Thank you for this video Dr. Anderson. Simple and easy to understand. My physics tutor won't know what hit her when I shine in her class next week!!!! Thanks again.
Awesome explanation Dr. Anderson, I currently have a Physics teacher who refuses to have our class learn Physics in any easy way so your video was very helpful for learning Kinematic Equations. Thank You for being so clear.
Dude is not only thinking thru and working out the equation...but "writing and drawing it out in reverse" from his perspective too? Got to agree with Christopher Mueller . This is AWESOME. Talk about understanding a thing "backwards and forwards". He is demonstrating that ...LITERALLY.
How come acceleration in the x-axis is 0 and yet the body manages to cover a certain distance in that axis? Is he talking about free-fall when an object is just dropped from the top of the building? Well, if that's the case, wouldn't it be just one dimentional motion? (if you drop something and gravity is pulling it downwards). But he said the condition was when 'you throw something from a height away from you', and the graph shows the same.
writing stuff like this backwards okay. i can write backwards but not while my brian is also trying to make sense of this sort of thing lol one thing at a time
i think you made a problem. 9.8 is suppose to be -9.8 in the square root and you cant sqaure root a negative so are u suppose to change it to positive. not sure
Asadullah, The negative is included in the -1/2 gt^2. The rest is correct. Thanks for the comment, and keep up with the physics! You might also like my new website: www.universityphysics.education Cheers, Dr. A
Hetty, Thanks for the comment, you're not the first to call me Dr. Strange (hopefully you mean the superhero and not that I'm just weird.) You might also like my new website: www.universityphysics.education Cheers, Dr. A
One of the few physics professors that I’ve ever seen that can make everything perfectly clear the first time. Awesome.
The power of editing!
Cheers,
Dr. A
Is this guy legitimately writing backwards.. Jeez, props to him, that's freaking impressive..
Nope, very much illegitimately writing backwards. The truth is out there: th-cam.com/video/CWHMtSNKxYA/w-d-xo.html

I wish my online physics professor had the same equipment you use. Made everything clear thank you !
How do you write backwards like that?????
+Ravin Randall Ravin, not writing backwards. See: th-cam.com/video/CWHMtSNKxYA/w-d-xo.html

+Ravin Randall The video is flipped.
Three Brothers Then how do his students see the board?
lol this is funny i would said good observation
His IQ is 4000 and hes the master of making women squirt
Thank you so much I don’t understand anything in class and after watching this vid I got my Albert hw correct !!!!
wow I forgot what an actual decent lecture was like, THANK YOU!!!
Lauren White,
You're very welcome. Glad you're enjoying the videos.

Exam in two hours! This is super helpful!
Oh yea? Exam in 38 minutes 😎
I didn't know The Governor from The Walking Dead taught Physics...
+Beardactal hahaha i am shooked
Beardactal - u actually Read - ?? i thought the concussions’ u obtained from fighting shorted that out ?
That is not very nice :(
This explanation is definitely better and clear than it was in my freaking class. Thanks.
Awesome explanation Dr. Anderson, I currently have a Physics teacher who refuses to have our class learn Physics in any easy way so your video was very helpful for learning Kinematic Equations. Thank You for being so clear.
+Edgar Reyes
Thanks Edgar, sorry to hear your other experiences in physics class aren't that great, but glad to be of help.

He's not. It's a mirror trick with the camera.
Why doesn't my professor teach like this? This guy deserves an award.
Thanks! Hopefully a Razzie or an Ig Nobel. That would be awesome.

The best physics professor I've ever seen
Sir your explanations are the best!!!! I really wish I could attend your classes in real time! Thanks a lot Professor!!!
I am taking this class as a 8th grader, this really helped!
You made this so simple for me to understand!! Do you have anymore videos on 2D and 1D motion?
Hlo Ashley can u suggest me best lady teacher for physics and chemistry
@@safinhasan9683 😬😬😬😬😬
the coolest way of teaching physics
Simple and graceful lesson. Thanks!!
Thanks a ton I have a big test tomorrow and I always get confused on how to find time this cleared it up
Trent,
Good to hear. Best of luck on the test.
Cheers,
Dr. A
I’m just confused on the set up to where you write normally and the class doesn’t see it inverted
Can you use the equation at 8:38 when an object is not launched vertically, and has a height of 0?
WOW! one can actually fall in love with mechanics watching your videos. Thank you so much.
This is so helpful! Thank you so much for this explanation
how is the text neon blue when the pen is neon yellow?!!!
Thank you for sharing this with us other students also studying physics haha

Very good explaination, I like the fact that you take the time!
This guy is a genius !!!!!!
why did you use -g for calculating the time ?
because it's the downward pull of gravity, downward meaning negative.
f(t)=16t^2
Let 1305 = 16t^2
Then t= square root(1305/16)
t=9.03
This explanation was awesome! Thank you!
Cool presentation!
Thank you Dr. Anderson!! Great job explaining this!
Ron,
You are very welcome. Thanks for the shout out.
Cheers,
Dr. A
Nice sir
Great explanation, its helpful
p
What is he writing on?
Why u took initial velocity zero .It should acquire some initial velocity to move in parabolic path
like how the heck do you write backwards!! I am like so mine boggled!! Also so satisfying watching you write!!!
plzz make a video on curvilinear motion its a bit tough topic.
Very nice! Thank you Sir.
Did he write everything mirrored?!
doctor strange bout to help save my physics grade
i wish you were my lecturer

Oh, that makes me smile. Thanks.

someone tell me why the "g" is negative in the first place
William Surya Sasthama because g represents gravity and gravity pulls down. If it was positive then you would be saying gravity pulls up.
@@dashernation3343 thank you
The negative sign just indicates direction. If up is positive, then gravity (down) is negative.
Cheers,
Dr. A
Thank you so much 😊😚☺😉
Thank you, it. was very helpful to me
I am baffled as to how you don't consider the horizontal force at the start
you are a god thank you for this
Can someone explain me please these kinematic equations? Im really curious!!!!!!!!!!! REAAAAALLYYYYYYY! Thanks! :)
