Any update? Did he run out of the school for cover? Look closely. In the beginning, he almost appears to peek around at first as if he'd already seen a guy with a gun walking. Why did he hold the corner of the wall to look closely and not keep walking? I wonder if he'd already noticed the gunman? Was he going to the restroom?

Yous have your own life, family, kids to think off ontop of not dangering yourself and the others around you especially not knowing if the shooter has a hostage, a backup or explosives somewhere .
At the end of the day civilians shouldn't have guns.
There actual job is "Body of officers representing the civil authority of government. Police typically are responsible for maintaining public order and safety, enforcing the law, and preventing, detecting, and investigating criminal activities. These functions are known as policing. Police are often also entrusted with various licensing and regulatory activities"
so Where's the "protect and serve" law y'all keep saying ? Cause it don't say that nor does it mention anything to do with school shootings and deffo not "go in guns blazing into a primary school with an active shooter".
Like how dense do you have to be to think that's how you serve the public ?
They responded on time, had their barriers set up, had to maintain the public and family's from running in (dangering themselves and others), stop pres, make sure there's surviours, wait for back up, get the right equipment, squad up, storm in and they took care of the threat. Unless also you think as soon as that shooter pressed down on the trigger the cops were meant to be there anol ? If so you are deluded.

See what thy went through. Because they went through worse than you can imagine. That one little girls scream can just tell me everything. It is not appropriate to say that the timing of a little boy during a tragic event is a blessing. The loss of life and harm caused during a horrific event is a tragedy that cannot be minimized or justified by the timing of any individual's actions. Furthermore, it is important to recognize that this statement may come across as insensitive or inappropriate to the families and loved ones of the victims who have suffered immeasurable loss and trauma. It is important to express empathy and compassion towards those affected by such tragedies and to focus on honoring the memory of the victims rather than singling out an individual for their timing. In summary, while it is understandable that individuals may feel a range of emotions in response to a horrific event, it is not appropriate to suggest that any individual's actions during such an event are a blessing. i always thought of myself as a freezer or a runner, but in a situation reminiscent to this-in terms of mortal harm to a child-i found that all 105 pounds of me immediately turned into a marine with absolutely no coordination but all the determination in the world. it is unfathomable to me that someone (IN FULL GEAR AND HOPEFULLY TRAINED) would turn tail and run. i would rather have died in the line of fire than have to look at those kids in the eyes when their faces show up on the news.
i’m also a psychology student and i understand the fear, hesitation, etc. the bystander effect could have played a large part in this, along with literally any other psychological theory if you consider it in the right way. unfortunately, humans are intrinsically set on survival. people without impulse control deficits (which doesn’t include me apparently) probably get stuck in their head more.
right up until it got towards the end, when people were trying to rush forward but quickly fell back as shots began firing again, must’ve been snapped back to reality.
so many things could have happened here and the sad part is none of it had to happen in the first place, if this pig on two legs didn’t do this.

Also there were a large number of officers wearing ballistic vests and enough fire power to take down the gun man. I don’t think there is a valid excuse for hesitation in this case. They could have brought in S.W.A.T too and they would have acted immediately.
