Fools you only adapted to the cheesoid, I was born with the knowledge of both cheese and petrol! But for real though the podcast just reminded me of this excellent scene.
When I'm bored at work by myself, I sometimes find myself talking like Cheesoid. LOST LOST CANNOT SEE CAN ONLY SMELL. I also like the sheepish way it says "petril" when David discovers the car.
This is one of the most genius displays of off beat comedy I've ever seen. It's smart and dumb at the same time. The man basically invented A.I. doesn't know it, but the only thing that matters is that it can't smell... and neither can HE 😂 judging a fish by its ability to fly.
Ever since I saw this, I now refer to cheese as "Petril" and petrol as "Cheese". It's mighty fun whenever I ask if anyone wants a ham and petril sandwich, or if I tell people I'm about to fill my car with cheese.
[when you find a comment from 14 years ago quoting the skit and feel like you ought to modify it] "Holy fuck" "Holy fucking fuck" "That cheese of yours is absurd"
To other Daddy fans: Anthony is right: this is a bad sketch. But this is far from M&W's best work. They're brilliant. Give them a chance. I can't recommend That Mitchell and Webb Look and Peep Show enough.
Aww, poor little Cheesoid - I want to give it a home! The best line, though, is "I'm sorry, Chris - nobody farted", which is in the first half of the sketch (along with the "I smell" line). lol
@lordprotector3367 Dungeons and Daddies is a comedy real play podcast, they play Dungeons and Dragons and the plot of the first campaign is each player's character is a father and they're trying to rescue thier kids after they are all transported to a very homebrewed version of The forgotten realms from D&D
@S0harix In the parts of this bit that aren't shown here, David's character was shown to be a chef at a soup restaurant who lost his sense of smell, which is why he built a sniffing robot. The funny part when he gets out of bed is the soup can on his t-shirt, reminding you, the viewer, that he, the character, REALLY loves soup.
the cheesoid is a cute little cheese covered emo robot, so kewl, and sooooo funny! love this video so much, watched it so many times and i still laugh when i see it, part robot, part cheese, part dalek, part petril, lol, what a dude
@S0harix Well, the setup to this was that he was a soup chef who lost his sense of smell (he was a robotics engineer before that, so he decides to build cheesoid to smell for him). The soup shirt is what the laugh is about.
@S0harix its probably because of his Warhol soup tshirt, a reference to the preceding sketch in which he is a talented soup chef. He got punched in the nose while being mugged, lost his sense of smell and can no longer make soup - its why he invented Cheesoid, to smell for him.
Thanks Dungeons and Daddies
I came here after listening to the podcast for the second time
Saaaaaaame. Oh my gosh. 🤣🤣🤣
LMAO that’s the reason I’m here too
Just got here for that reason 😁
Fools you only adapted to the cheesoid, I was born with the knowledge of both cheese and petrol!

Everybody: Hole Diggers
Me: Dungeons and Daddies -not- a BDSM Podcast
Anthony Torres sometimes a bdsm podcast
Fellow Daddylover
Amen brother
Gotta admit I kinda side with Anthony on this one
Anthony Torres-Cruz D4 psychic damage
literally how did the dads find this?? beth is not alone
Probably by watching a pretty well liked british comedy tv show.
He just made a completely sentient robot that can question it's own existence... And he fucked up the smelling apparatus! Brilliant...
its*

nice reference!
Somehow this became extremely topical. 😂😂
Cheesoid is amazing,
such a great character, so funny yet so tragic. I felt it's pain. Cheesoid deserves its own series.
Yeah the story writes itself.
So funny, but heartbreaking at the same time. I want to laugh and cry...
For some reason "primula status . . . in tube" Always gets me.
Then Cheesoid went on to become a Dalek.
Nobody will recognize the Boards of Canada music if it's really quiet
DaeOh amazing track
Looking for my fellow dungeons & daddies squad. #notabdsmpodcast
Meeeee
Am I the only one here because I had to figure out what they were talking about in the dungeons and daddies podcast?
Same, dude from 3 years ago
@@thed4rkhu7erwhoa. Just searched for it myself. 20 hours apart.

Dungeons and Daddies
I still can't fill my car up without thinking, "Petril!" Ofc here in the UK atm I can't fill my car up at all, but that's another matter.
I came here from Hole Diggers...
but holy shit David Mitchell looks so different!!
I’m with Anthony on this, I can’t understand what’s happening
CHEESE PETRIL
even if you die, it’ll be alright
That was depressing
british humor

You gotta re-edit this comment with a new meme every year. It's the only way.
@@Crawfishness Forgot about this, and I couldn't really think of one for 2022, so I hope this works 🤣
@@LazarouDaveYou need to do it again
I feel a mild twinge of sadness everytime I see this.

WHY CHEESOID EXIST
to smell petrol and cheese
I don’t get it, but maybe in 2 weeks I will
I get it
Poor Cheesoid :(
I had this brought to my attention by a mate of mine. I've not laughed so much in a long time.
Time for masters cheese.
Ah yes here I am a year later after listening to dungeons and daddies again. Good to see you cultured people again.
Love a bit of Roygbiv!
Lewis Jenkins I love a bit of Donkey Rhubarb pfp!
I think this might have been the inspiration for Rick and Morty's "butter robot."
"What is my purpose?"
"You smell petrol and cheese."
"...OH MY GOD."
"Yeah, welcome to the club, pal."
Rick and Morty?
yeah boiy
nice

Go on, Cheesoid, cover the daleks with cheese. :D
Okay the second half of this genuinely made me sad.
"Cheesoid hate self"
POOR CHEESOID!!! D:

Thanks for that explanation of the scene without the humour, for people who can read but cannot see or hear video.
Am I the only one from Hole Diggers AND Dungeons and Daddies?
the "KILL SELF KILL SELF" has done irreparable damage to my psyche, its my first thought whenever im slightly inconvenienced

@GuitarMadnessBoy No you're not the only one, I too feel empathy for cheesoid. In fact a little tear came to my eye after watching this.
This is possibly my favorite sketch of all time.
That's a good point, never thought of that!
Awesome tune - love BOC
@snorkmadien The song is Roygbiv by Boards of Canada (from the CD Music Has The Right To Children).
i want a soup t-shirt and a cheesiod.
these guys are living the dream
LMAO a the guy voicing Cheesoid cracking up at the end.
@S0harix Well, the setup to this was that he was a soup chef who lost his sense of smell (he was a robotics engineer before that, so he decides to build cheesoid to smell for him). The soup shirt is what the laugh is about.
Poor Cheesoid ☹️
The robot episodes are my favourite

A nice little hint of Roygbiv in the montage at the start.

lmao, thought this sketch was made of pure awsome. 1 flaw thought with the filming but its masked by the humour of the moment
cheesoid is awesome, cant wait for cheesoid to join Sir Digby on his adventures.
Poor cheesoid
Reaping the harvest of what you sow... a Dalek doing his revision during the night.
I love the way it says PETRILL.
:( i feel incrediby sad. poor cheezoid.
@S0harix i think its his soup shirt, the full sketch has him working at a soupery
rofl, saw this the other day was soooooo funny, PETRIL?
That is one dark laugh track.
Brilliant sketch :D Someone should make this into an iPhone app.
Also daddies brought me here lol.
Petril status: FULL.
