A hand made teapot will never be as perfect and systematic as a good machine made teapot. However, the imperfections of a hand made teapot are what make them ever more perfect. Just like a hand paint portrait. A hand painted portrait is not as realistic as a photo, but a hand painted portrait captures the human soul. This hand made teapot captures a small part of the human soul.
I actually disagree with this sentiment. If you watch some of the fine-tuning she does with handle and spout, I think it would be difficult to get a perfect machine-made pot unless based off of a human-perfect template. To know by feel exactly how the handle should be, to know from experience exactly from where and how the water should flow... To be able to make minute adjustments if anything seems "off" or even to customize for an individual, maybe a large handle for a large hand, etc... I think a human-made pot could be more perfect in many instances.

Zhusha and Zhisha teapots are relatively expensive as the clay is from a specific region of China and it is running out, so the value of the teapots from there are increasing over time. They're specifically used for one type of tea most of the time as the clay is porous and absorbs the tea flavors and tannins, seasoning it over time. Usually these teapots are used most of the time for like an aged raw puerh tea as those taste really well when poured from a properly seasoned zisha clay teapot. A well-made and reasonably affordable zisha teapot from a licensed artisan can be anywhere from say 80-400$ USD depending on how many cc's it holds as well as the amount of time/design the teapot showcases.

50 minutes watching in silence , a mastercraftswoman demonstrating subtle technique and forming processes is 50 minutes of my time gladly spent, and not a second of it wasted.
It is clay work it can all be done without tools though they can make some things easier Essentially it is a butter knife a wooden spatula a wooden mallet carved from firewood a lazy Susan a set of calipers and a lot of practice
