FYI, he closes the level at around 23min. The rest is a secret room for golden strawberry only. He had to do it for the first time, and took his time planning
I'm currently at 6 hours played on Chapter 9 and I just got to the very last screen, which is where I stopped watching too. Hoping I can atleast finish it in under 7, lol. I speedrun the game (Not great, but I can consistently get 50min times) so Chapter 9 taking as long as it takes me to finish the game 7-8 times is hilarious, lol.
I got the the farewell golden today. It took me 130 hours and 12k deaths over the course of 9 months. After 80 hours on farewell I got to the golden room and died, it took me 50 more hours to get back there. This time I fucking made it! I'm watching back a bunch of videos of speedrunners getting, I feel so proud that I got it too eventually.
This is extremely impressive, after completing it I actually thought this feat was close to impossible, even more so now knowing that there is a freaking extra room in the end you can't even practice in. Congratulations on your achievement!
JoseJavier Colina you can practice the last chunk if you get to the room with assists, get to the top to get the Golden berry, but instead of finishing the level you go back to the beginning of that screen. Now if you die instead going back all the way to the start of the chapter you start on that screen.
Thanks for the replies, didnt actually know that! But for him to actually not practice and find the solution to the room on the go without dying, thats what stuck the most to me, the pressure to perform must have been colossal!
I never intended to get the Golden Strawberries purely at the thought of having to do the B-sides deathless. This level sealed that resolve in stone forever. (Spoilers for last room below) I do really like the meaning for that very last room though. That little dinky green flag, I feel like it's supposed to be Granny's. You've made it as far high as she did. And now, you are just as crazy as she was ! Congrats, you loon !
It really isn’t that bad if you practice each room, I’ve gotten to beat blocks and if I can get past there reconciliation is easy, granted I have a couple hundred hours in the game but it’s all practice based Update: I just got the golden strawberry

Other than that, watching you get through this entire maze flawlessly just brings to mind how much dedication it must have taken to be able to do something like this. Hats off to you, man. Holy freaking crap, you did it!) Also, can we appreciate that a really efficient perfect level 9 takes longer than a speedrun of the base game? That means that this DLC is basically an entire game's worth of content in a single level, and all for free! Dang!

I just spent several days completing this the non-goldenberry way. Several thousand deaths. Watching it done like this is super cathartic. Well done! The electrical box at 19-40 took me about an hour. I was boosting in a different order to this and it was not working until it did by sheer luck. Wish I'd watched this video yesterday!

I remember getting to the heart gate after I just unlocked the chapter and I was FUMING because I only had the four to unlock the core and I already spent like two hours on that first part.

If you don't know: A while later, the moved this exclusive room to only after the moon-berry. That's right; doing farewell golden is no longer good enough to unlock this secret. You need to get the moonberry while you have the golden as well.
I spent 14 hours trying to beat the normal way, aroung 4k deaths, and my heartbeat was race paced while watching the Reconciliation segment, this is purely insane I almost cried on 30:21 cuz i didn't notice that was a safe place to land, i thought you were about to die, congrats on beating this monster of a challenge
Can you believe they made this level harder with updates? First example I've noticed myself is the screen at 11:02 now has a crumbling rock to start on so you can't reset and have to do the whole thing...

Fucking insane run. So much stuff I didn't even know about like being able to skip the keys, the secret dev room, or the extra screen right at the end just as a final fuck you for getting through the whole level with no deaths lol. There's so many parts in this level where you can't make even a single mistake so this is absolutely fucking crazy. Just clearing this level and getting the moonberry took me 8 hours and 2600 deaths, can't even imagine pulling this off.

If you use debug mode, you can teleport to the final screen in order to practice it. It's located wayyyy off to the right of the regular level.
