He was great in 2003-2004 but declined pretty badly the following season (which ultimately proved to be his last), he was a fool to not take $21 million considering how little he really had left in him at that point.
@@spooky-mulder It was pretty clear that Sprewell was noticeably declining after the 2004-2005 season. $7 million a year was very fair considering he was gonna be 35 at the start of the next season and well past his prime. None of the other 29 teams offered him the money he wanted either which is pretty telling itself.
