Hmmm, really not keen on this at all. Classic Prime 1 corporate, mission statement 'leave no surface untextured', It's ridiculous, not every surface should be heavily textured. To top It off they do absolutely nothing with the belt! Nobody's skin looks like that, It's like sandpaper meets a lizards arse 8-) The portraits look like a cross between Ash, Buzz Lightyear & Morrissey. The suit looks knitted and the cloak looks like an old curtain meets anaglypta wallpaper! This piece has absolutely no redeeming features whatsoever, massive miss!

He’s epic, so boss. Love the heat vision ready eyes, that’s his best look for sure. Hey, you should really have a special storage cabinet for all your switch outs. I hate placing mine on their boxes. Part of the fun is to ocassionaly change the look of the statues. But that’s just me. He’s huge for sure. Awesome Supes!

Had this on PO for quite some time, and I really like how it turned out.. It's not perfect by any means, but it will look amazing next to the P1 DKR Bats or DK3 Bats... I really wish they had given the base some more love, it's really -really- plain and boring.. When they give the base so little love, why make it so hella huge!?

This is actually a really good sculpt. But this is definitely from the dark knight returns. DK3 was drawn by Andy Kubert which is definitely not Frank Millers design. Also what song is this? So dope!
Good vid man, always a great unboxing... This Superman is definitely the 80s DKR Kal-El, but this really goes to show how dated and old looking Superman can look. This is not a good look for him.
A great sculpt of Superman from Dark Knight Returns, but the hair is terrible and the base makes no sense...why would you have an intricately detailed/sculpted S emblem that isn't visible from the front?
Although I do enjoy these statue unboxing videos, I'll never be a statue purchasing guy. For one thing I live in a 2 bedroom apt. & just don't have the room. Another is it would be money taken away from comic purchases. I'm spending quite a big enough chunk of my personal wealth on that alone. Still, this is a very cool statue. If I were to get a statue it would definitely be a Superman statue. or maybe Howard the Duck.
Couple things. The Superman symbol on the cape. Is it attached? Or is it actually sculpted in the cape? I think it should have been little bigger so the folds don’t swallow it up. And the base is very plain. Very nice, but plain. With all the detail in that 1/3 scale beautiful piece, a little more love for the base would have been nice. But, who am i to judge. The artist should be commended like all the other artists. These statues keep getting more and more realistic. That left hand looked so real, i am amazed. Great display and great times. Thanks GEM.
It's Superman from DKR not the master race book. The kryptonite arrow is fired by Oliver Queen. Cuz in DKR it's alluded that superman ripped off Green Arrow arm. The president at the time said no superheroes but Superman end up working for the president. Diana went back to her people and batman retired. Yes it is an awesome statue.The tank is supposed to be the batmobile. If you ever get chance what's the animated films on 2 separate disc's

Not a fan of the portraits but I do like the heat vision effect on that one portrait. Like the textures and the deep red used. The cape looks a winner and definitely looks better then my Iron Studios 1/3rd Superman cape. Supes himself looks a little too stocky though and what's with that base? I assume it must have something to do with the DK stories. A tank base for Supes makes no sense. It looks like the base didn't need to be this big and blocky. Those elvis fringes just look ridiculous. Supes has a curly cue, not a a elvis fringe. Those textures really do pop on the suit. Overall, not a statue for me but it has some redeeming points. Prime 1's Hush Supes and Iron Studios Supes is still way better.
Love the costume texture and always appreciate an enraged depiction but idk. Not feeling how yoked his body is. Also hair seems a little cartoony. I liked your first superman better.
