As someone with a physical disability, who's moderately interested in production, I think this is RAD. I have minor use of my left hand, and the fact that i can essentially rest my hand on it, and only use my fingers makes this look adaptive and incredibly intriguing. And the songs are Awesome. i entered to win, maybe I'm lucky who knows?
your ability to - just like that - create such musically beautiful pieces here and there is stunning. 7/8 all the way. real inspirational. thanks for sticking around!
Hey Andrew, you're such an inspiration. The track you made on this one, "Hiding" is probably one of my favorite tracks ever, it just hit me right in the heart. Absolutely amazing. Hoping to hear a "full" version of it at some point, because after listening to it 20 times, I just wish there was more of it. Love it.
dude why is the cinematography on your youtube videos better than hollywood movies ... like... those 'beauty shots' at the beginning... wtf how teach me your ways
"Hiding" has to be one of the most beautiful pieces by Andrew Huang that I have heard. I love the 7/8 time signature and its so melodic, dreamy, and inspired. Almost has a synthwave vibe combined with Interstellar soundtrack but it's calmer and more emotional.
Every time I make a song with all the most powerful software and softsynths I own I think to myself, hell yeah, I'm a beast. Then you use a damn noise thing sound better than anything I've made. Damn you Andrew.
Skys Within yes but he uses the most powerful software to process and finish everything. He’s incredibly talented, don’t get me wrong, but I doubt this track would have been as good had it been produced in garage band...
On top of the amazing creative and musical feeling of all your videos, what I really enjoy on top is the amount of work and attention to detail on video production. It's incredibly well produced, beautiful, super fun, and inspirational. Well done!!! So many skills put to good use!
You absolutely need to do an episode of Weird Gear on the Red Panda Labs Tensor pedal. It's so wild and has so much depth to it, and you can make it incredibly musical as well.
man you are really a genius its actually amazing to see someone that now how to play any Musical Instruments now how to sing reallyyy good and Inspiring amazing producer and do all of this with good vibes and videos that fun to watch you are really Special man and i wishes you only keep to succeed your TH-cam channel and your craftsmanship. thank you
This test track is absolutely breathtaking. This is just one of the many testimony's to your skill in writing beautiful music with absolutely anything.
I don't even understand 99% of what comes out of your mouth but your videos are so fun to watch. Your talent leaves me speechless and your expertise is astounding as usual. Great work as always, Andrew
That is just a delicious little bit of weird gear. I kind of feel like some modulated distortions and erratic gating would create some great short glitchy sounds.
Andrew! I have a question. Would you ever be willing to delve into the wonderful world of microtonal music production, specifically with Ableton? I just found out about a vst called "Retune" by Ursine for Ableton that lets you (somewhat) easily work in equal divisions of an octave other than 12. People like Sevish are really making headway into this exciting new territory!
THE 7/8 TIMING AND THE BASS AND WOW I LOVE THE TRACK YOU MADE IT'S SO COOL I literally have never thought about using 7/8 timing in a pop song bUt IT WORKED I APPLAUD THIS
Adis Dautovic speaking from experience here, you really can polish a turd (not talking about anyone in particular). And no, he doesn't have a "beautiful" voice (doesn't mean he can't hold a tune), I think you're seriously overstating things.
The vibe I was getting from that song, that I'm just gonna call "Hiding From The Light" for now, was so... I don't even know how to describe it. It was so cool. All I can picture is like a dream-esque, distopian, neon city full of cyan lights during a rain storm.
This was a killer review. Saw the Knobs one and totally interested in this pedal, but this run through was awesome! Covered a wide range of applications and I could see uses in my flow already. Nice
Yo man, i've started watching your videos like 2 months ago, and instantly started to admire you. I'm a P-funk & R&B producer, but i really enjoy your material. Specially the weird gear section lol. Greetings from Argentina.
That 7/8 track is beautiful, and then you went straight NIN with those guitar sounds. Nice, dude.
Woah, it's Red Means Recording!
Reminds me of year zero
Totally
I feel that Andrew's cinematography is not talked about nearly enough.
I agree, it is beautiful.
Thats so true
100% agree I was just thinking about that
He is super talented in so many ways.
Agreed

GUYS WE NEED TO FUND THIS DUDE ANDREW CMON
Totally off topic but a tutorial on how you did those beauty shots would be 10/10
Yes yes definitely
i was just thinking that aha
People do not appreciate your lighting ENOUGH!
The Daft Punk Alive 2007 noise at 2:02...so good!!!
Wood.Work.LIFE. daft punk rolling and scratching
I thought the same thing!
that's exactly what I was thinking but couldn't recall the exact album/song
rollin’ and scratchin’ amirite
hell yeah
WHOAAA 7/8 time is so interesting. I really dig that track
7/4 time is fun too. Here's one of my favorite examples (Khatar by Solace) : th-cam.com/video/_Rs90qm-VqI/w-d-xo.html
CABBAGE
7/8th is traditional Bulgarian folk music :)
Hell yeah
9/8 is better
"So, basically, noise artists, this is your entire career." Omg that was hilarious
lol
Just waiting it becomes a meme
Yeah, if every noise artist wanted to sound identical.
Andrew, you manage, day in and day out, to make real ideas most of us could only dream up and immediately dismiss as outlandish. That’s amazing.
Well, I wasn’t into it until you played guitar through it. Now I need it, best fuzz ever.
From the first few seconds of the video it reminded me of the “z.vex fuzz factory probe” which is a guitar pedal.
Those guitar and Moog sounds are delicious
Yeah, I hope he makes a song with the Moog and the Stereo Field like in the end of this Video. I would listen to it all day!
Yup same here , I like my synths how i like my women thicc and dirty
But...
Moog is more better
Seymour I hope you don't mean that last part that in a sexually transmited way
Definitely not ahaha
your ability to - just like that - create such musically beautiful pieces here and there is stunning. 7/8 all the way. real inspirational. thanks for sticking around!
Put it on the floor and touch it with your toessss for guitar
Toes! Toes! Toes! Toes! Toes! Toes!

This was awesome
Very cool tessa!!
hey its you i listen you
It's weird but really cool to see a musician just act like any other person in the comment sections of an Andrew Huang video.
You said "lets do something glitchy and unpredictable" and my phone died 😂Crossing the cyberverse man!
wow! that glitchy electro-pop song is probably my favorite track of yours now!! so good!
🙌
dude why is the cinematography on your youtube videos better than hollywood movies

Andy Chamberlain Music what Hollywood movies are u watching , the ones on pornhub?
Spilled my coffee reading the above comment.... while also watching PH ... tsk tsk

All songs are awesome, your talent is impressive.
2:02 Was that a Daft Punk - Rollin' & Scratchin' reference? Love those details :D
YES. xD
I used to think I didn’t like weird music! You have expanded my musical horizons and I’m thankful to you for that bro!💖
Check out Aphex Twin and Autechre.
Yeah, Aphex Twins are definitely a must listen to for lovers of electronic music.
Squarepusher
6:27 when you accidentally do squad fill, this is who you’re paired up with
I can’t agree more
You're making it so hard for me not to get into modular synthesis and spend all my money... Lovely little experiments!
this comment made me realise that "modular synthesis" sounds like some sort of advanced science.
Go reaktor 6. It's awesome and it's cheaper and it allows blocks quite close to modular.

I really love how you melded this instrument with your musical style, I would not have anticipated it working so well, but it did!
I was so into that jam with the Moog, reminded me of Hotline Miami.
5:40 Gave me instant MuteMath vibes... Love the track you made. Slaaay.
True!
It’s weird listening to this while eating something crunchy
Put crunchy something into a glass of water, crunchnes gone.
If you´re talking about cornflakes, milk will do the job.
dannyLEE I'm not sure an apple would fit into a glass of water.
Iphones fit perfectly
Jonathan Cain. You just need to make slight adjustments like bending the phone or sawing it in half if you have a small glass.
I'm not entirely sure how people ended up thinking I was talking about iphones.
I was eating an apple.
That was what I was talking about lol.
I've watched a few of your videos now. This is one of my favorite songs that you've created. I love the feel of it.
the weird gear intro is the best intro on youtube.
100% AGREED

You simply must use headphones for this video.

Do for the music(those parts are really good). Don't for the rest. Your right ear will die.
This series just keeps getting better and better and it already started off as one of my favs.
I like both the experimental noise music and the pop track that you made. Always great to see a video upload from you
I wasn't really expecting something this chaotic to work so well in the context of a pop song. nicely done.
Loved the Rollin n' Scratchin' "remake"! I can't wait for the next WEIRD GEAR episode!
When that kick drum came in at 8:03, I could feel the hair on my head stand up ... ! Chills!
The power of techno my friend!
That first track was gorgeous wow
Mythical Beast Caspar everyone does, sorry to disappoint 😂
Mythical Beast Caspar I'm down for brutal murder, so long as I can do it to a track of Andrews 😂😂
Mythical Beast Caspar Sounds like a great plan! 😄
I feel that Andrew’s cuteness is not talked about nearly enough
The editing is almost as good as the music!

Wow dat B-Roll! Nicely done :) Thank's for getting me into electronic music.
Your cinematography gets better each time
That track was actually really impressive! Really dig it!
One of the best pieces of music I've heard you perform thus far. You should definitely give it full length love.
7:21 - Not if you put it on the floor and use it as a pedal with your toes!
Babyboodle yup
Next level moves!
the distortion guitar effect on this thing is cool, a mix of traditional overdrive and glitchy spurts of noise is so cool and unique
This whole video is satisfying space asmr
