Shein is not bad , The prices are affordable... they have pretty good clothes I think it’s just her body type. Certain clothing in Shein You have to size up
Yes, they are inconsistent with their tag size and actual measurements across the site, for example XL is not the same for all outfits ... but SHEIN actually has the measurements for each garment listed in every product listing. All you need to know are your correct measurements and then check if the outfit measurements match you. That way you can size up or size down according to your fit requirements. They are almost always true to size. A couple of years ago though, that wasn’t the case with SHEIN. Now, they also tell you if the material has stretch and how much and the type of fit the style should have. The reviews and customer pictures are also a great way to get the right idea. I must have bought at least 50 pieces from them in the last 2 months and everything fits as expected and as on the model...except for the length of some of the dresses because I am only 165 cms tall. It can be annoying when you want to shop in a hurry and can’t just pick stuff by tag size. I am an in between size (UK 17 if that existed) and in every brand outside I end up having to get a 2XL but on SHEIN it is mostly XL when I go by their measurements, a rare 2XL for certain clothes.
I'm a size 22/24 and I've gotten a ton of stuff from shein for super cheap and they ACTUALLY FIT! I love that they offer free returns so I can try anything and whatever doesn't work for my body type I just send it right back :)
I have never had a bad item from Shein, but you really need to read the description and you just really have to be careful with the sizing. The only thing I do is wash the items when I get them.
Some of us are aren't rich 😅 so Shein is a good option for us. I have never had any issue with the fitting because i pay attention to the measurements and the material and i'm good. I got many High quality pieces for only 20 bucks.
I mean no disrespect, but it feels very sus to spend a video telling us not to waste our money, putting links to the items, and then noting at the bottom that they’re affiliate links. I get putting links in in case someone makes the decision for themselves, but it feels kind of shady to badmouth a brand while simultaneously making money off the selling of those items.
I love Shein! I read all reviews, check size chart with each item. They also tell you what fabric each item is and if it has stretch or not. Im also a bottom heavy girl. I wear size 22/24. I buy anything I get there the biggest size. Usually if it's the "shein" brand it will be true to size but the other brands they use run small. I have only gotten a few items from them that I didnt like. The lingerie is amazing for a bigger girl like I have a ton of lingerie now. I even have lace leggings and a lace moto jacket that are to die for.
Same- you have to check the reviews and compare sizing to others who bought the product. I’ve found, I’m TYPICALLY a 1x (14/16) from SHEIN. You can’t go wrong with the t-shirts.
It's definitely good to communicate quality and sizing issues but seems kind of weird to conclude that Shein was "the worst" after actually really liking a few of the pieces you got. That pleather skirt and the blouse looked really good! (Anything with pleather/vinyl and any kind of adhesive is going to stink I noticed. Needs 24 hours to air out.) I won't defend Shein's quality, I've gotten a few misses myself but I think what really draws in the plus size crowd is that there are some really wild pieces that have never been in our size for such great prices before. I mean for the longest time, most people our size just bought what was cheap and fit but maybe looked like retirement home hand me downs because that's all they could find. Now, because of Shein some people realize they can actually find styles they really want to wear. I think of it as a fashion starting point. I still buy pieces from Shein but I definitely now am not afraid to be more discerning when buying clothes elsewhere!
The savvy Shein shopper knows: a) don't go by the Chinese sizing, which runs wayyyyyy smaller than US sizing - go by the garment measurements (which means taking your body measurements also) and b) make sure to check the fabric content and stretch info on each item. I for one appreciate that they provide this info, and have found some great pieces from them.
Im a recent convert to Shein. Like you said they give you all the info to help you with sizing. I love everything ive brought so far. Very impressed with the quality of the garments. Ive had lots of compliments of the garments i wore to work. 🤗
As a broke plus size girl I actually love shein. It's one of the very few places where I can get cute in style clothes for cheap. That being said you have to be very particular when picking out clothes. First thing i do is check the material. If it's 100% polyester I don't buy. If it has spandex I check the reviews to see how other people liked it. Sometimes I order a size up if reviews lead me to. That technique has always worked for me. Also one last thing. Don't expect to get great quality clothes. Most of the time they're cheap flimsy materials. Sometimes you'll get some really good quality materials but.dont expect it
The photos!!! Shein not only posts reviews that are helpful, but customers post photos of themselves in the items so you can really envision yourself in the items. PHOTOS people!
Why won’t select the fabrics you like in the filter? Also you can check what are the fabrics used for the item in description. I kinda don’t understand why people who buy let’s say 100% polyester expect a knit… just get to know your fabrics and buy accordingly. For me default is cotton, organic cotton blends, viscose, denim, flannel, velvet, rayon. And then I look at the ratio of elastin, polyester, nylon or spandex to my preferred ones.
The key to Shein is to do your measurements and look at item descriptions so you can see material and stretch. This will determine if you can size up or down. Plus, the reviews are VERY helpful! Shein has NEVER disappointed me. It's all about measurements (I'd keep an index card or pic of measurements handy for when I order) and check "description" section for each piece you want to order.
Life is way too short to wear crappy polyester/synthetic fabrics. Just spend the extra money (if you can afford it) and get the better quality items, or pay closer attention to fabrics. ♥
life is too short to obsess over fabric... if it’s cheap and synthetic but you like it, go for it! it’s about being happy with your clothes not the price of the fabric.
Polyester reacts with my body chemistry and starts to smell weird. I love clothes made in India bc they are usually linen, I love thrift shopping bc you can pick them right out of the racks, linen is amazing lol.
SHEIN is an awesome website, for me anyways. I wear an 18-20 and usually a size 1X, but shein you need to read size measurements and try to read reviews. That’s how I always end up getting my perfect size. I literally have 4 separate orders coming of a total of like 30 items
I'm sorry, I tittered when I saw this video pop up on my notifications. I love you and your videos! You've saved me from many heartaches with clothing brands. Hugs from Texas. 🤗💕
OMG you're so negatively prejudiced from the beginning!! You should check a little better before you go shopping online and be careful about measurements and photos from reviews. ALSO, it is a big deal to know which items suit your body type.
Shein is hit and miss for me I’m a big girl too, the shirts usually fit me but pants yeah having issues with those. I’m 3x and either the pants fit or they don’t buttoned up.
I personally don't think Shein is the worst, I actually love their clothes. I think Shein might not work for your body type which is ok but it's not fair for you to say they are the worst
I agree with you. I honestly need a 6x which they don't make. But I don't order a 5x without stretch and then say that they suck for it not fitting me.
Honestly I am not sure if you’re realistic enough to your size? I am over 250lbs but with clothes I get I’m huge “size” wise so when something doesn’t look as great or fit how I’d love it to but when like me your a plus plus size I think that’s what happens and you can’t really drag the brand xx
Ur not going fit into sheinn I know their size the make real plus size true plus size but your to big way to big to fit 20/22 24 ur way bigger then that so why try
I ordered from Shein and I was pleasantly surprised. It took me a while because I read the measurements(and took mine)and reviews. Everything fit for me.
I've just purchased the Emotionally Exhausted shirt. It's going to take all of my self-control to not wear it to my utterly emotionally exhausting job every day 😂😂😂
I'm a little confused by this haul. Many of these items worked for Anna size wise. The materials are not great, but none of us are expecting that from Shein. They make cheap clothes, that's literally what they're known for. They're a company that exploit their workers, but again, we all know that. If you chose to shop from Shein, you do it kind of at the risk of your conscience. But size wise, everything seem to fit. I'm just glad you didn't have to cut yourself out of anything this time around. It's a low bar to set, but hey, it's Shein.
Yes I thought they fit well. A lot of the comments were on quality but what do you expect if every piece is usually less than 15 bucks. Also she admitted that she’s stuck with a certain size when that could be a problem considering SHEIN does not have consistent sizing. It’s better to go by measurements.
I love shein . I'm a size 22 and I've only had size issues with the rompers . You should do a lounge wear haul ! . Shein is my favorite place to get pj's and sweats !
One man's junk is another man's treasures. I like them you can get some really nice stuff off there site xx hope your keeping OK and safe keep smiling lovely xxxx
I wear a LOT of Shein. That and Boohoo are my go-to’s. But, I read reviews closely and look at customer photos and the measurements. And I prefer to buy things with some stretch from Shein. It can be hit and miss, but when you strike gold, which l frequently do, it’s amazing. Some of these, in your video, actually look better than other purchases you’ve modelled from elsewhere. You just need to read fine details and reviews.
I genuinely love SHEIN and I’m a plus size girl myself. I do make a point of thoroughly going through the reviews before ordering something though. Overall, the fabrics on cheaper pieces may not be the best but all of the items I’ve ordered have been plus size friendly. Really sorry your experience with them hasn’t been as pleasant ):
I agree, also think that the clothes have potential, the problem is that she doesn't know how to work with them or style them, also she have no idea how to order from Shein. Is ok to embrace our curves, but cmon, she have to know what looks good on her and dont blame the brand. Don't like her at all, is like she is trying to be funny by mocking a brand?? 🤣🤣🤣🤣 please
Also, I've noticed that any clothing with words or logo's, you need to carefully read because some of it is goofy, it seems like no one is editing the wording. Beware, lol!
I've never had any luck with SHEIN. The material has always been low quality, usually smells, has unfinished edges, and looks good on only one body type. Definitely not worth the money.
1. Very excited to see more of those Christmas decorations! 2. SHEIN is reportedly a horrible company to begin with. I think your money is better spent elsewhere
I have noticed that if you are a bigger girl shein isn't for you. I'm a size 16 /18 in us sz and most of there materials are bad and don't fit I have an apple shaped body and most pants look terrible on me from shein. There either to big if I get a 3x or 2x is to small why . I'm actually trying not to buy any more clothing from them I'd rather just try on clothes and feel better about myself. Thanks for listening to me complaining.
SHEIN is not consistent in sizing. However, they provide measurements for each piece of clothing. If you want to try SHEIN, go with the measurements and not by a size your used to. Yes it may vary by item but who cares? No one needs to know what size you wear. Lol also yes this is fast fashion just like Forever 21 and any other cheap clothing store. If you’re paying 5 dollars for a shirt don’t expect Macy’s quality. It’s not hard to shop with them and it can be worth it if you want some cute cheap pieces and know what your measurements are.
I agree that shein should add more pockets to their clothing and could use some thicker materials. However this review is a little harsh. Yes, it's hit or miss to a degree. But that's true with all shopping. At least it's not as much of a price gauge as some plus brands. Also pro tips: they list the measurements. When you click on the size it tells you how big that piece is specifically. They also have a little area called "description" where they tell you the material of the fabric. You can input your info for their suggested size. And there's even a part that tells you about how much stretch to expect. Lastly read the reviews!! A lot of people post helpful reviews. And I would try figuring out what styles of clothes work better for you and try ordering those. It takes some trial and error but at least it's not at $80 dollars a dress. Lol
as a plus size woman i understand having the initial “this isn’t gonna fit me” thought because you don’t wanna get your hopes up.. but attitude is everything and once i got out of that mindset i wasn’t as miserable during online shopping experiences anymore. i’ve watched many of your try on videos before and i’ve always gotten that vibe from you. sorry you haven’t had the best luck, we’ve all been there at one time or another, but damn. put out the energy that you want to attract.. that’s all i’m gonna say

I mean no disrespect, but it feels very sus to spend a video telling us not to waste our money, putting links to the items, and then noting at the bottom that they’re affiliate links.
I get putting links in in case someone makes the decision for themselves, but it feels kind of shady to badmouth a brand while simultaneously making money off the selling of those items.
it's like they paid her to badmouth it
I love Shein!
@@laurawachler1403 Idk I do believe she said she is a 22/24 in the past 🤷♀️ I'm only 5' tall and I know she is pretty tall.
Same- you have to check the reviews and compare sizing to others who bought the product. I’ve found, I’m TYPICALLY a 1x (14/16) from SHEIN. You can’t go wrong with the t-shirts.
"Your pants don't fit, pull yourself together!" 😂
I laughed out loud right along with her with the “pull yourself together “ shirt. Love the dress she was wearing! Lovely.
You look amazing in that dress. Where is it from?
Lmfao
Bruh 😂
I asked the same thing lol.

The clothes-mostly trash
Your commentary-priceless and just what I needed today.
The pink/mauve dress that you are wearing while introducing the Shein clothes is adorable!!! The blue top is great and the fur jacket is adorable!!
Sometimes you'll get some really good quality materials but.dont expect it
I think you can look at their size and material description. I often buy from shein. My size is 1XL. Their style is very nice.I love it
The photos!!!
Where is the dress you're wearing from?
I think it's from Asos.
absolutely everything about the dress in the intro is working for you. Colour, Style, fit...gorgeous!!!
Shein is probably my favourite website. You just need to check the measurements and each item tells you how much stretch it has.
I just want to say that you are so helpful with your reviews. Fun, real and articulate! I find them so helpful, thank you for being you!!
What is your actual size ?? I’m just asking bc I’m looking for clothes I’m a 24/26
Where is that dress you're wearing from... Love it
Same! 😍
I was wondering this too! It’s so cute
Me too I need this dress
Asos I found it deeeeeep in the comments
You're not supposed to buy based on the size itself (3xl, 4xl, etc) , but according to the measurements in inches/cm of each item (bust, waist, hips)
Life is way too short to wear crappy polyester/synthetic fabrics. Just spend the extra money (if you can afford it) and get the better quality items, or pay closer attention to fabrics. ♥
Most of the fabrics are actually not tacky and they have the premium line now but more for me :)
life is too short to obsess over fabric... if it’s cheap and synthetic but you like it, go for it! it’s about being happy with your clothes not the price of the fabric.
Polyester reacts with my body chemistry and starts to smell weird. I love clothes made in India bc they are usually linen, I love thrift shopping bc you can pick them right out of the racks, linen is amazing lol.
I would love to see a video of you styling some of these items with other pieces that you already have!
That coat is fire!!!🔥🌟
I agree!❤️❤️❤️
You are the queen of proportionizing. I love how you cinch your waist. I think the plaid skirt looks phenomenal on you sister.
I personally don't think Shein is the worst, I actually love their clothes. I think Shein might not work for your body type which is ok but it's not fair for you to say they are the worst
Well they kind of are the worst.. considering they use sweat shops.
I feel like the red velvet skirt would look really cute as a top with the tie thing in the back with a cardigan over it
What size jeans do you wear? Im a 24 and find it hard to find clothes
It's going to take all of my self-control to not wear it to my utterly emotionally exhausting job every day 😂😂😂
The description tells you the fabric used and if it has stretch...try reading it
I'm a little confused by this haul.
Sorry, but I hate your opinions on the outfits. They all look so good on you!! & the clothing that were the wrong sizing were the bad ones lol
I love shein . I'm a size 22 and I've only had size issues with the rompers . You should do a lounge wear haul ! . Shein is my favorite place to get pj's and sweats !
I love your kitchen cabinets!
I’ve not had an issue with Shein so far, and I’m a size 22/24 apple shape. Sorry that all your experiences have been terrible.
Rite I love me some Shein💜💜💜
How many sizes up do you think is needed if I order from them, interested to try something, I’m from uk and sizes are 14,16,18,20,22 ect x
I’m 195 and I buy a size 3 for a looser fit but usually a 2
she really bought the ugliest clothes on shein and tried to diss them for it
I agree, also think that the clothes have potential, the problem is that she doesn't know how to work with them or style them, also she have no idea how to order from Shein. Is ok to embrace our curves, but cmon, she have to know what looks good on her and dont blame the brand. Don't like her at all, is like she is trying to be funny by mocking a brand?? 🤣🤣🤣🤣 please
Just check the size chart properly as well as the fabrics and the pics it's not hard. I'm a bigger girl and shein is awesome
Also, I've noticed that any clothing with words or logo's, you need to carefully read because some of it is goofy, it seems like no one is editing the wording. Beware, lol!
Engrish is my favourite thing from Asian brands, for a laugh I walk through harajuku and look at all the unchecked English phrases on shirts. Magic
Thanks for being so honest!!! It is good because there are so many brands and ads that I see for this store, and I am always leery!
Love the dress at the beginning of the video! Your hair looks great curled too.
I hope you keep and wear the daisy skirt. It gives off amazing 90s vibes.
shein has never given me issues I always love what I get
even though some of the items were trash you still look beautiful. Also you look like you give great hugssss
I've never had any luck with SHEIN. The material has always been low quality, usually smells, has unfinished edges, and looks good on only one body type. Definitely not worth the money.
You are glowing! That dress you wear opening up the haul looks amazing on you!
Love your dress in the beginning! So beautiful 😍
I found it ironic that the “pull yourself together” tee messed up the quotation marks 😂
I love the rose color dress you was wearing in the beginning and end. I really wish you'd said where you got it from.
And the problem is everyone in the reviews on Shein says they love the fabric!
I have this dress in my cart and love this on you. I like that you pushed up the sleeves and it gives the puff sleeve look!
The dress from.the beginning if so where is it from?
Love you
Where is the dress from that you are wearing at the beginning
I LOVE Shein, they have the best prices ever and the clothes are so fashionable 💖
Thank you for not spending 5 minutes talking about ONE item and calling it "cute" ten times.
Lol
Thanks for showing us this haul! I loved the coat on you! The mauve dress was so beautiful on you! It went so well with the coat!
I like Shein but it's sweat shop labor feeding a Chinese billionaire which I'm very much turned off by.
I made the mistake of ordering from them once and never again. I think I got the front part of the snaps on your leggings!
Shein is just a more organized, sub-brand of AliExpress. Agree with everything you said regarding quality and sizing.
I loved the way Christmas just took over your background there at the end. Darn Christmas Elves have been sneaking around, lol!
as a plus size woman i understand having the initial “this isn’t gonna fit me” thought because you don’t wanna get your hopes up.. but attitude is everything and once i got out of that mindset i wasn’t as miserable during online shopping experiences anymore. i’ve watched many of your try on videos before and i’ve always gotten that vibe from you. sorry you haven’t had the best luck, we’ve all been there at one time or another, but damn. put out the energy that you want to attract.. that’s all i’m gonna say
