- We discuss the Jed Wyatt ex-girlfriend controversy (her name is Haley Stevens and she's an aspiring musician - so how much does this play into the narrative?). Then onto the show... Hannah has a one-on-one with Garrett, where they face their fears and jump naked from a Latvian bungee trolley. Luke finds out that his future skin suit, er, fictional wife, has been nekked with another man and he begins his slut-shaming routine. Then denies he ever said anything offensive. The group date goes well because Tyler C gets a rose. Next, Hannah has a Latvian spa date with Peter, aka Pilot Pete, aka the sweetest lil baby face contestant to ever grace the small screen. Luke P remains in the mix when Hannah sends home Dijon Dylan (see you in Paradise!) and Dustin.

I think a balanced mix is good. Like I move my own mountains and my husband acknowledges that in me, and my husband also moves mountains for me. I acknowledge my husband for his ability to move mountains and I move mountains for him. Tyler C talks a lot about Hannah and her positive traits but rarely, if ever, seems to talk about what he can do for her and what he can bring to the table. Luke talks a lot about what he brings to the table and what he can do but rarely, if ever, talks about Hannah’s strength and abilities. I don’t think she’s going to pick either of them. I think she’s looking for a balanced mix too.

Loved this. I think Hannah agrees with you about Tyler. Last week she complained they only talked about superficial things and no one asked her any real questions and this week Tyler asks her how she got to be so strong and she immediately straddles him to make out 😂
Love her but shes not ready for marriage. Notice too how all of her reasons for liking guys are "hes hot" (attractive etc) or "I like that hes so into me"...I think that's why she has such a hard time letting go of Luke
I agree. She doesn't seem ready for marriage. Imagine if a guy (the Bachelor) was acting that way. Straddleing the women when they were trying to talk. She honestly grosses me out. I don't want to be hateful or rude but I watch the show to root for the lead to find lasting love. Not to see rated R fondling and dry humping.

It's so refreshing to watch Tyler and see someone words and actions actually line up. In the beginning he spoke alot about women running the world which seemed to me like someone saying something someone wants to hear. But since then he has stood by Hannah when she was down emotionally, told her that he wants her in her highs and lows and he wants the real Hannah. He has stood up for her behind the scenes defending her decisions and respecting her as well. He has told her how strong she is and that she is also like an angel. He sees how those qualities are needed in marriage and with children. He zooms in and focuses solely on her. It's incredible because you can see he truly respects Hannah and women as a whole. It's a beautiful thing to see. Many people say nice things. Not many people actually follow through.

I might be late to the party with the questions for the producer but do you know why the show rarely airs any meaningful conversation on their one on one dates ? Like real questions to Hannah , about her life or childhood or family or friendships or hobbies .... anything Besides right reasons, being vulnerable , etc. (beyond Garrett The Bore asking her about her ‘struggles in the past).

I read that Reality Steve reach out to the ex girlfriend before the article but he doesn't pay so she decide it to have the interview with people. I think that both Jed and the ex girlfriend are so fame hungry. I feel so dissapointed Jed was my favorite. Great recap!!!

I get that it’s possible Jed was not serious w his girl knowing he was gonna go on show- or that he didn’t expect to fall for Hannah- but at this point he’s lying to Hannah. He would’ve needed to be upfront about his “casual” relationship as well as going on the show for his music. I can’t feel “bad” for him. Regardless of whether the woman got paid or not- she has the right to go public w story and try to heal and move on. Crazy how we always question the woman for coming forward rather than the dude who only thinks of himself

Of course not, but you probably shouldn't apply for a career platform while in a relationship, especially when you plan to take a romantic vacation to the bahamas together and exchange I love you's. That's like being there for the wrong reasons twofold.

And the lightbulb comments...I'll miss them if Jed is the one leaving next week. Although, we never saw Connor once in the preview so it could have been him too.

So glad you said that!! I swear I think that girl had a nervous breakdown or something, as the script sounds like they are ALL covering for her short comings, with a giant load of BS! She always looks like she has been sobbing her nose off, as when ist is her turn to try to say something, the dudes just shove their tongue in her mouth to shut her up, to save her face. ( Not being catty) It just all looks SO FISHY to me. I only began watching it with the last guy, and it was really interesting, and really pulled me in! So this one looks like "they made a big mistake" casting Hanna! They fill the time with so much waste, for some reason. And she looked disgusted at last nights rose ceremony.

If you watch the bobby bones interview with her, she states she took no money for the pictures, but was going to use the situation as an opportunity to share her story and get her band's name out there.

Just found you ladies, and I love you! Have you gals ever watched the youtube channel "Bachelor Fantake". The guy breaks down episodes and make predictions about how the show will run, possible outcome, etc. I think you two would really like it! He just posted a "conspiracy" video about Jed being the one to propose. Shocking I know!
We've seen some of his videos, and he does GREAT detective work!
Re: Jed - Whitney, are you forgetting what happened NIGHT 1 with that "jerk" or whatever you called him who had JUST been dating someone and Hannah booted him then and there and went to teh gorup of guys and asked if there's anyone else who had something similar to reveal? Now, I DO think Jed didn't think he would fall for someone or maybe not even make it that far, and I DO feel his feelings for Hannah are sincere. And I'm hoping that, since Chris Harrison tweeted after this story broke that you shouldn't believe everything you hear, Jed gives Hannah a second confession, saying that he's falling in love with her and sees an engagement at the end of this, but that when he started the show he was thinking about someone else. If he does that and Hannah forgives him, I'm cool with Jed. The real story here, though, is where the hell was Hannah's bodyguard Demi? Girl has ZERO spy ninja capabilities.
We saw Mike Fleiss tweet that, and agree that if Jed does that, we (well, Whit) would be cool with him, too. Ry may need him to never play guitar in public again. And 😂 to Demi's ninja skills!
@@WhitandRy I just watched Bachelor Fantake's video about the Bachelorette "conspiracy," and I urge you two to watch it. It is spoiler-free, just based on the Jed info that's all public. It would make for a very interesting twist on how we think things are going down at fantasy suites (or right before? or right after?), and it would put Jed's sincerity in a different light. Despite his voie, my guy is still Tyler. Pete isn't as out ther as she needs and also...flighty? (I mean on the "road" too much.)

Whit & Ry: By the way, you are my favorite recappers! Heres my question-- How do you think Jed manages to bring Hannah home for a Nashville-Based hometown date with Haley as his girlfriend? She's not just his well-known girlfriend (commercial), Jed also starred in Haley's last three music videos! That would be a little uncomfortable, don't you think? I predict that Jed's hometown date forces him to divulge the information about Haley, before-hand, and that the outcome is traumatic for Hannah, leading to the awkwardly-placed sit-down conversation between Chris Harrison and Hannah after Hometown week in L.A that we saw in the 5B episode.
Not sure if this is a big ole spoiler, but hopefully you're guessing he makes it to hometowns? We speculated that he'd be leaving next week, but it's always a possibility that he comes back, of course. So to answer your question, we have no idea! If he gets a hometown, he must've been dodging his ex like a ninja. (Great theory about the random sit-down!)
