Shame that living in the UK we're not allowed to ride stuff like this on the road without them being registered, MOTd, taxed and insured. I'd love to build something like this and your other builds.... Perhaps just for show and off road use.

Coming down on X-mas day, and seeing this beautiful bike buy the tree. I imagine if he saw it now he would have a big ear to ear grin, and wonder why he ever let it go.

Instead of a tack weld, I'd leave the vise grip where it is for a more authentic mustie look. It has the added bonus, that if you needed them you know where they are. Nice ride mustie. Love it!!!

Great build! I can only speak for myself, but I would have enjoyed seeing the “aging” aesthetic techniques you used. This build inspired me to go back and watch your other bike builds. I really enjoy the detail you put into your work, whether it’s a POS mower you’re saving or bringing something special like Crusty back to life! Thanks for the work you do and your willingness to teach and explain as you go! This is my favorite channel, bar none.

Rack can be used, but aesthetically its much better without in my eyes.

Loved the series. Noticed that since lockdown, which is when I subscribed, you’ve gone from 400,000 subscribers to 428,000 - must be doing something right.

At the rate of speed he rides, he'll be replacing those coaster brakes on a regular basis. Mustie 1, you need bring that thing down south and ride the Tail of The Dragon with it.

Maybe “vintage-up” some modern disc brakes for safety’s sake...

I would call that a win. the proof is in the riding. as an old time bicycle-motorcycle guy, I must say that I enjoyed this series very much. my first cycle was a 1953 triumph 650 that I bought wrecked of a front end collision. I bought the front end from a burnt-out Triumph of a slightly newer vintage. and rebuilt that and put it all back together and rode it. I have recently put together a trike with a 2 stroke kit. I am not very satisfied with it and I think that I will put a four stroke with a centrifical clutch on it. happy trails to you.

The rack is cool but the bike looks better without it. Maybe you keep it around and have the option?

Keep the rack. I have one of those rear sprockets on my 2 stroke. Even with loctite the bolts like to loosen so watch for that.

Very nice! I enjoy ALL of your videos, especially the Schwinn Black Phantom. I have one, a 1951. I put a Cadet speedo on mine and have ridden it around 1150 miles so far. I also have a '56 Cushman Eagle which is great fun for wrenchin' and ridin'. Many thanks for all the cool videos and please keep on building neat old iron!

Does the front drum brake from a 'Crate' Schwinn bike have enough holes to work with that rim? Makes me nervous only that coaster brake.

25:05 - This is all private driveway? Knowing what paving costs; and what it costs per power pole up here in Canaderp..
That looks damn expensive. A whole house in a driveway. xD

K3NnY_G It's impossible for most of us to get our heads around just HOW rich the rich are nowadays. Paving that driveway probably represents about 5 seconds' worth of the owner's income.

In my town (2500 people) the council bids out summer projects, like water line replacement and street resurfacing. This summer's winning bid was $8,000 per block. This included prep, material, equipment (resurfacing machine, rollers, dump trucks ECT..) And labor. The surface they put down is glass smooth

Hi Mustie, I love all of your videos. Keep up the great work. I wanted to thank you for showing your work when you fix things. I know for you it’s probably nothing, but I learned to clean a small engine carberator on my lawn mower. It runs perfectly once again. So, thank you, I appreciate the tutorials. Take care and keep on producing the awesome content.
