Oh man, Sentinel _do not_ mess around when it comes to engineering transforming robots! The engineering is pretty spectacular, the way that you create little alcoves to tuck things into and the clever little details like the exhaust covers! I especially like that the robot - _ahem_ - *soldier* mode actually looks like a proper robot soldier and the jet looks like a clean jet model. Each mode is clean and you can't tell at a glance that this is a transforming toy. I love that. Anyway, this is the first one of these toys I've seen. I _completely_ avoid the *Riobot* line because of the cost. I can't collect 1000Toys figures and these things! Thank you for the video, it was very informative and I love seeing toys I haven't seen before. Very clear transformation instructions.
Man I'm constantly rewatching this every time I transform one. I simply cannot overstate how useful these are! It also helped me decide to buy the 2024 re-release ......and on top of all of that, they're just really cool videos. Thank you!
Thanks for yet another insightful video! If you could possibly release a video that takes the transformation from Soldier back to Fighter, with any notes and comments regarding what to look for and make sure we do in the process, would be most welcome. This is a beautiful toy and I don't want even one little sleeve, post, notch, tab, etc. to be out of place! Thanks again man.
Also, the nosecone in soldier mode WILL lock into place. Just apply pressure when pressing it against the back until you hear a click. It won’t flop around anymore.\
I would love this in my collection but I've just made a purchase from BBTS 2weeks ago & I will not see it in Australia for months. Covid-19 has affected shipping, so I'm of the opinion it is best to wait it out before anymore purchases are made.
Thanks for the video. This is the best looking Legioss figure ever! The timing of the release is a little tough because of the economic disaster on my finances that was brought on by COVID-19 but hopefully one day I will be able to get this figure. If not now I really hope Sentinel considers a re-release.
Very good and informative video, ScorchedEarthToys !! Thank you ☺ nice and little bit petty of you to start the first part of the transformation on the side with the "broken winglette" 😉 and I'm here for it! 👏👏 good work, micronian .
A COMMON ISSUE; the black rotational joint that is a cylinder with a tab frequently is either misassembled or slips out of position out of the box. It is essential to keep the tab on the back of that cylinder tabbed into a slot inside of the white thigh block so everything rotates together.
The tabs pop out too easily though. The best method is to already swivel the leg inward to lock those rotating cylinders in place. I have not had an issue yet when I swiveled the legs in place before attempting to manipulate the hips.
Read you're review and thought it was great. I still prefer a well written text review over a video review. I have one question though: how, exactly, do you get the rear landing gear out? I'll take anyone's help. Thanks!
Thought I would comment on the wing part falling off. I have two of these and both have no issues wing part falling off via the clip. I did have issues with one wing part not being glued onto that clip part. Another issue is the ankles will get loose after a number of transformation (20+ on both of mine).
This Legioss is too complicated ... I think the skill of the producer is also in simplifying the transformation. Nice, but too full of small and complicated passages...
Broke the hip joint on my green one during the first attempted out of the box transformation from fighter, trying to follow the instruction manual. Wish the hip joint was metal not plastic. Disappointed.
Storytime: I bet it's around 15-17 years ago now (im 26 now), i went to a fleemarket with my grandma. I was (and am) a huge mecha fan, and i found a "Transformers" arm there. I never found the rest of it, and never found out what it belonged to... Fast forward until TODAY and i realise that the arm i found belonged to this!?!? :D Funny how things are. Seems like i found the arm from an older version: i.ytimg.com/vi/D68F-zjMDHg/maxresdefault.jpg (the blue one) And again, that image is from another video of yours... haha, again, all these coincidences
This really pisses me off. It was advertised as 21 cm tall, not 16.5.... wtf, that's way to freaking tiny. I need to cancel my order and just get the Evolution Toys version. I wouldn't be mad, but I don't need another midget version and it is clearly advertised as 21cm on multiple sites.
@@ScorchedEarthToys All the sites advertise "Height" and "standing". All I can remember was how disappointed I was that my Toynami Masterpiece was no bigger than a voyager transformer. But I'm thankful for the photo review from scorched earth. At least now I know.

This video is so much easier to follow than the instructions. Thanks Scorched Earth!
the toy just gets better and better the more i handle it,, the poses look so good

Very articulate engineering design. A lot of moving parts, but the end soldier mode looks awesome!
It was my favorite animation when I was young,
so I bought it too, but the transformation was unexpectedly difficult.
Sorry for those that commented on the first attempt. Someone pointed out that a clip was missing so I included it and reposted.
I just woke up and was .... didn’t I watch this before going to bed lol
@@lasarith2 no one wonder..i did watch abit but i have to go to sleep XD
Ah, was wondering about that. Tried to share to fellow fans of Mospeada/ROBOTECH , but they said the video was private.
Also, the nosecone in soldier mode WILL lock into place. Just apply pressure when pressing it against the back until you hear a click. It won’t flop around anymore.\
Don't forget the shoulder armour. When extended a tab will protrude out to slot above it. It locks it more in place and not as fiddly.

Thanks for the video! Please do a reverse transformation one
Great video Jenius! You know what you have to do next... an actual review video plus comparison of the Sentinel & past Legioss toys. 😎👍

Is there a trick to having it rotate the shoulders once it's been transformed into soldier mode?
Ok, I think everyone will agree the Lgioss doesn't compare to the Valkyrie, but, DAMN, that was made with some crazy detail!
Great video.. thanks
*sniff* it’s beautiful 🥺

Awesome video as always! The loose flap of the wing is kind of a shame, but still a really nice looking figure and an easy enough transformation.
J'avais ce joli modèle dans les années 🥰

Oh no, is the ankle part metal to metal?
@@Gravadel somewhat they have 2 small round rubber inserts which do little to nothing do it ends up being metal on metal.
Awesome as always, read your review too - excellent work!
I have same issue on the same wing
Thank you so much for this transformation guide, it was perfect!!.. question, so on the shoulders basically unusable joint? :(
I also don't have an issue with the wing
so cool..
Well you can definitely tell what and where this idea came from and all I can see is a VF fighter from Macross
i finally get my hand on Alpha fighter.
i can not wait for riobot made beta fighter...maybe next year
My God! Sentinel, you crazy son of a bitch, you did it, you actually did it.
will Riobot do the beta?
Yes! They teased one recently. No word on price or release date though.
@@ScorchedEarthToys any pics????

NIce one.
More believable transformation than the Zeta Gundam
This review was right on, not “askew” at all.

That looks awsome, wish America had more macross merch.
Hoping when I get a 3d printer I can make myself a wolf squadren verotech.

Huh, any way you can share a pic? Curious what snapped on you.
This toy is perfect except for its size......

For what they are asking for this figure, it should not have any problems with it. Way overpriced in my opinion. Great review Bro.
Small but damn pricey it is!
We need some Orguss toys
Check out Megahouse Variable Hi Spec Orguss.
this is a Rip Off of the Robotech Alpha Fighter from Bandai, Matchbox and so on, somebody is in deep trouble for this
It's not a Rip Off from Robotech, Robotech that was a Rip Off from the Japanese Anime Mospeada, as Robotech as a crap cut from Macross.

Poor guy will never play QB in the NFL with those tiny hands... XD
