They're great for greatly increasing your damage! I definitely think they're better used in arrows than fused to weapons since their low durability means you have to keep fusing to make them even remotely useful
For dazzlefruit, gotta also mention that they insta-kill stal creatures in the blast radius (except bosses and horses). I use them all the time, especially when a group of stals is coming towards me.
I mostly roam the depths, wearing Majora’s Mask (also at night on the surface), as well as my Tunic Of The Depths, and Gaiters Of The Depths, to protect against the Gloom. Makes things a whole lot easier. I’ve also taken to using a lot of puffshroom sneak-strikes as of late, mainly because I had a few hundred of them saved up in my inventory.
You missed Zonai Stake Arrow + Recall + platform. Amazing for going from high area to low area and then back up again. Also, hover stone arrow is amazing for extending paraglider glide time by creating a midair platform to regain your stamina.
@@Dualshockers yeah it makes going from region to region WITHOUT activating towers on the ground a thing. Makes getting to certain isolated sky islands like the labyrinths easy when combined with a hoverbike to gain the necessary altitude. Just amazing! Also, have you tried the zonai stake arrow trick yet? Just shoot zonai stake to lower area, attach a platform, sled, or cart to it, then use recall and voila! Instant way to return to high place with little effort.
Cannon arrows are an ok substitute for the bomb flowers if you’re running low. Also hover stone arrows in the early game when you don’t quite have a lot of stamina for long glides. Splash/ice/fire/shock fruit arrows are helpful too because they’re plentiful.
So, if I’m understanding correctly, rocket arrows are basically a replacement for how the Ancient Bow behaved? I never used them because when I went to set one up I figured it would probably weigh it down too much, lol. Will have to give it a try. I like how in a similar way to a Majora’s Mask, they found unique ways to replace Link’s abilities and/or items, or to alter and hopefully improve them (in most cases at least, the 3DS remake seemed to change some things that most ppl didn’t like, but I’m talking about the comparison between the original OoT on N64, and the original Majora’s Mask on N64). Like replacing the elemental tunics with the transformation masks, or the Boomerang with Zora Link’s fin attack, the slingshot with Deku Link’s bubble, the Iron Boots with Zora Link’s sinking/walking on the bottom of water bodies ability, or areas where you would’ve used the Hover Boots being replaced with the Deku Flower, or his ability to skip over water. They also just added new things outright, like Goron Link’s roll ability, Zora Link’s swimming, or others that improved the existing ones. Examples being, things such as the Deku Flower also adding a height advantage instead of just being able to cross large gaps, or the variety created by each version of Link having their own unique musical instruments, in addition to Hylian Link’s Ocarina of Time. In TOTK they did similar things in this same spirit, most obviously in the arm abilities, where besides replacing they also added new ones, and altered/mostly improved others, so that way you could more or less do most of the things you were able to do in BOTW, but they don’t hand it to you, you have to think creatively, and outside-the-box sometimes in order to figure out how (or you know, just look it up, lol). Stuff like the Hylian Pine Cone being a replacement (or even improvement if using multiple cones) for Revali’s Gale, or Sidon’s water bubble giving you damage protection for one hit is kind of a replacement for Daruk’s Protection, except instead of 3 hits and then you wait for however many minutes, Sidon’s ability has a much quicker cooldown, but then you have to find his avatar to activate it again, and thus is can’t be used to block consecutive blows like DP could. Whether that one’s an improvement, or more of a trade-off, is subjective and depends on the player’s preferences/gameplay style. Anyway I could go on all day, but I’d just like to add that I would be very interested in seeing a video on this exact topic: “Item’s + Abilities From BOTW, And What Replaced Them In TOTK” That way we could all have a (somewhat) comprehensive list, and a handy reference where all of the info is available in one place and, at quick glance, players can save a bunch of time if they just want to know which item or Zonai part to use or fuse/attach to be able to achieve whichever effect or ability they’re looking to recreate. Besides learning a bunch of stuff most casual players wouldn’t already know, or realize was possible, such a video would also likely have a lot of interaction via people in the comments sharing their own discoveries/theories of things not mentioned in the video itself. The only problem is that compiling even just a cursory guide would be a Herculean task, since the game is so huge. There are so many items/devices, and the fact that they let you combine them in various ways just adds so many more possibilities, literally thousands. The length of this comment kinda got away from me here, I REALLY could go on all day (prob my adhd/being on the spectrum😅), so I’ll just close my little dissertation “On Comparing/Analyzing Zelda Gameplay Mechanics” with this: In the way that ppl are still discovering major things about BOTW to this day (even 20+ yr old games still get the odd revelation on occasion), I predict that it will also take many years before the full scope of Tears of the Kingdom is revealed. (Even though it’s long, I know someone out there will appreciate this message. If that’s you, then “Hi!”🙋♂️🙋♂️)
@@KM-hk8tc here's a secret: use a bow that shoots three arrows at the same time like the Lynel bows and attach bokoblin fangs or keese eyeballs and you can take down all three heads at once. It doesn't always work if the arrows don't fan out enough, but it makes those fights WAY easier
When you mentioned the ores making massive elemental attacks, you didn’t mention star fragments. They have the same effect as dazzlefruits, and they make an AWESOME blast of light when hit using an arrow!
That's true, but I'd argue that since they're SO rare, Star Fragments have better uses elsewhere (mostly with upgrading your gear). TBH I've actually never tried fusing star fragments to anything since they're so valuable!
@@Dualshockers IMPO the dragon parts are better for most things than star fragments, especially when they get to be things like horns and fangs. I kind of agree with you about using them on arrows, but fusing them to rods is great for exploring The Depths. They still sell for a lot, too, and they are essential for upgrading some sets of armor. Fusing them to arrows is supposed to imply the same effect as the Bow Of Light in BOTW, but they really aren’t too good on arrows, I agree.
I would have never known about all of these fusion effects if it weren't for TH-cam. The Muddle Buds are basically the Tears Of The Kingdom version of Assassin's Creed's Berserk Darts etc. (aside from being temporary). Berserk Darts were my favorite weapons in Assassin's Creed games.
I am searching some unusual fusions utility... Like, the floating platforms + shield. What is it for? When you use the shield, your battery goes down so i suppose that means it is doing something...?
For me, the only worthwhile arrow fusions are: lynel hooves for Lynels in the depths to knock off the armor - much better option than bombs when you start farming Lynels. You'll have more hooves and arrows than you can use. Monster eyeballs makes farming Gleeoks insanely easy. You shouldn't take any damage in a fight. Bombs and Muddle Buds of course but not because they're needed. More for simplicity and/or the humor. The gems, dazzle fruit, monster parts, zonite, etc are all just a waste or resources better used for other things but I guess an option until you learn better combat methods.
Someone else said it, but I'll say it anyway. Ancient arrows, they delete most if not all enemies. "Why did you make pretty much the same comment?" you may ask. It is because I whole heartedly agree with/2nd said comment, that's why. 👍🏻 I'm saying that person is right, that fusion is among if not entirely the best for arrows.
it is such an overlooked addition to not have a rocket fused arrow explode - I mean, isn't that what you would expect from the minute you draw it back?
Gibdo bones
Bit impractical imho, though maybe that's because I don't go out of my way to farm them.

Having the gradient set (or ganon set) increases their damage even further@@Dualshockers
Strong but not efficient to grind 😅

Spikes from the Dragons on arrows are insane! And you’re not wasting precious gems doing the same thing!
Underrated: Bokoblin fang arrows actually target the head of the enemy just like Keese eyeballs do. Only learned this fact yesterday.
Wait really?? I had no idea, that's incredible
Certain parts like hinox nail, hooves and teeth give extra damage when specifically fused to an arrow
What!? Man this is a tip I wasn’t remotely expecting. Only way I can take down Gleeoks are with the eyes

Wouldn't Ancient Blade be the best fuse since it deletes the targeted enemy?
Yeah I use them when I’m just annoyed by something that I don’t care to farm lol
Not really, since they're really rare, (The most I've found in any single game are three.) also you lose any loot that the foe would've left behind.
Thank god I watched this video I wouldn’t have known some of these if it weren’t for you

There is a fun to know that there is a glitch that allows you to shoot poes and they make the enemy’s soul leave there body
