@@nymets1104 yeah me too, I don’t get it… takes away all chances of getting back in the count. He fouls one or two off and all of a sudden he draws a walk. Bad coaching can send good teams home early
Longtime player, coach and observer. Level of play is about the same as ever. Maybe better D back in the day. But HS and college level much higher today than when I was in college in the 80’s, so I doubt these travel team kids today are worse. The West and Southwest teams look better this year. Hawaii looks pretty good.
I have no clue what LLWS you have been watching … I have watched since I was before little league at 9 years old. The level of play has drastically changed. Many more errors, ALOT less home runs, FAR less no hitters, I could go on and on. When they changed the age level not letting 13 year olds play definitely took many of the top players away. Another big cause is the fact that travel ball teams have grown by a far amount over the years. I have seen so many comments about the level of play declining and you being literally the FIRST one saying different. Go back starting from about 15-20 years ago and see how many home runs, no-hitters and how many less errors there were. The defense has suffered the least which I believe is due to coaches and camps being able to teach defensive fundamentals better. Not trying to be demeaning but look at the comments of other games as well and you will see how many people notice the decline of play over past couple decades, especially over this past decade.
@@dalekinney8726the bats were downgraded and are less powerful which is why you see less hits, less homeruns and more no hitters and weak ground balls.
Everybody mentioning travel ball taking away from the player pool...I don't get that...I ran my local NJ Little League as Pres and VP for many years back in the 2000's. The players and coaches for Little League and Travel were the same. Typically, the Travel team was basically an All-Star Little League team.
yeah up here in New england the kids play both. My son plays travel ball and little league at the same time. for us, travel ball games are only on weekends and practice during week. Little league majors division in my town only plays games during the week to not conflict with that schedule because 99% of the good players are on travel teams. Travel ball season ends the week before all stars will start.
These kids should be watched because they're kids... kids who are doing their best. They have nothing to do with the loser politicians of New York and New Jersey, or the loser voters who keep voting the loser politicians into office. They're just kids playing baseball.
Kids these days are being raised soft af and have no drive, as well as all the food these days promote low testosterone and high estrogen, sad world it’s becoming
Hate to break it to you but international only play the US like twice in the 3rd place game and Chip game😂 and I’ve been going to the llws for years talent level on both sides have gone down
You should see the size of the kids that were playing before they changed the age rule here a few years ago. They allowed 13 year olds long as they did not turn 13 until a certain date. Some of the 13 year olds that were playing were 6 foot to 6”2 maybe even taller and weighed well over 200 at times. Was quite unfair at times to be honest. I think the kids look smaller and less well rounded as ball players as a whole for sure. I watch EVERY year I enjoy it so much, even with the level of play decking with each passing year. The age change and rise of travel ball teams have taken many great player off of these teams unfortunately.
I wouldn't say wrong, I played travel ball 24 years ago. Little league was good then... technology my friend. I see it in sports, jobs etc. This country is fucked.

Coach Laturza of Staten Island waited 32 years for this. Ya love to see it. Hats off to Morristown too!

Another year and another Thank you to Mr. Wheels for all your hard work. Much appreciated.
If you tell your kid to bunt on an 0-2 count, you deserve to lose…
and with the bases loaded????
Sad, no faith in the poor kid.
@@jalynhelms7458 I just watched the game before this one and he had the kid bunt with 2 strikes there as well. Struck out then took. Wtf

The hat falling off the pitcher every pitch would drive me nuts as a coach..
I know, it's literally every pitcher I've seen. Must be a new baseball trend, seen it a lot in college too.
Watching some highlights i like this NY team.
Heartbreaking game for both teams; hopefully they can clean it up before Williamsport because they've in for some serious competition.

Before any announcers are hired for these events, they should know the game. None seem to understand what a "Foul Tip" is.

they lost?
Because they have to swing a bat, throw and catch a ball and run. WITHOUT using a, button, toggle or visor!
