Crazy how Colorado was able to get to the title from 9th and over an undefeated GA Tech. Truly a team of destiny. From 5th down to that “clipping” penalty in the Orange Bowl. They were winning in spite of themselves.
Colorados schedule was more brutal than Georgia techs that year, who was not undefeated but suffered a tie to a very very not great North Carolina team but nobody mentions that.. or the fact that mizzou had an absolute garbage field and wore longer cleats knowing that fact so CUs option offense looked like they were wearing roller skates
@@allengreene9954they just haven't played nobody till Oregon's beat down. 6-6. Tcu no good lost every playmaker from last year. Nebraska mediocre at best and was supposed to kill Colorado at but had to prevail against them so now usc next loss so 6-6. Years to come better yes but we shall see
I was at this game, my brothers last home game for the Huskers. For some reason they had the players tickets in the upper deck on the east side for this game.
A classic game by the luckiest team in CFB ever. LOL By the way I I respect the amount of time it takes to edit huddles. Listen sometimes I edit commercials since I have to merge two discs anyway and still it's a bit of a pain.
@@tommyhunter1817 Notre Dame and/or CU would have smashed GA Tech. Be glad GA Tech played a crippled and far lower ranked NU team with nothing to play for. For that, and Tom Osborne's resentment for CU, GA Tech got a split. Best win of their season was Virginia?
illinois was really good in 1990 they actually beat Colorado and damn near got to the rose bowl at 11-1 .. ended up 10-2 i think ... i jus remember that upset
Nebraska Fans got so mad that they begin throwing Oranges on the Field and Alfred Williams and Kanavis McGhee yelled back at them that they’re stuck picking up and cleaning all these Oranges because Colorado is going to the Orange Bowl👍🏿👍🏿👍🏿👍🏿😂😂😂😂
Back when Colorado and Nebraska were relative. Neither one is today. Nope, not even the Huskers. Nebraska has officially become "3-star central" in recruiting and now must play in the Big-10 with Ohio State, Michigan, Penn State, Oregon, USC, Wisconsin, et. al., brutal.
LOL, "Joseph threw four times last week..." Four times in a whole game, compared to today where it's twice that in a quarter. I didn't think those quarterbacks were very good at passing. Apparently that was relatively low priority then.
I remember that year tho Georgia Tech was complaining they should’ve been national champs that year . They actually split it between Georgia tech and Colorado. ESPN /USA had Georgia Tech #1 and Collegiate Football Poll had Colorado #1 so what happened Co National Champions between Georgia Tech and Colorado 1990 typical BS Winny Georgia tech lol oh well
Colorado had a loss and was one extra down short of a second loss Colorado didn't deserve the share it should've been both on the field fighting for the title

This was a game of destiny. CU needed this one to win the Championship.
Beautiful football weather. Bienemy redeemed himself.
And now, finally, after MANY years prime has Colorado ready to be relevant again! As a Buffalos fan I’m excited!!!

Man I miss smashmouth football
Back when shoulder pads were weapons of mass destruction
Thank you SB. Thought you downloaded this years ago..
I loved it when they actually introduced the starting lineups instead of the stupid players to watch where they name only two players
Gotta love that 34% completion percentage for Hagan of Colorado
Shadeur Sanders had a better QBR. That game was even more lopsided.

Sean Mcdonough on the call, legend!
What a team Colorado had! They were loaded!
On defense, and mike Pritchard.. my gawd, Hagan and joseph are trash at throwing a football. They make Lamar and taysom hill look like how Montana
They’re lucky they didn’t have to play Georgia Tech.
@tommyhunter1817 they would have wiped the floor with them... butt hurt Osborne gifted them with the coaches poll by stiffing CU
I would have loved to see Georgia tech even get off the bus in Lincoln on this day. They would have folded cuz it was 35 and raining

Top shelf college football
The patience to stick with Tom Osborne really paid off. You won’t see that in today’s world.
