Wow, a beautiful video Carla, you are right NE is very picturest especially in the fall, it must be a lovely place to live with all the fall colours and the gorgeous architecture! Such a pretty arrangement, thank you for sharing & happy fall… 🍁🍁
I saw on Garden answer - Laura’s mom did glycerin and preserved branches of leaves. Used boiling water with the glycerin and it really preserve the whole branch. Just stood the branches in the liquid for several days.
I would love to have some of the quail eggs. I would save them for a cloche. I stored a wreath once not knowing it had nest with eggs in it. After months it had mummified, I guess. Years old and still beautiful!! Seems like you should be able to preserve entire limbs the same as leaves. I enjoy your calm and beautiful videos.
Hi Carla, such a great project! Your arrangements look so pretty and Autumnal. Looking forward to hearing more about you possibly having quails. Have a wonderful week x
The glycerin technique is new to me, so thanks for demonstrating! They turned out lovely for your decorating. Great idea! When I was a kid, I pressed leaves and flowers between wax paper, like you mentioned. Don't know a thing about raising Quail, but their eggs are so darn cute! My daughter and son-in-law have had 6 chickens for a couple years now so I have a steady supply of super fresh eggs....dark brown, light brown, and light blue from their different hens. :)
What a gorgeous arrangement you made with the leaves and flowers! I will be curious to know how long they last, because if there is one thing that I am surrounded by, it is leaves, LOL! Have a wonderful weekend. 🧡🤎💛
You might want to watch the video that Floer Hill Farm just posted titled maybe no for me. All about raising quail. Very interesting. You might just want to stick with what you know if chickens. Either way good luck
Carla, thank you for another enjoyable video. You have great ideas, and you offered me 12:54 minutes today of escape from the city to appreciate the New England experience. What a beautiful arrangement of autumn leaves. I "gasped" when I saw you dip your engagement ring into the glycerin solution. Laugh-out-loud. Anyway, I am sure it survived. The landscapes and music selections are the best, not to mention your beautiful home. Looking forward to next week's project and adventure. Have a happy Sunday and a good week ahead. God bless, Robert.
@@mynewenglandstory Thank you, Carla. I am impressed that you respond to every comment. It speaks volumes about your caring and thoughtful nature. Robert
