I'm married 51 years, since age 24 & was fortunate to have me & my wife in good
physical condition until late 2019, when my wife needed open heart surgery while
on a Caribbean cruise! She's better now, but can't travel,(partly because of Co-Vid
restrictions)so I guess the "In sickness & health" part of marriage has kicked in!

they were soulmates. A very classy couple. completely the opposite of Elvis & pricilly's marriage. AM & RS marriage worked because he let her know he was interested in her as his life partner. the rest is a love story.
She doesn't deserve to constantly have Elvis brought up. She's said many times in multiple interviews over the years, how comfortable it makes her. Just because you work hard and acquire game, doesn't take away the right of respect! It's totally free to be humble and kind....

And I adored red-headed Ann Margaret who was my favorite actress/entertainer.
I remember her FALL & nobody could believe she was back in 10 weeks---as beautiful as ever!
Stayed informed of their marriage
thru the yrs---esp as time progressed & Roger's health got worse.
A real loving couple thru all those yrs! Like the old fashioned actirs/actresses before HOLLYWEIRD became liberal political sewer of ignorance/activism/illegal immigration/drugs/virtue signaling.....& terrible movies.

Hey! I recognize the female as Ann Marg-rock from the Flintstones AND the guy Yoda without his makeup. So cool. Back in the 60s, you could drive Sunset Blvd and see what they used for 77 Sunset strip TV series. Of course, it wasn't (or was it) what they used for the filming location...but it was neat to see.

No one stays married 50 years unless they love and respect each other. I find it odd that a 21 year old man would move a 14 year old into his home, even worse that her parents agreed. He wanted a child to mould into what he saw as the perfect little stay at home wife. Meanwhile he was having affairs with co stars. Ann had the better bargain.

She seem to have been, despite all appearances, a very shy person. I saw her on local Texas television in 1960, when she was about twenty, and for what it is worth seemed to be a younger woman trying to act older, just a wee bit nervous. Always an admirer, though. very dynamic performer.

She did date Rodger on a rebound.. She did want to marry Elvis but she knew about Priscilla too. Both Elvis and Ann were in love with each other even Elvis's guys said so. And Elvis Father.
However, Ann new Rodger would take care of her. She became very dependent on him and did have a great trust in him and yes I believe they loved each other. They were both loyal to each other and cared for one another a great deal. But I also know that Elvis And Ann were true soul mates. There paths just took turnes.. But they remained dear close friends till Elvis death.
Rodger and Elvis liked each other also.
Ann till this day has a special Love for Elvis she said so herself.
She was heartbroken when Elvis died and wept like no other except for Vernan and Lisa. Ann and Vernan talked and held each other at the funeral.

Ann margret only married roger smith as a rebound. she got hurt that elvis married priscilla... I dont know what elvis told ann margret but eventually he had no intention of marrying her. he told family and friends that priscilla was the one who he was going to marry. ann margret believed his lies... she went to the premire after the filming was done for viva las vegas while elvis went back home to priscilla they asked her if it were true she was engaged with elvis she said yes when word got back to elvis he was infuriated and she try to tell him they took it the wrong way but elvis was not having any of it he stopped talking to her she asked his friends what happened to elvis and they said you know that's elvis... she send elvis a telegram to graceland where priscilla saw it, tore it to pieces and flushed it down the toilet... when elvis saw what she did he laughed!! he thought it was funny and cute!! 2 yrs later elvis and priscilla get married and have a beautiful baby girl lisa marie presley... roger smith left his pregnant wife and two kids for ann margret so yes she is a homewrecker in that situation she not as innocent as people think she is. she only got famous after the movie viva las vegas also she could have no kids she was barren.

サンセット77と言う探偵物のアメリカ映画が始まり、夢中になりました。日曜日のゴールデンタイムで、このロジャースミスは、女好きの役柄多く、よくラブシーンなんかがあり、小さい私はにでも恥ずかしかったけど、こっそり見ていたものでした。大人の世界を垣間見た様な気がしてドキドキしながら楽しみに見ていたのを思い出されました。

Sandra, I agree re Elvis - if Ann Margret and Elvis had got married it would have been a far different story but c'est la vie. I enjoyed Roger Moore re James Bond and his other movies. I was unaware of his debilitating health issues. Just shows you how loyal she was and had a very admirable character for sure!!

And I believe she would have done the same with Elvis, Obviously they still Loved each other even after Elvis married Priscilla because they continued to see each other in Vegas and kept in touch till his death.. He was so proud of Ann.. He loved her as his woman... He loved Priscilla as his little girl, she would behave just the way he wanted her to. Is it possible to love two woman? Probably, but in different ways. He had to choose as he said. He promised Priscilla's family and they could have made trouble for him if he didn't marry her. Ann was a successful actress. He would not have liked sharing her with others. Priscilla liked to stay at home,this felt safer for Elvis But he stayed in touch with Ann. Still he continued to have affairs with other woman... Another sad Fame and Hollywood Story. In their prime both Elvis and Ann were great intertainers.
