For everyone watching this and building the National Team comp, keep in mind that all of the damage is concentrated into one small area - much like a tactical air-strike - which means you might want to switch a character or change to a different team if you're on an abyss floor with a lot of enemies scattered around.
It seems like a hydro-infused Sucrose burst could potentially help a lot here? She'll group them up and apply hydro and pyronado will vaporize all of them. Admittedly the duration of her burst isn't great but against a lot of small enemies how many pyronado hits do you really need?
Chongyun's slot is prob the most versatile. You don't need him as much as XQ and Bennett, so you can put Sucrose there, which would be better if you're using Dragon's Bane on XL

Since chongyun can reverse Melt 3 Times with bennett help and have a decent Aoe Burst with Huge Dmg its pretty good. Im running Lavawalker 4Pc chomgyun. Dealing 26K reverse Melt each Sword burst (Talent lvl6) (Can be better if i have a Freaking Elemental Master Sands) using Sacrificial Greatsword. Meanwhile Xiangling can help your other team in spiral abyss.

I used this team (but venti instead of chongyun) for floor 12 a few days ago and finally was able to 36 star this rotation! My Xiangling was already well built but I had never thought of using her as the ""main carry"" of the team so to speak.
Blessed to have the national team c6, still building but you can definitely feel the power it has even at low investments. One of my favorite teams to play.
What's great about this team comp is that you're just one character swap away from converting into a Blizzard Strayer Freeze comp. Best in slot for Main DPS is Kaeya with at least C1 but Rosaria or Qiqi can work too.
When I started out I really liked benett, xinqiu, sucrose, kaeya, barbara and upgraded them anyway XD really happy to see that i had most of the team ready :p

I think what makes Chongyun one of the CN national team with Xianling is his E skill, that can infuse cryo to sword/claymore/polearm user, so you can spam melt with Xianling E/Q
Saw your broken Xiangling video and start revisiting my Lvl 10 Friendship early game sub carry Xiangling today and put her with decent artifacts, and put her with National Team + Noblesse Diona. She's surprisingly good and quickswap fun to play now with the team she's surrounded with! 20k each Pyronado vape and it could get better. She and her team finally able to compete with my Hu Tao team. I have decent 160% ER sub stats already on her so I'm wondering which spear to give her - Deathmatch, Dragonsbane, or Favonious Lance.. Will definitely build her more and experiment with her on Abyss 11/12 next. Thanks for the guide!

As a Chinese, when I heard the word in [national team] I hardly think of it represents nationality, but rather, how exceptional one is to in order to be recruited. E.g., we use the phrases [xxx is in the national team] to describe how good someone is.

Also, 4-piece Instructor is one of the keys in national team. Not only this artifact is f2p friendly, but also can reveal the TRUE power of national team. Just put 4-piece Instructor on Bennett or Chongyun or Sucroce (pick the weaker one), and DPS of whole team can greatly increase.

Best part of summoning on the Hu Tao banner was that 3 out 4 of these characters where on it. And now I have those 3 at C6 so guess I should build my Xiangling and Chongyun too (and bennett I suppose)
I was thinking about that yesterday, kazuha xiangling bennett flex could be very powerful. Adding Chongyun would allow kazuha to function as a melt dps, and xingqiu would be great as well, and has plenty of synergy with kazuha.
@Epidermal Cheese I don't really see much of a problem with that if you invested well in all your characters. Let's say you have Xiangling and Xingqiu and Kazuha swirls either Pyro or Hydro should both be fine, the other one can still trigger reactions just as well. I think it'd be just some additional damage. Albedo could be cool too with him, but I don't know how much he destroys reactions
Honestly national team is like a very powerful team but i feel like some people will jave a hard time getting their burst up i recommend use xingqui skill to get the orbs since his skill generate alot of orbs just use the skill and switch to the person who need energy ( only use this whem xingqui has his burst up)
My lvl 90 chongyun is great in national, with my rotation i hit 40k melts off my e (in bennett ult) and a similar number per sword in ult. Invested melt Chongyun with bennett is a very strong sub dps, doing more damage than albedo or beidou or zhongli.

This comp is quite F2P frendly since you don't need 5* char or really required any constelation for any of the character, the artifact more focus on the mainstat rather than the sub (getting good sub-stat is a pain), every player (probably) have all of them since they're 4*, and it's use the game mechanic (elemental reaction and team synergy) instead of brute force.
turns out my first party with characters except the 4 starter ones is already the national team with chongyun, except the fact that i was using jean instead of bennett
Is using 4NO on bennett bad for this type of comp? I used 2CW 2WT on my xiangling. Chongyun 4 instructor with +20 crit rate helm and fav greatsword. xingqiu pretty much same 2HoD 2NO. Tho I"m thinking about what is iterated @3:36, I'm not that good at dodging so I feel that I still need heals from bennett (bennett 4NO with healing stats) I haven't tried it yet on the current abyss cycle but would want to do so with what I have now. My current rotation: XL E >> Bennett Q >> Chongyun Q >> Bennett E >> Xingqiu QE (+E if sac sword proc) >> Chongyun E >> try get XL chili from gouba >> XL Q while adding normal attacks in between switches to trigger XQ rainswords.

god f11 is a nightmare even with this comp, you have to cleanse everyone with bennett's burst before pressing e or q
