I think he will. He has nothing left to give, no way to continue making massive sums of money, and anyone who helps get him in jail can score big political points. Corrupt sociopaths will turn on each other the moment they stop being useful, and the only things keeping him free now are the Bahamian government and his willingness to give the prosecution big piles of ammo in a desperate attempt to win in the court of public opinion.

It s a shiny metal and can be used to create computer chips and jewelry… great … what is the inherent value of btc ?!? It s the trusted network not controlled by any one entity like SBF or HSBC , so you can feel safe that no one is messing with the books …. You might not find this value proposition valuable to you personally, hence there is no such thing as internet value .. there is subjective value … which is basically the debate between kensyan school of economics and the Austrian school of economics….. the failure of FTX only proves the original mission of BTC , don t trust , verify … people get scammed because of greed not because of blockchains

SBF says he was not spending any time concentrating on accounting for the money coming in. OK, fine. So that means he spent 100% of his time concentrating on the money going out of the business. Right? No? So, according to SBF, he didn't spend any time on anything at his company. Right.

The genius of SBF is that he created such a convoluted scheme, it is impossible for the average jury to understand what happened. The jury instructions appeared to be internally contradictory in several places. Unable to use reasoning, the jury determined SBF sounded sympathetic and they let him go. SBF complained all he had was $100K in his bank account. But no matter how much money he withdrew from his bank account, it always had $100K in it.

I think most juries can understand that commingling is stealing and that you go to jail for stealing, whether $8,000 or $8,000,000,000. I think you still go to jail for stealing. I'm a registered taxpayer. If I'm on the jury, he's going to jail.

Why run sha-256 twice and look for leading zeros? Even without improving bitcoin you can parametrize different bit lengths, constants, hash functions etc to make more ”different” coins than there are atoms in the universe. There is no centralized anything to prevent this.
Better ”coins” will also be invented and any popular coin will eventually asymptotically approach zero.
