  • Vines can be classified in various ways. Vines, in a lot of cases, are planted to cover things up. Retaining walls, rock walls or any harsh surface that you would like to soften is a great place for a vine. Vines can also help give texture to pergolas and other landscaping structures.

Idk why but when I see an abandoned building with green vines cover every part of the building it just feels nostalgic

    Hi Eric,
I have a question for you. We have a Spanish casita and in some areas I want to grow vines o nether house. I know a lot of folks will say not to grow vines on a home, but for the areas and this particular home I think it should be ok. I will be growing some vines over several Arched doors. Any suggestions on slower growing vines, that do not lose their leaves during fall and will keep a more manicured look for trimming. I thought maybe a fig vine, but their are so many species and am not too knowledgeable. Any insight would help!
