@@rickrenegadesmetalreviews3243 Thanks man! It would be great, maybe a series dissecting each album, or the main ones from each era or formation of Rage. I'm from Brazil, and here few people know about the band, and specialized metal channels simply neglect it, you see very, very little about it, and when you do, it's quickly... sad, but it's true...
@@jotapaulo87 Interesting idea… When you say dissecting, what aspects would you like to hear discussed? There’s a channel by a Ukrainian guy named Andriy Vasylenko that goes extremely in depth with Metallica albums, like EXTREMELY in depth, haha… always thought it would be cool if someone did that for a band like Rage or Blind Guardian! I know information on Rage is very limited compared to a band like Metallica, but I’d certainly put in the extra research and effort for it!
@@rickrenegadesmetalreviews3243 Andriy's channel is very good! The way he delved into Cliff Burton's bass technique is impressive! So, I say in relation to creating a series for each band, covering each album and curiosities about it, making a video for each album and bringing, in addition to your opinion and analysis about the work, curiosities about the cover art, production, formation , challenges that the band faced during that period, tour, where former members who are missing, such as Sven Fischer and Spiros Efthimiadis who stayed in Rage from '94 to '99, the bands in "Rageverse" like Sub7even, Tri State Corner and Soundchaser as curiosity's etc. But I'm not saying to do this format just for Rage, but to extend it to other bands too, so it's diversified, bringing other great bands like Blind Guardian, Iced Earth, Hammerfall, Grave Digger and so many others that we all love but barely hear (or see) some channel talk. The vocals on End of all Days give me this suffocating feeling on the vocals, at least in songs like under control and some others, but really I love that sound, and I really love how everything everything sounds on that album.
Hey Dude, The era of Victor Smolski is my absolutely favorite Rage music. Aggressive, but still melodic. Excellent riffing and also symphonic vibes in the whole Sound. For me those 15 years with Smolski had the Best Musical quality of All Rage Line ups. The LMO album from 2013 is the ultimate Killer. Greetings from Germany
glad I came across this. I have many Rage Abums. Certainly my first Speed Metal Band when I bought Perfect Man. I really enjoy the latest AfterLifeLines. Should have beeen bigger.
I love Rage, and at the time I discovered them they were my absolute favorite band for decades later. I discovered them back in 1998 or something with End of All Days, which is a real special album and it's hard to say if it's my favorite of all albums but indeed, has this very unique atmosphere all the way from start to finish, so yeah this was my gateway album for Rage. I consider those times their very golden years, this includes 4 albums; Trapped, The missing link, Black in Mind and End of All Days. But I also love or growing to love every album they put out. I also have this thing about Ghosts, very biased because I see it their most disappointing album, I remember it was the first of their upcoming albums, since I was aware of them, and I was so excited about the ghost-themed concept of the album, cause I was super into ghosts and all these mysteries... and I had to order it through the CD shop, when I got it in my hands I was so excited I finally put it on and ...and the first 3 tracks are very good, but most of the songs later were so boring. At least at the time for me. But I know deep inside I love Ghosts as well. I just love Rage and can't help it :) It was also at that time where they decided to become the holy trio Peavy - Smolski - Terana with their respective superhero :) symbols (a bit cringe) and Smoslki brought too much virtuosism into RAGE imo, also Terrana used a bit too much that double pedal that made every song feel kinda the same at some point, mainly song choruses. I confess, was guilty thrilled to see how Rage is going to sound once Smolski was gone. It was because I feel I liked their guitars more before Smolski came, with Spiros and Fischer. But I'm not gonna lie, Smolski's made rerally great albums basically all of his albums are very decent, Welcome To The Other Side, Unity and Soundchaser immediately stand out here for me, but also many of these albums you really grow to love, unlike Carved in Stone, where the opening blows you away right away, heheh. I always tought Rage was one of the most underrated bands out there. They are so amazing, and barely anyone knew them, at least back in the day, but still... kinda. RAGE ON!!
It's Lingua Mortis orchestra, not Lacuna or Laguna :) (lingua meaning tongue, and mortis is dead, so means like Tongue of the dead or simply... dead tongue)
To me their best era was between 93 and 96, being Black in Mind my absolute favourite. The triad Missing Link-Black in Mind-End of All Days are the best for me overall.
i didnt care for carved in stone much. agreed victir is great guitarist but the missing link beats the victor albums. aftet victor left i havent heard anything afterwards .the few newer songs with the new line up are cool but that missing link sound for me is tops

Great video. Love Rage. Incredible that they have almost 30 albums and they are all good on different levels
So true.
Great tier list! Very good talk about Rage, is so difficult to see a channel on YT talking about them! Rage-on!
Hey thanks!!! Cool name! If that’s the case I’ll do many many more, definitely one of the best bands of all time!

The era of Victor Smolski absolute garbage, and the band didn't play the old stuff live. I hate this time

That’s amazing!!! I’ve met Peavy once… very cool guy!!!
