I have a very complicated number to the extent I haven't found proper power for my lenses anywhere. Using your vedios I was actually able to convert it to a spherical number and use contact lenses during my special events. Can't thank you enough!
At 2:08 The diagram is wrong according to the power cross. The horizontal line indeed should be anterior (-4 ) than the vertical line . At 3:49 it's minus CONCAVE lens
The vertical meridian has more power- (-4). In that case, it should produce a horizontal line more anterior right? The horizontal meridian (-2) should produce a vertical line closer to the retina. Isnt this correct ma'am? Please do clarify. 2:33
Yes you are correct ! The diagram is wrong according to the power cross. The horizontal line indeed should be anterior (-4 ) than the vertical line(-2).
Well yes that would be the spherical equivalent. But the decision really varies from patient to patient . There are special indications for using spherical equivalent as prescription and some contraindications as well

That's awesome to hear! Glad you found it helpful 🙂

Yes thats I also thinking।।Why convex

Thanku mam, all ur videos are very nice, informative and good learning tool,, you are like dronacharya to many students 😊🙏🙏
Thank you!
if someone have -2cylender and no spherical correction can we convert it to -1 spherical?
Well yes that would be the spherical equivalent. But the decision really varies from patient to patient .

with the rule compounding miyopi is it right?
Best explanation ❤
is there a limit for cylinder values above which it is not advisable to give a sph equivalent ?
It's about 1 D. Beyond that the acceptance is poor
@@InsightOphthalmology thanks very much for your response and for your excellent content .
Keep up the great work
great 👍 👌
Thank you very much
How to know the image formed at horizontal meridean or in vertical meridian clinically
Why you show vertical focal line at front and horizontal focal line at back, in schematic eye, as they are reverse as you told in strum coniod
I have assumed that horizontal meridian is more steep than vertical
Therefore js is focussed in front
@@InsightOphthalmology thanks alot
Why minus convex lens
It's a minus concave lens.
Mam, if the vengeance power in vertical meridian is 4 diopters, why have you entered it as just 2 diopters in the formula?
That's a power cross wherein the sphere is the smallest number (between 2 and 4) and the cylinder is the difference between them (-4-(-2) =-2 ).
If spherical power is 0 D and cylinder power is -1.50 dcyl ×90° ,what is spherical equivalent
-0. 75 D spherical
Concave lense ya convex lense plz make it clear plz
Thank you for pointing out the error. It's a minus "concave" lens.
Its Concave lens. Mam आप bol सही रहे थे पर diagram convex lens ka ban gaya tha.
