    This is awesome! You did such a great job explaining what Socrates meaning of this play was. Thank you, I was becoming a little frustrated but it all made sense after watching this video. :)

    There's no debate if you dismiss the notion of God(s).

    Fortunately, christians solved this problem by having only one god. No need for agreement or bickering between gods. Holiness is simply what god loves... what his consistent with his nature. William Lane Craig has this all wired. LOL!

      holiness is what god loves? so does god love it because its holy? or is it holy BECAUSE god loves it? if its holy because god loves it, we still have no real answer to why its holy. if god loves something because its already holy, then what difference does it make that god loves it. still the question remains, what makes something holy.
      did i understand everything right?

    • @stanfrymann8454
      @stanfrymann8454 8 ปีที่แล้ว

      Sauci Ha, ha...he loves it because it is consistent with his nature to love it. Why, god is the ultimate concern, so that's what difference it makes, ha,ha! Holiness is what god loves! I told you, ha,ah!

      So it's consistent with God's nature to order Israelites to kill babies! That tells me everything I need to know.

      Eratosthenes It is consistent with his nature to drown every baby, infant and child on the planet! It is consistent with his nature to personally and deliberately kill a child in each household in an entire nation, just to put political pressure on the nation's ruler. It is consistent with his nature to create evil, to create hell, to create rules under which most people wind up in hell. That's why people used to speak of "god-fearing christians" as their ideal.

      stan frymann If you consider yourself a God fearing Christian, bow to your dictator, then. Cower before him and let him erase your memories of your loved ones. I for one, will fight to my last breath for a free and open society - a society where prison has a function - to rebuild, to rehabilitate, to give another chance.
