      Magda Weronika just a little touch up on each of the modules, websites you’ve used, books you advice for med school etc. Thanks so much

      Hey, so I actually already have a video like that up about the first year modules on my channel, but I will definitely do another video about second year when I've revised for them a bit more hehe :) x

    Thank you for the video Magda :) again, I must confess: as a viewer who has completed their BA and MA in a different field (Philosophy), I cannot immediately relate to the contents of the video sadly! But what I can say is the way you present the content is super clear and helpful even to someone outside the field and you’re very natural and lovely in your style! So thank you for another fun band informative video!

      I do have a question actually though! You’ve spoken previously about your desire to live in another country and work there. Do you think you’d want to do that immediately after Cambridge or do you want to do foundation years first?

    Great video! I think the degree is called MB BChir (for Cambridge) or something like that.

    thank you for explaining! What experience have you gathered before uni in order to apply for the cambridge med course? and what exactly are mocks🙈? And with these 6 years, is there kind of additional training after that (further specialisation) or which options do you have after uni?

    • @MagdaWeronika
      @MagdaWeronika  4 ปีที่แล้ว +5

      No worries! I have a series of videos on my channel about work experience and extracurriculars to do/which I did :) mocks are mock exams, so just practice exams which are done for your supervisors so they dont actually count for anything! After the 6 years you go into the foundation programme, which is training as a junior doctor, theres definitely still a long way to go after the degree but it's the same with any other med school (same foundation programme) :)

    How did you find the relative difficulty of each first year module? Thanks for the video it was really helpful!

    • @MagdaWeronika
      @MagdaWeronika  4 ปีที่แล้ว +3

      It definitely depends from person to person as I know others have very different opinions haha, but personally - sechi and isbm kinda dont count cause they're smaller, so out of the other ones I'd say physiology for me was the hardest and biochemistry was the easiest (when it came to exams though anatomy was by far the worst 😂 but that probably differs year on year)! And thanks for watching the video, I'm really glad you found it helpful!

      @@MagdaWeronika Thanks for the reply Magda, I was also wondering what you would especially recommend looking over before starting the course aside from A level content to maybe help with the step up?

  • @Ms10year

    Thank you. Does pharmacology in second year involve laboratory work? Can you choose pharmacology at third year? Do you get bachelor degress after third year (based on which subject you choose)?

    • @MagdaWeronika
      @MagdaWeronika  2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Hi, yes 2nd year pharmacology has practical lab work! And yep you can choose to do pharm in 3rd year, no matter what subject you do you'll get a BA after 3rd year (unless you choose a masters but then that's an extra year on top of that)!!

      MBChB it’s a medicine qualification basically medicine courses can be MBChB or MBBS and some people just have MB

    • @MagdaWeronika
      @MagdaWeronika  4 ปีที่แล้ว +4

      I think MBChB and MBBS are equivalent they're both bachelor of medicine and bachelor of surgery (I think ChB is just latinised) :)

    • @dreaming_of_that_mbbs_mbchb
      @dreaming_of_that_mbbs_mbchb 4 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@MagdaWeronika What's the point of taking a non-medical subject in 3rd year? Isn't it a distraction for you guys? Is it same for all medical colleges in UK like King's College, Warwick?

    • @MagdaWeronika
      @MagdaWeronika  4 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      Nope not all medical schools in the UK do it but a few do. It depends what you want to do - it's actually a good way to get some research experience if you potentially want to do research in the future as well. Also not everyone does non-medicine related subjects, a lot of the natural science courses are just furthering what we've done in the first 2 years. Some people do non-medical courses like management etc as it opens the door to a broader range of opportunities and possibilities for you in the future! But it's definitely not for everyone :)
