This is my new favorite tool in my garage.
Is there a way to level this gauge in the camber direction (possibly digitally) to account for non-level floor?
How about a video on how to use the bubble (non electronic) version of this gauge?
how would one adjust rear caster then ? if you cant turn the wheel
caster has to do with the ball joints and steering, unless your vehicle has rear wheel steering, there is no caster in the rear.
So what is asphalt street stock fast caster setting. On RF&LF ??
How do you read positive or negative?
He forgot to zero the tool on the floor. I assume that's a major part of this..
Would you zero the tool to the car?
That's right. The guy did not measure camber correctly. You are supposed to zero the gauge at a known 90° vertical surface, then put the gauge on the hub are brake disc. The degree measurement then with tell you whether you have positive or negative camber.
so would that mean that I would have to adjust the camber 2 degrees to the positive side?
Camber and caster angles do not need to be measured the same or synonymous with each other. The number recorded for caster is separate from the potential camber or toe you'd set.
