- Somewhere in Slovenia at 6 a.m. I wanted to fly to a mountain to film the sunrise. Was that a good idea?!Definitely an entertaining flight.
After the connection was lost, the DVR was no longer recorded by the DJI Integra, I would have had to restart the recording manually, but I think you understand why I can no longer do that.
That was definitely the craziest flight I've ever done and I've already mentally said goodbye to the quad because I wouldn't have had the time to look for it. The terrain was completely unknown to me and, as you can see, had probably only been entered by a few people.

Oh my gosh! So happy you got the LR40 back safely and GPS rescue kept you in the sky heading home. I think I’d cry if I lost mine. Stunningly beautiful video with the fog over the hills at sunrise. Were you able to understand the why you had the video signal loss? I noticed you also had a momentary failsafe on the control link too. Are you using ELRS 2.4GHz? Thanks for sharing your videos and safe travels.
Hello Mark, I think that I misjudged the altitude because of the fog. There were probably trees between me and the quad or the fog was just a nuisance. I use elrs 2.4 and never have any problems with reception with the Turn LR 40. Internally, I had almost given up on the quad after the goggles didn't show any image for a minute. GPS rescue also only climbed to my maximum altitude and that naturally drained the battery. Best regards and many thanks 😊

Another tip: for long range, you can set up climb 3-5m and then go back, I saw your flight go up around 10-20s. More risky
@@Andrew_Dai Absolutely right, but I don't just fly the quad in mountainous terrain and often only fly it with a lipo battery in light freestyle. I'm too lazy to adjust the configuration every time. That's why I didn't change the battery warning to li-ion batteries. Best regards and always have a good flight 🫡

Do you know why the GPS reception wasn't great with only 5-8 satellites?

@@ermanpehlivan2335 Hey, in principle I would have gone for 3.2 volts, but I knew that the goal could no longer be achieved with that either. If I have a headwind or am high enough with the quad, I turn around at the latest when the battery is half empty. However, neither of these things happened and I was worried that I would not have enough remaining capacity for an emergency maneuver. And that is exactly what happened, i.e. the emergency maneuver At least everything worked out 😅🫡. Best regards and many thanks
Is a li-on battery you can lower it down to 2.8v....3.4v is more than enough juice to come back.. Lipos can be taken down to 3.5v
@@guatemalaminiactualy lipos can be flown down to 3,3v but after that you definitively crash

very impressive rescue! I have a Tern with O3 which is my favorite drone, but so far I have not worked out the settings in betaflight 4.5 that trigger/enable rescue either by a switch or by failsafe. Would you post your GPS rescue relevant settings for Betaflight 4.5?

Wow...was ein geiler Spot und vor allem hammer moment!!! ...und verdammt...ich kenne den moment...sowie das bild stehen bleibt ist der schlüppa leicht braun!!! 😅 hab schon 2 flywoo explorer verloren...und keine wechsel schlüppa dabei...wäre wahrscheinlich eine sinnvolle Ergänzung im FPV Rucksack!!! 😂

Sehr schöner Flug! Hattest du rescue auf werkseinstellug? Wie ging 13:14 es deinem Akku nach dem flug hoffe es war ein li ion, der steckt das besser weg als ein lipo

Wow what a flight! What battery did you use? You already drained 1.100 mAh when you deceived to fly back 🙈🙈🙈 and then GPS rescue which did a huge raise in height 🪫.

@@BigKahunaFPVah nice. I was thinking about 1.500 mah standard FPV LiPos 😂🙈 maybe I should spot weld some 18650 VTC6 together. Still have some laying around to rebuild a power drill akkupack.
@@MatzeMaulwurf You can do that, but I don't trust myself to solder batteries. But I have 4s 1400mAh LiPo batteries and wanted to test them when I got the chance. I just always forget 😅!! Best regards
