i remember this game vince was nervous and not attempting to create shots(applying moves to create space) but was throwing up shots and attempting to use athleticism against physical team defense. mcgrady was calmer and getting shots off by applying moves.
Johnny Johns You're partly right but remember these Knicks were still a good defensive team and if you watch the tape he was trapped anytime he went to the basket and he refused to give the ball and he had T-Mac who average 23.0 PPG during the series.
Abel Mehari actually t-mac avg 16.5 not 23 and also shot with bad 38fg%...in that season carter avg 26p in regular and it was his 2nd best season (2001 avg 27.5) and in these series he avg 19 with 30fg%!the next season which was his best scorng season ever he avg 22.5 and 37.5fg%!

He is my idol, perfect in both defense and offense sides.

Latrell idol
It's such a cliche, but what Vince lacked here was definitely mental toughness.
Nah spree just had that d
if only the knicks had Spree in the mid nineties instead of Starks, nothing against Starks.
A lot of players played for their Knicks when they were past their glory days: TMac, Penny, Kidd, Sheed
Carter
This game low tide
Willis, Oakley, Christie, Bogues A Davis - such an old team
How did Sprewell only make one defensive 2nd team and 0 1st team in his career?
Because he was average in the 90s, with far superior competitors in the 2/3 position, compared to 2000s
Uh cause voters are dumb lol
Sprewell gave out the blueprint on how to defend Vince Carter in this series. But, Vince learned his lesson the next year when they faced the Knicks.
no Vince still played horrible with like 38% shooting. Knicks were just too washed up to finish the job
Vince still shot 38% against the Knicks
The raps just caught the Knicks at the right time which is why they won
