There are a few guys that I got to fish with over the years, that I miss fishing with, these days. Never take a day on the water, with a good friend, for granted.
This really hits home, unfortunately. I strongly agree with you. That section, of that river, produced some of my fondest memories of times with my buddy, that's no longer with us. Thanks for posting this video. 🙏
FFD, your indicator dropping was your fly catching a rock Still waiting to see you out there throwing your Spey rod on that big river😉; it's the only way to improve. ☮ from North Idaho. p.s. nice fish of all species, even if you're butt-hooking them 🙃

Very cool. The cold not . Having fun and the fish is rocking!
Caught my first steelhead this year on that river! So fun!
You got suckered😂. Having fun and enjoying the day with friends is the most important part and it is a good story.
I've never fished that zone for steelhead, nice work.
Oregon and Washington are such amazing places for fishermen!
They are indeed! Texas has some big ol bass I’d like to fish for one day :))
Those suckers always trick me! They slam the swing from time to time and I always think they are a Steelhead haha
hey friend, can you detail your leader setup? appreciate it!
Exciting video! Thanks

What's a red band? Is that like a jack? Or more like a normal trout?
A "Red Band" is a subspecies of the Rainbow Trout typically found in Eastern Oregon and Washington States.
They are awesome fish!
Were those wild horses on the hill?
They sure are, pretty cool to see them on this day
Did you catch any redsides on egg patterns?
Yes sir! Some lunkers on that fly during this past weekend
@@FlyFishDan Nice heading over there this weekend with some egg-ish patterns
Eggs have been killing it!
