There's two things that should never be a part of a game's ranked mode: Level systems and rng.

Not really. The reason it sucks here is because they made no effort to only make you play against people your level, which is completely doable.

And u are gonna level on single player.. so the problems he sees with the game are kind of non existent

The "breach" sounds more like a problem than the levels to me. What do you mean you RANDOMLY ignore the keeper's defense??
Theyre addressing this in the next update, they already talked about it

Sorry but what is this "breach" you talking about? I just jumped into Victory Road hype (i played all 6 main game though) and i see a lot of people complain about this "breach" thing
Simply put, if your tension is above 50% or so, there's a random chance that any shot you make and instantly defeat a goalie or any shot you try to block as a goalie will be saved with no damage taken. Supposed to be similar to Critical hits in the previous games.
I fucking hate breach once I there was a shot at 1 atk the score was 2-2 and they BREACHED TF YOU HAD ONE ATK WHYYY HOWW
something thats is important to say is that the full game will have 3 modes: Campain, Chronicle and the Online. So it is a singleplayer game first. The common path is to play the offline modes first and them jump in the online, since you wont have any player to play online if you didnt played the offline modes. So i think that the level gap is not a huge issue, in theory, because when you begin playing online you will have a team above level 1
Yeah I feel like people forgot that this game is JRPG first and foremost

And the fact that the beta currently only has vs players/bots dosent help the issues
With no level cap for ranked, Im more worried about cheaters, captain tsubasa at least had a team limit depending on the rank, but here, all I can see is how easy it will be to cheat
Tip: the players level up WAY faster at lower rarities
The way lag affects matches I feel like it's the biggest problem in this game. I'm forced to play on wifi instead of with ethernet cable and when I get the lag in my favor it feels like the opponent has nothing they can do, and when it's against me it's the opposite and feels like I can't do anything. I'm pretty sure that with lag when focus battles start for the player with lag advantage they don't for the other, because you can just breakthrough before the opponent can react. Also the passes on the side that's unfavored by lag don't work, resulting in many times the GK trying to pass the ball and the ball going straight to the opponent's striker. Also there's the passes. If there's a bit of lag and you pass, so the ball reaches another player and then a focus battle happens with the player that passed the ball (because the pass didn't happen yet on the opponent's side when they started the focus battle) you start a focus battle where you have to go through, but you have no ball, so you can't breakthrough or pass, and instantly lose the ball.
Thankfully, a lot of things have already been confirmed to be fixed:
Breach will receive both a nerf and a rework (more tension is required and it does more damage as opposed to a guaranteed goal).
Proper offside will be implemented, so you can’t just skip midfield by long-passing.
You’ll be able to control your keeper (which‘ll hopefully prevent just passing the ball into the goal to score).
But yeah, player-levels absolutely be the same for both players in ranked. Steamrolling someone isn‘t fun for either side.
That's the purpose of beta, to find out what's wrong
On the update, the bots match gonna be double exp, so, leveling up gonna be easier
this problem is going to get patched next update, mathcmaking will be closer to your level. Also, Breach will be entirely reworked so that if you get a breach, the keeper hp will be reduced by the amount of tension you have, instead of insta-defeating the keeper. you can read the patch for the other updates!
Thankfully offline matches are gonna yield more xp so the grind is easier without just losing online! That and breaches + offside is getting fixed and the netcode is getting changed slightly too!
Why does a ranked game mode take into account the level system AND rng mechanics.

I feel like a lot of people forget that single player will exist, which will be how you level all of them up and not ranked
the good side that this will prevent smurfing
Also if you give spirits then they level up slower
They are doubling exp gain from bot matches in the patch, changing the way breach works, and also a tip, players earn more exp at lower rarities, if you are to start a new save, don't use the spirits until they reach level 30, try wait for the patch and leveling on bots first will be more reliable.
Also, equipment makes a big difference, make sure to save up for the good items, especially the grandpa notebooks which are the rarest drop, do not waste on cosmetics like Kits and Emblems
They should do what Pokémon does where they cap your level or raise the level of your whole team to the level cap. In terms of player card rarity, I think those shouldn't change as they only affect the buffs that your team will receive, so that should be something that you need to grind

Techincally there is a wind (blue element) player with a goalkeeper move, but she learns that move really late and it's a forest type move

Yeah I agree. I was sure everyone was gonna be like lvl 10 in ranked until I actually tried it out and got so disappointed
I wonder how much of a focus the multiplayer will have in the final release.
Kinda depends if this is going to be a single player RPG with supplementary multi like the OG or if the Multiplayer matches will be the core mode like the Strikers spinoffs.

I'm just waiting until the demo patch until playing again, Idk every change but I know that breach is getting nerfed.
When the game is out, is definetly recommended that new players go through the story first and get some levels agaisnt the CPU instead of jumping directly into ranked, there is at least a level cap, getting close to that would make the online matches more enjoyable.
This is an easy fix for the full version though. This beta wants to give as much replayability with the little content we have for now. I would expect that either ranked in general or a specific ranked mode will have fixed levels
I mean for the demo specificaly ranked might be a problem, bc you literaly can just do matches vs bots or online. But i guess in the full game at the end off the story you will be at a certain level. I would assume that in the full game it will be better, maybe you need to level some more after the end off the story, but it would be stil better than the demo.
Breach is a problem imo, but they already announced that they are nerfing it, so i hope that wont be too much off an issue bc its too op and rng, which can be frustrating, especialy in a close match.
In this game i feel like, if you aren't playing vs the cpu, you can have a fighting chance if you are 5 levels lower. 10 levels is a challenge (easier if only a few players are that low).
A bigger difference than that is a death sentence
I've gone online once or twice, pretty fun but I got outleveled both times so I went back to bots. My main team is about lvl 16 now and I've just gotten my first top player for it too so I think I'll go online again soon because I wanna unlock the aliens so BADLY! I love sam but Desarm is my favourite character in the franchise and I need his smug ass in my goal NOW!
Farming solves everything in a jrpg
I just went to ranked and lost on purpose just for the xp since it’s the fastest way to level up, and I also got higher spirits from it. I beat all ai levels too but ranked is the fastest by far, and I even won a lot because of passing into the goal or just out playing, it’s hard but not impossible
They need to fix the problem of people disconnecting 28 minutes into the second half to save scum
Crits were always fine as they sometimes didnt even matter, breach is just stupid 😂 it's like back in ie2 when outfield diamond dust players would catch a wolf legend trying to recruit Gazelle
I never used online in an inazuma eleven game and probably will not start with this one. Still, this is a huge problem for who wants to play online
I feel like this game mostly suffers from what I would call the "Pokémon Competitive" Issue. You can't just jump into Pokémon competitive because your level 5 pokémon can't do anything against the opponent's level 50 fully evolved Pokémon.
This game is similar, because it is built on the idea that Ranked is an addition onto the main game. You're not expected to go into ranked starting out at ALL.
I wonder how things will go once the playstation and steam versions of the beta release
You have to grind in any game I do not think those are problems at all xd.
It is far better than for example starting in genshin or star rail or any gacha that people play, it will take a year for you to clear abyss/moc content if you spend your money wisely (not in the game) even playing every day and doing all the events.
Moreover you will probably get players and get to lvl up them in the story mode, like always has been the case, in inazuma games.
Please tell me the camera angle is changeable

The game needs an equal stats mode like in DB legends, every character is maxed level so what matters in the characters and skill, still noy completely balanced but as close as your get

The first game is cause automatically the CPU’s team is stronger. The mechanics are a bit confusing at the beginning but gets easier trust me

Breach isnt even the issue. The real issue is passing the ball in the penalty area for a goal.

I'll probably play through the singleplayer and never touch multiplayer. Level systems that can just completely one-side a match is an astoundingly stupid design decision, to the point where I'm wondering how no one in dev team thought of this scenario before the demo came out

The beta will be ported to PS4 PS5 and PC but somehow we still don't know when. Hopefully when the next trailer drops they'll announce that.

Level systems and RNG in a competitive gamemode lol. I love Inazuma Eleven and this game is REALLY FUN but they need to remove levels in ranked and make tiers for certain players based on how good they are. So for example Aphrodite would be S tier and cannot compete below S tier. Hurley Kane would be B tier but you can grind to get him S tier to compete with other S tiers. So you can get everyone S tier after grinding but there will be base S tier players.
Some sort of system like that would keep the grind aspect but make ranked more balanced. Now they need to also give players some sort of stamina so there can be more tactical subs and more variety. Also each tier will have its meta so we will see way more characters being used (which is good in a game with LOADS of characters).
All in all I can't wait for this game to come out but I would definitely change quite a few things about it. I know breach is being nerfed but it needs some competition. I'm so tired of seeing breach players and it won't even change after the update. Sprinting needs to be changed too there is no counter to it at all.
