided there's no VIP movement on that train, that day).. on all probabilities, your chance of getting a coupe almost stands confirmed...

hi can you tell me how what to do in case we have to catch a train from another city. Like we are at Lucknow but there is no availability of 1st class during the dates we want to travel. hence, we will go to New Delhi and then board a train from New Delhi to our destination. In that case how do we drop the application prior for coupe allotment before 72 hrs.
please read and note this very carefully - 1. if you are travelling alone, book a coupe and you are permitted to carry only one dog 2. If you have two dogs, the option is - tag along someone to accompany you throughout the journey, tickets would be booked for two individuals (in a single pnr) and you are eligible to carry two dogs (again, opt for nothing else other than a coupe while booking) 3. if you have two dogs but no one to accompany you - book two tickets, both in your name (either in the same PNR or two different PNRs), opt for coupe and travel without any hassle. 4. More than two dogs and have a second person to accompany you - book one single ticket with your name twice and your travelling partner's name twice and opt for a cabin and not a coupe 5. Are two dogs allowed? When I enquired them they said per PNR they’ll allow one dog only. I too have 2 dogs.
