Many directors already said about it in many interviews including Tamil directors. When mammootty and rajani both come in a frame the screen presence goes to mammootty always. Rare actors got such ability❤️

Thalapathi is a timeless classic. What a brilliant making and wonderful performances. Raja sir is also a pillar of this movie. And I don't think any tamil mass hero will be ready to accept this kind of a movie where hero is toned dow and made to repend for what he did. In many areas hero fails. He is very vulnerable. And hero is made to marry a widow. You can't expect or even imagine all these from such a big mass hero in tamil cinema. And sun is shown as a metaphor with reference to karna, the suryaputhra concept
