My son and I are working on our 69 Ghia that we saved from the car crusher!👍 Great VW camper! I'm going to look into one after I get the ghia back on the road.👍👍 Hope to see you on the road 🛣️
That's actually a vw t2 kombi with the pop top of a westfalia, the t3 westfalia is more angled and boxy. Still it's a beautiful van I'd love to be living in it
@@bomiozyt4221 yes I had a 1977 VW Westy that look just like your but my had green and yellow straps on the seats and green curtains and had a fridge but it did not work so it was like a ice box and Crome bumpers and a automatic transmission
Rude. These things are a bit delicate. Restoration takes time. He was obviously excited to share a piece of history. This is an awesome bus..rear bumper and all!
@@leehui1192 bullcrap.. I take offense to somebody using the term restored that doesn't deserve it.. Say restoration in progress.. If you've ever restored a car you know what I mean..
Personally I detest that shade of Green 🤮 .....makes me think of PUKE or PUS. Other than that, nice restoration. I would order the screen room enclosure for that awning to increase the living space. That's a great idea about the clear barrier. I travel with cats and want them confined to the back, but still be able 2c me, and I them. 👌
The Green on this Camper is Sage Green the original color and I spent 2 1/2 years restoring it. As far as the upholstery goes I didn't like the Plad Green that was on all of the Green Westfalia Campers. They also came in Orange, and a Beige color. Would I do it again? No I spent crazy money and it's ok for a young person to travel in but like me I was 67 when I went from Florida to Seattle. It doesn't have power steering and I now have to reverse shoulder replacements. I now have a truck camper that is real GLAMPING UNIT. LOOK IT UP. Cirrus 820 and Ford f350 Platinum.
Oh the Green grows on you I bought a brand new one in 1979 and it was the last one they had at the time. And I did not like the color at the time. I was in my 30s then and went all over the place with it. Horse Crap on milage 21 mpg if your lucky and only 14 gallon tank. Hippie stuff.
I sure would love to buy that's a beautiful camper van
Nicest V.W. bus I've ever seen
Still building mine..you did.fantastic job
