Fog vs control is the strangest fight I’ve seen. One puts so much energy into making sure their opponent can’t do anything, meanwhile the fog player doesn’t want to do anything.
Thoralf: I'll just counter all of your important spells, not the card draw. Carl: Jokes on you, I'm playing win conditionless turbofog, I HAVE NO IMPORTANT SPELLS!
Interesting to know that the interview sections are recorded mid game. I would like to personally thank the editor for their work, really helps me understand what's going on as a kitchen table magic enjoyer.
I honestly thought they'd just record the game, then later interview each other based on the events of the game, and splice the footage. Seems easier that way. Uninterrupted game, and uninterrupted interview
I almost threw a brick at my monitor when you let the 5/5 hit you instead of blocking with your 1/3 and zapping it with the four Deserts ... until I remembered that Ward counters abilities and not just spells. Oof. Not that it would have mattered I don't think, but still. Fun video! I haven't played Magic in quite some time but this format seems like it'd be really fun - tons of otherwise underplayed cards and it seems like the opportunity for solid homebrewing is there!
Whoever chose the change in music at 24:06 made an excellent choice. The entire sequence from there was just awesome and the audio choice really helped enhance that!
@@simplyrin210 I have a turbo fog edh deck. The most common win condition is to play Glacial Chasm and then cast a Hurricane (or similar) for 40+ mana. There are no infinite combos, but the commander is Sasaya Orochi Ascendant who's flip side makes your mana insane.

I love this match so much. As somebody who piloted all sorts of insane jank at Type 1 tournaments back in the day, I can tell you that doing something completely unexpected has huge value all on its own. It's so easy to lead somebody down the garden path when you're playing something funky. And when they finally realize what's happening, it's too late. "Oh no, I shouldn't have let you resolve Fluctuator!" Tough, now I'm drawing my whole deck and locking down every creature you ever play. Game 2?

That turbo fog was super fun and the video has absolutely sublime editing overall! Love the little sound effects and appreciate the well documented info via an UI.
That being said, as a minor criticism, I think reducing the volume of the music in intense phases would be better. It's a tad too loud und thus distractive for my taste. Another solution would to be to choose a little less hectic and more chill background music. Talking about it, I think some chill music would actually benefit your content in several ways, as your videos tend to appear a bit hectic overall - very fast plays and fast talking.
