But they must not compromise this with studies. Because in 21st century education is one of those thing which you want to prioritise at highest level. Anyways enjoy exploring india. Also visit Himachal Pradesh, uttrakhand you will have amazing experiences.
Nice review of a beautiful hotel. There is another luxurious hotel in Kolkata-Lalit Great Eastern (previously known as the Great Eastern and before that as the Auckland hotel). That hotel is around 183 years old, has been nationalised in post independence India but got privatised again and then got renovated a decade back. It has lot of history and heritage around it. Lot of famous personalities have stayed there in past. Make a review of that hotel if you can.

This hotel is just huge. I remember ITC Sonar Bangla being a pretty large hotel... But after this one came up, that one is now lost like a lilliput in comparison.

But from outside I've seen how a really big hotel like ITC Sonar can be just obliteratingly dwarfed in a few years. lol But in my personal opinion, the Oberoi Grand in Kolkata is more 'beautiful', being a Heritage Property. And their service is a class apart. I stayed once there due to a family function, and their manager explained that they have a special "Anti-Damp System" installed throughout the hotel to prevent mould and keep the "Old Building Smell" away. I was a teenager and was fascinated by that. And you're right, the Oberoi Grand Calcutta has never been altered (except their entrance route) - only renovated. That's because they're not allowed to. Heritage Properties have these restrictions - the same as in New York's Heritage Districts.
No doubt ITC Royal Bengal is a very good hotel, but as u visit different hotels in different cities of India u will find so many exotic hotels. For example visit Taj Mumbai, visit the 5 n 7 star hotels of jaipur, jodhpur, udaipur where palaces of kings r transformed in super luxurious hotels n the mesmerizing thing is their architecture. U will get mesmerised.

I did notice the buildings that are very similar to London.
I liked the JW Marriott kitchen buffet more than than Itc Royal bengal.
