It is fun that there are fans those have listened some tracks tons more than people who have written those tracks, done recording and played maybe few times live if even that. And then feel let down when bands can't play their favorite. On rona time, it was great they did the Winter's Gate -stream, cause that album play greatest together, among great story behind. So was thinking that maybe these anniversary, like 20years of In The Halls of Awaiting (and The Elder), could and maybe should be done as streams as fan treat.
Insomnium are one of my favourite bands and I honestly had no idea that Ville was living here in York until very recently. That's pretty cool to be honest with you.
It's great episode of podcast. Mr Friman is very interesting person. I hope some day you will get someone from my country. Thank you for this episode. Shoutout to Jarno.
That was such an awesome interview. Ville is such a kind dude. I've had the pleasure of meeting him a few times and got to hang out with him on the 2016 70K Tons of Metal cruise. I was hoping I'd get to say hello to him on this upcoming cruise but it sounds like he'll be busy moving back Finland. Hopefully I get to see him onstage with Insomnium again soon!
Ville Vänni other guitarrist of Insomnium, in 2008 to 2011 he haved same problem, Ville Vänni studied medical area in surgery, after the release One for Sorrow in November of 2011 left the band to continue in the surgery specialist.
Watching this vid in Orlando, waiting to drive to Miami to get on the boat and see the Finns. Hoping that Sakis takes the stage with them - would be epic.
Our brother Ville is starting to sound a little bit Bri'ish innit?! Great interview all round. Love Insomnium, they're my favourite band by a large margin
Tank! It's Time for You discover another Great Finnish band combining beautiful melodies and death metal: Marianas Rest! New album coming out Soon via Napalm Records!
Awesome Interview! I sure hope all of the guys will be together during the 2023 USA tour! I'm getting VIP tickets regardless! Keep up the good work Tank!
What the hell?! Is it only me, who after 19 episodes noticed that this is the "Back" lounge and not "Black" lounge? :D What was going through my mind all the time? :D
People have absurd ideas of touring brands. There are a handful of band that actually fly somewhere and have gig and then the next gig in wherever they want to. For the rest of the bands there's no glamour and for the technicians there's even less. I dunno what Tank had done.
Great conversation! Ville is such an intelligent, humble and interesting person. Also shoutout to Jarno 😁
Jumping into Feb 2023..thank you so much for this interview too! \m/
