Simon re NMTB was an insight although it probably shouldn't have been. I understand why he would be sick of being asked, but he was so damned good as compere of that show that we miss him still. This does not detract from all the excellent comedy he has done since and will do in the future. I wish him every success and happiness in his life and look forward to being entertained by him for many years to come.
What a fantastic interviewer. In this interview, she's probably one of the funniest women I've seen on screen, apart a few that I cba to mention. What a great talent.
Jessie Cave wears glasses very well, which is something I have tried unsuccessfully to achieve several times, I am quite jealous. Also, as the question was posed, I am watching these videos because you are charming Simon Amstell.
I believe I can answer this in a civilized & somewhat informative way... Yes, I and many others do believe he is very talented. Each person is equipped with a different sense of what is funny and what isn't. For instance, my friends think I'm hilarious, but if I walked into a church and tried to do stand up, I'd be booed out. Simon is funny in the way my boyfriend is. He uses comedy as an outlet and an honest way of connecting with people. Overall, it's just a different humor. &He's brilliant.
I'm not sure about uploading, but I doubt he does that. This specific video was edited by Siddharth Khajuria, as said in the description. :) I'm sure professionals edit all his videos, I can't imagine he has time for it.
Simon in my opinion is the funniest person to ever walk the earth. I literally love him as much as any heterosexual male can love another man. I just wish I didn't live so far away from Edinburgh, I really wanted to go see his show and I didn't know about his one in Kent until it was too late. Hopefully I'll be more aware next time.
I am watching these videos because I'm one of perhaps many people feeling...well, a lot of the things you say you feel, the challenge of being a self-reflective person afraid of rejection who also wants connection and sex...and I like comedy, and while I have a job its quite slow right now...etc.
How can you not do a 3rd series of Grandma's House?! Don't do this to me Simon... no. You can't leave it how it is. There needs to be an ending, not a cliffhanger.
I will admit when pushed that I come from near Gants Hill myself - and it is an admission - but Grandma's House was one of the best things on telly. Clive was one of my TV highlights along with lecturer Matt Beer from Campus (also dead). He's one of the great TV comedy characters. Stopping something which is successful simply because it's successful is understandable but stopping something which is brilliant, well.....that's not the same thing. Fuck it. I even went to his school. OK. I'm his mum.
Simon, can we get married please? Or have a civil partnership until marriage is avaliable? Or we could just cuddle forever. It's up to you. But they are the only three options.
People always ask you if you could do buzzcocks again because it was better with you, and even though all the stuff you've done after is good too, we watch old episodes of Buzzcocks and realise that it will never be as good as it was when you hosted it.
She's a bit weird, which I usually don't have a problem with, but in this case it's kinda irritating/inappropiate. Simon is wonderful. ^_^ And so cold, that poor thing... :'(
I'm pretty sure in that era ladies weren't supposed to do much except sowing and delivering babies. I wouldn't call her especially ladylike though. Maybe we have a different view of what a lady ought to be. She is very confident, like she's very comfortable with herself. Not a lot of womenare like that nowadays, true.
If you don't like him, then why would you watch his videos? Just to leave some negative comments? TH-cam is big, why don't you go out and find something you like and leave us people who love Simon and find him to be very funny alone, hm? Sounds like a plan to me.
The knack to flying lies in learning how to throw yourself at the ground and miss. I watched this video cos I wanted to see you make up your mind about the towel. But mostly cos I'm a mildly creepy stalker who can't see you talk in real life and thus has to resort to youtube. XD Only mildly.
I am watching thse becuase your kinda hot and really funny, and The vlogbrothers upload less purely comedic stuff so I need more. Humor is like crack or ice cubes.
Other people do not find him as interesting as he finds himself. If you want the public to fund you, you need to give them something - entertain them in some way. He used to be truly hilarious on NMTB and I enjoyed parts of GH a lot. But jesus he can be dull and self-obsessed - what is the point of this - it's certainly not charming.
I think that this might have been the point because he was advertising his stand up which shows him being a rather flawed human being, this sheds him in alight that is similar to the one he portrays in his stand up. I found some moments to be quite charming like when he speaks about wanting to be a dancer but that's just my opinion.
My god, I am so happy to have come across this man's existence on this Earth....he brings me immense joy at a very low point in my life...
That's exactly how I feel about Simon rn 😩
Every great comedians are somehow depressed and sad. I love you Simon, I love how sensitive and vulnerable you are. Be strong.
I am watching these videos, Simon. Because I LOVE YOU.
I'm watching because I'm interested in interesting people and Simon is an interesting, fantastic person.
Oh, I wish I could give him a hug!
Last episode of Grandma's House season 2 made me tear up. Which doesn't usually happen, not even in drama movies.
Love Simon.
Sure do miss that plumbing. He was so good at it too.
Sometimes I just want to give Simon a hug.
I love Jessie Cave SO MUCH. Almost as much as Simon Amstell himself!
Simon re NMTB was an insight although it probably shouldn't have been. I understand why he would be sick of being asked, but he was so damned good as compere of that show that we miss him still. Ahh... He's so sweet... It's not his fault I'm cracking up whenever he speaks... really....
'Hi Simon.' 'Hello.' *laughter*
That's when I knew it was going to be good.
Did he start crying as she was laughing at him. Omfg if he was crying simon please dont cry. I almost cried watchin you. Plz dont. We love you.
+Tyler Pessagno (Ty) I cried...when the train comes again...
I'm watching Simon! And I watch because you remind me I'm not alone.
Simon in a blanket is nearly as adorable as Simon as a bunny.
I am watching because Simon is my favourite comedian.
I just started watching this man ,and can't stop laughing, brillant interview, he so funny.
I feel so bad for laughing at your misfortune and unhappiness but I can't help it Simon everything you do makes me chuckle
What a fantastic interviewer. In this interview, she's probably one of the funniest women I've seen on screen, apart a few that I cba to mention. What a great talent.

i am watching this video, and its because i love you!!!!!!! woop SERIES 3 OF GRANDMAS HOUSE, WE NEEED MORE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! cant wait till tomorow!
There's a Gary Shandling quality to him I hadn't noticed before.
I am watching these videos because I am a Tap dancing enthusiast.
Simon Amstell and Savion Glover are the heroes of my Life.
Whatever you do, I think you'd be wonderful at it. You don't have to do anything and you'd still be wonderful.
Simon Amstell is adorable.
The look he gives to the camera at 1:20 is the perfect mix of uncomfortable and reassuring.
I'm not sure about uploading, but I doubt he does that. This specific video was edited by Siddharth Khajuria, as said in the description. :) I'm sure professionals edit all his videos, I can't imagine he has time for it.
Now, I've seen some strange interviews. but this one..... I don't even know.
We really did like you're plumming :D
Would it really be that bad to do some more of it in the future?
oh simon, i wish you would hurry up and realise people fucking love you!
I'm watching these videos Simon, I am.
And I would appreciate it if you didn't question my judgement in the future
That's the problem. You can't tell if he's serious or not. :'(
Simon in my opinion is the funniest person to ever walk the earth. I literally love him as much as any heterosexual male can love another man. I just wish I didn't live so far away from Edinburgh, I really wanted to go see his show and I didn't know about his one in Kent until it was too late. Hopefully I'll be more aware next time.
i wish simon could come to california :3
I am watching these videos because I'm one of perhaps many people feeling...well, a lot of the things you say you feel, the challenge of being a self-reflective person afraid of rejection who also wants connection and sex...and I like comedy, and while I have a job its quite slow right now...etc.
Was he really crying at 3:32 ?
My mum and I watch these videos together and then about how much we love you. She said she'd buy you some tap shoes if you'd like.
simon is way cute ! wish he was on my team
How can you not do a 3rd series of Grandma's House?! Don't do this to me Simon... no. You can't leave it how it is. There needs to be an ending, not a cliffhanger.
What this filmed near Ladbroke Grove/ Latimer road area?
But we do all die. That's pretty accurate what he said.
It's entertainment though, it's not just another job because everyone feels like they know you through your work.
1:03 words to live by.
Does Simon edit and upload this videos himself?
I will admit when pushed that I come from near Gants Hill myself - and it is an admission - but Grandma's House was one of the best things on telly. Is that Dr Who?
"We hate everything you do that isn't plumbing!" hahaha
They're both so funny. I love them.
hilarious!
I really don't see the Lee Mack similarities :P. Lee Mack is quick, hilarious and witty...
Is he not allowed?
Simon, can we get married please?
Or have a civil partnership until marriage is avaliable?
Or we could just cuddle forever.
It's up to you. But they are the only three options.
Well we do die, don't we? You seem like you know everything.
People always ask you if you could do buzzcocks again because it was better with you, and even though all the stuff you've done after is good too, we watch old episodes of Buzzcocks and realise that it will never be as good as it was when you hosted it.
I am watching this. I think people watch Simon because he is funny and interesting. Cuckoo.
She's a bit weird, which I usually don't have a problem with, but in this case it's kinda irritating/inappropiate. Simon is wonderful. ^_^ And so cold, that poor thing... :'(
she's really funny

I think you should become a tap dancer.
Kind of get the feeling that she's trying too hard.
why am i certain that Simon is the first one to watch these videos, becasue the counter says i am the 20,368th
1:50-2:40
If you don't like him, then why would you watch his videos? Just to leave some negative comments?
TH-cam is big, why don't you go out and find something you like and leave us people who love Simon and find him to be very funny alone, hm? Sounds like a plan to me.
I enjoyed this.. a lot lol.. yet I'm also awkwardly confused by it.
or Simon holding a cat.
no one says that :)
The knack to flying lies in learning how to throw yourself at the ground and miss. I watched this video cos I wanted to see you make up your mind about the towel. But mostly cos I'm a mildly creepy stalker who can't see you talk in real life and thus has to resort to youtube. XD Only mildly.

I would date you Simon.
What the hell is that ? :D
No wait I WANT to date you. lol....
first world problems :)
go back to plumbing!
