- Dr. Richard Gilbert, an orthopedic surgeon hired by Johnny Depp's legal team in his defamation trial against his ex-wife Amber Heard, testified about the finger injury Depp suffered during a fight between the couple in Australia. Gilbert testified that it's "highly unlikely" that the injury was caused the way Heard claims it was. Gilbert testified the injury is more consistent with the way Depp describes it based on his medical evaluation of the injury.

this man is probably the best witness in my opinion so far. he's so objective and well spoken. i literally have no idea about surgery and stuff but this gentleman's explanation was so on point and easy to understand even for a uneducated like me.

The injury sounds much more shocking and violent when described by the surgeon. Tip of the finger was fractured into several pieces from a blunt impact. The bottle exploded on impact severing off the end of his finger. She must have thrown it so f:;king hard. No laughing matter.

Johnny Depp stated it was a large glass one with a handle. I have seen and purchased them. They are 1.75 liters which is a half a gallon and some are 3 liters. He said large with a handle so it has to be at least 1/2 a gallon. But it could've been bigger. Yeah it's pretty heavy and it was full of liquor as well.
Whatever they paid him was well worth it. He explains it so even a dummy could tell she is lying. The fingernail would be trashed. Great job.
I made a video on TikTok about that. Had it been a crush injury the nail would not have been sliced so clean. It was very apparent what it happened. He most definitely didn’t smash his finger off with a phone.

Honestly I sometimes wish that black mirror episode where everyone records their reality through their eyes was real. That way this entire case could be resolved in 30 minutes and everyone could see just how heinous and vile Amber really was. We get glimpses but no doubt it's much worse.

@@nathancarter9219 As a matter fact there are text messages that weren’t shown in court because they weren’t turned over. But they have been leaked showing where she was talking about killing Johnny. One of her friends sent her a picture of a knife and tells her not to use it just to show him and she said that she could figure out another way to do it. Which is another reason why she got mad because she wasn’t in the will and they had a huge fight about that as well.
Also she projects a lot. And she constantly says that she survived. That she got out of this alive. And that Johnny told her the only way out was dead. Usually what she says Johnny told her and did to her is what she told Johnny and what she did to him. Also a serial killer expert reviewed Amber and said that she had classic symptoms and traits of a serial killer.
I know people like Amber it's never their fault and if they do take recognition for something they did wrong they always have an excuse right afterwards which just deletes their recognition of their mistake.

I admire Johnny Depp so much! He is a class act for his lawyer team. Amber, on the other hand is a wild card! She has lied so many times, that she can't remember what she said. She make it up as she goes along. Today's performance by her about how this trial has changed her life made me sick. She pulled out every negative adjective in her vocabulary.
She started this whole side show by doing that OP ED. Someday, someway, she will learn telling the truth is the only way to live her life. I doubt that she will, though. This circus was her undoing. I wouldn't want to know her in person.......SHE IS EVIL!!!
Oh, but this trial DID change her life. She is used to spinning her lies and getting her way, so she didn't expect that her lies would ever catch up to her. Plus, she is accustomed to working with TMZ and it didn't even come to her mind that her "evidence" will fall apart when any serious witness/expert comes to testify. For the first time in her life, she is going to be held accountable for her destructive BS. That's why she keeps saying "I just want him to go away. I just want him to leave me alone". That's what makes her suffer...not the PTSD that she made up.
We need to back up and realize that this is a defamation case and not a DV case. Johnny sued her and then she countersued. It is possible that AH might win, if enough proof comes up that Johnny's actions DIRECTLY impacted her ability to get work.
But what this case is actually doing as a bi-product is that it's bringing out all the other DV nastiness. If she loses, she COULD face other charges such as perjury, DV, and maybe doctoring evidence (or presenting false evidence).
There's a reason she didn't sue him for DV, because she knows she'll lose there, with no evidence.
DV may have been part of the divorce trial. If so she can't sue him twice for the same thing.

It's already been proven in court that Johnny's actions had no affect on her ability to get work...but her own actions did.

The negative comments about her were the highest of the group, and the positive comments about her were the lowest.

I believe Johnny's description of the events and his finger.

Yes, she said it was an antique one at first and later changed it to a modern wall phone. Pictures taken soon after don't show any phone and then there's a busted up phone. Now I'm no expert but I have had a fist thrown at me that hit the wall, it left a large indentation/hole. If he was beating the wall with the phone there would be dents and holes as he would have had to be really pounding to cause that type of break. Go back and watch where they were doing that part and look at the pictures. Do you see any damage to the wall? Me neither.
If you have heard the recording from that incident you know Ms is lying. Pity it could not be played in court.

days a week. My specialist only did
2 surgeries a week. this means he is doing multiple surgeries a day. Wow, that is a lot of work! And that is dealing with a lot of blood.
The person who performed my knee surgery is the best knee surgeon in my country of Bulgaria, and from what I remember he does 400+ surgeries a year.
Still the tip of the finger was crushed in addition to the tissue that was sliced off and thats caused by blunt force trauma not glass breaking
